Potential of energy production from waste

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is creating energy from the incineration of waste. In the first part, the current situation of waste management of the Czech Republic and other states of the Europian Union is outlined. Then the thesis is focused on waste incineration in waste-to-energy plants and various approaches of energy efficiency evaluation are described. In the second part, energy efficiency with various modes of thermal and electrical energy production is analyzed, using the model of WtE plant. In conclusion, obtained data of energy efficiencies are compared with conventional energy sources.

EU energy policy towards a region of the Caspian Sea

The main factor of prosperity of energy resources is to find reliable access. The always increasing demand for energy resources and population increase make big uncertainty in energy and economic security. Europe Union does not have much of their own energy resources and therefore is forced to import these. At the moment Russia is the main key partner in providing oil and gas, with this dependency on Russia we can see security risks leading to energy instability. Europe Union is actively trying to eliminate this dependency and trying to diverse and find new suppliers and new transit routes. The region around Caspian Sea might be alternative for securing supplies of oil and gas. The fundamental part of this bachelor thesis is to analyse economic utility and energy potential in Caspian Sea region and also is going to evaluate the activity of EU towards this region with purpose to establish new transit routes and by doing this to eliminate EU dependency on Russia and its associated risks.

Business cycles convergence between eurozone and the new EU member states

The paper examines the degree of convergence between the business cycles of the new EU member states and eurozone. This convergence is a necessary condition for a troublefree operation of a monetary union. Several analyses have been used to assess the problem -- pure time series correlation, correlation of detrended time series and of lagged series, and above all impulse-response functions correlation and forecast error variance decomposition. Finally, the paper briefly assesses the evolution of business cycles convergence.

The development of insurance after revolution in the Czech republic

This thesis is focused on the development of the system of insurance after revolution in the Czech republic. The period contains last twenty years, from the velvet revolution in 1989, over the decomposition of the Czechoslovakia, break the century, joining the Europian Union till presence. The thesis covers the concepts and definitions of the insurance market, modern trends, statistics and legislative changes in the whole period.

Vedoucí práce doc., JUDr. Jan Pichrt, Ph.D. The aim of the thesis is mainly to highlight the level of coverage by collective agreements in the CR and to analyze the impact of collective bargaining for employees and employers using available statistical data. By the evaluation of the processes of collective bargaining and focusing on its individual institutes I am looking for the perfect method of handling the collective bargaining so as to be beneficial for both parties involved, and try to present the method how the modern trade union should work in its interaction with the employer, different from the common practice of today's trade unions. I also point out the need for proper analysis of the situation prior to collective bargaining and the method of selecting strategy for negotiations. I chose the topic based on my personal experience with the representation of employees and involvement in the collective bargaining and also on the experience of participation in the EWC.

Discrimination in the labour market

The aim of the submitted thesis ?Discrimination in the labour market? is to analyze the actual state of discrimination in the labor market in the Czech Republic. First part introduces describes the concepts of the theme and the legislation which covers this area. It is then evaluated the unemloyed into the labor market in the Czech Ruublic and comparison with the Europen Union. In conclusion, suggestions are given for possible improvements in favor of reducing discrimination.
