Zajištění spolehlivého přístupu k energetickým zdrojům je hlavním faktorem prosperity. Stále narůstající poptávka po energetických surovinách a růst populace vyvolává nejistoty energetické a ekonomické bezpečnosti. Evropská unie má svých vlastních nalezišť energetických surovin velmi málo, proto musí z velké míry fosilní paliva dovážet. Ruská federace se stala klíčovým partnerem v zajišťování dodávek ropy a zemního plynu a s touto znatelnou závislostí na Rusku se objevují ale i s ní spojená bezpečnostní rizika vedoucí k energetické nestabilitě. Evropská unie se svými aktivitami snaží tuto závislost eliminovat a diverzifikovat dodavatele a tranzitní trasy. Region Kaspické moře může pro Evropskou unii znamenat určitou alternativu pro zajišťování dodávek ropy a zemního plynu. Stěžejní částí práce bude analýza ekonomické využitelnosti a energetického potenciálu regionu Kaspického moře a dále bude zhodnocena aktivita EU vůči tomuto regionu s cílem vytvoření nových tranzitních tras mimo ruské území a tím eliminovat závislost EU na Ruské federaci a s ní spojená rizika. The main factor of prosperity of energy resources is to find reliable access. The always increasing demand for energy resources and population increase make big uncertainty in energy and economic security. Europe Union does not have much of their own energy resources and therefore is forced to import these. At the moment Russia is the main key partner in providing oil and gas, with this dependency on Russia we can see security risks leading to energy instability. Europe Union is actively trying to eliminate this dependency and trying to diverse and find new suppliers and new transit routes. The region around Caspian Sea might be alternative for securing supplies of oil and gas. The fundamental part of this bachelor thesis is to analyse economic utility and energy potential in Caspian Sea region and also is going to evaluate the activity of EU towards this region with purpose to establish new transit routes and by doing this to eliminate EU dependency on Russia and its associated risks.
