Efficiency of regulation of minor stationary pollution sources
Blažková, Pavla ; Jílková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Vejchodská, Eliška (referee)
Despite the fact that most of developed countries are succesful in reducing emissions of pollutants, the problem in many places is still deteriorating air quality situation. Air pollution is a problem also for the Czech Republic, where some regions are more affected than others. Therefore was in this thesis chosen one of them, the area of northern Bohemia and specifically the area of Teplice. The work focuses on pollution caused by local heating device because this pollution is not currently regulated. The aim of this work is to determine the behavior of households for heating by local heating device through a questionnaire survey. Especially was monitored the reaction for potential regulatory tool- the motivational subsidy. From these data was in more detail examined the dependence between the amount of subsidies and net monthly income using the Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficient. Research showed no major statistical context, however, for the first time was held an investigation of multispecies heating in households thanks to which it can be better analyzed the reasons for frequent heating with solid fuels.

Contract as understood by the economic analysis of law
Bartošek, Jan ; Maršálek, Pavel (referee) ; Kühn, Zdeněk (advisor)
142 Abstract Economic Analysis of Contract and Contract Law (Master Thesis) Jan Bartošek This thesis analyzes contracts and contract law from the Law and Economics point of view. In other words, in this thesis, economic approach is utilized to assess the above mentioned areas of law introducing and employing crucial concepts such as the Coase Theorem (and its underlying notions of the efficiency of law), Posner's theory of market-mimicking law, or Guido Calabresi's concept of legal rules. Moreover, various attitudes toward the economic analysis of law are addressed; and the status and future of Law and Economics (with regard to the European and especially Czech context) are considered. The argument is structured in three parts: the first part summarizes the historical development of Law and Economics and presents its standard analytical tools; the second part embraces the problems of contract and contract law within the framework of Law and Economics (perfect and imperfect contracts or the problem of efficient breach); and, finally, the third - analytical - part of the thesis applies the economic tools to the judicial decisions-making process both in general and in real life by reviewing two sets of decisions made by the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. In sum, the thesis' three-tier structure does not...

Efficiency and Administrative Intensity Analysis of Small Stationary Sources Pollution Fee
Šmrhová, Petra ; Jílková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Vojáček, Ondřej (referee)
Especially in the last decades human society became aware of the negative impacts of their activities on environment quality. Charges or fees are one of the regulatory instruments of environmental politics. The major function of fees or charges is the incentive to change behaviour of human society. The small stationary sources reduce significantly local air quality. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate these sources. The objective of this thesis is to prove, that collecting of existing charges or fees for small stationary sources is economically uneffective. There will be applied Cost Benefit Analysis for comparison of the administrative costs to the fiscal incomes.

Comparison of seasonal changes of ecophysiological characteristic of two selected trees under stress of the urban environment
ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis deals with the study of impact of stress to the two types of broadleaved trees in urban environment during the growing season. The studied species were Small-leaved Lime (Tilia cordata) and London Planetree (Platanus acerifolia). Trees are the important part of the urban environment both from an aesthetic standpoint and from the standpoint of the reduction of negative effects of the urban environment. However, these trees are under the constant influence of stress factors with which they have to deal (air pollution, water, temperature). Some trees deal with stress better but some worse. Because of this fact, two different types of trees were selected, which are able to deal with stress by their own way. As indicators of physiological state of plants under stress, the content of photosynthetic pigments and photochemical efficiency of PS II (QY and QY') were monitored at individual trees. The measurements were carried out always two days consecutively from May to September 2013 in Jiráskovo nábřeží in České Budějovice. Every month, the spectrophotometric measurement to determine the pigments in a leaf was carried out. For the spectrophotometric measurements, twenty-four leaves were measured in total; for the fluorescent measurement, thirty leaves were measured in total. The obtained values of both methods were processed and evaluated by graphs, which together with the average values show the statistic demonstrability of difference between the measured trees in city. According to these measured values, Small-leaved Lime seemed to be more vital at a given location, although London Planetree is marked in the literature as more resistant one towards the urban stress.
