Bařinová, Petra ; Grmelová, Nicole (advisor) ; Hubková, Pavlína (referee)
A Corruption is perceived as a threat of the economical and political stability worldwide therefore a lot of anti-corruption steps are taken and the priority is given to international cooperation. To minimize the potential risk of corruption it is necessary to interconnect the systems of anti-corruption fight. In my thesis, the stress is put on the link between the law regulation of European Union and law regulations of member states aiming the Czech Republic measures. The anti-corruption legal framework set by the European Union has the preventive and represive character and it gives to every member state a space for its own anti-corruption iniciative to make the whole anti-corruption system more effective. The thesis is focused on criminal law, but there is also mentioned other areas of law as well as the relevant EU organizations and authorities. In the end I give specific results and recommendations.

Tobacco and the state budget
Brabec, Petr ; Běláčková, Vendula (advisor) ; Písař, Pavel (referee)
This diploma thesis examines the influence of the use, distribution and production of tobacco products on the Czech Republic state budget. In the theory part it presents some works that have dealt with the problem of the tobacco up till now and also different aspects of the state budget that are linked to the tobacco. Thus, it brings the theoretical background necessary for further work. The main part calculates, with regard on the presented theoretical background, the impact of the tobacco on different groups of Czech Republic state budget revenues and expenditures. The emphasis is put on the International Guidelines for Estimating the Costs of Substance Abuse of 2001, especially on the part concerning state budgets. The thesis does not focus only on the direct influence (on the revenue side mainly the excise tax revenue) but also on the indirect influence (i.e. revenues and expenditures that do not take place). The goal of the thesis is to answer the question whether the Czech Republic state budget is worse off because of the tobacco or whether the tobacco industry, in its widest sense, "sponsors" the treasury.

The issue of RTO and RPO in business continuity management
Salai, Viktor ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Martanová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis is concerned about Business Continuity Management with the focus on determination of the RTO and RPO parameters. The work is divided into two main parts. The first section briefly describes theoretical issues of Business Continuity Management in conjunction with IT Service Continuity Management. Then there are described various technologies that are currently used to ensure continuity and recovery of IT systems. In conclusion of the theoretical part, the work focuses on the process of Business Impact Analysis. This thesis thus offers a comprehensive view of main principles and benefits that these concepts have for company and how they should be integrated with each other. It provides an overview of various technologies, their link to RTO and RPO parameters and also the definition of steps of disaster recovery procedure. The work also briefly defines the basic procedure for determination of the RTO and RPO parameters, subsequent steps needed to design recovery solutions and analyzes various aspects which need to be considered when defining the parameters of continuity. The second practical part is based on the previous theoretically defined procedure and its aim is to analyze the data acquired during the questionnaire investigation in chosen company to determine the parameters of continuity for the applications in use and then suggest appropriate ways of addressing their backup and recovery. The result of this thesis is therefore a description of the analysis and practical application of methods for setting the parameters for continuity of information systems and the subsequent establishment of necessary measures.

From the sensual experience to the transcendental one in the selected works by: A. Gide and J.M.G. Le Clézio
Vrchovecká, Jana ; Jamek, Václav (advisor) ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (referee)
Jana Vrchovecká: From the sensual experience to the transcendental one The tradition of sensualism or vitalism is rarely represented in the French literature. During the twentieth century several authors tried to revive this tendency. The first apologist was André Gide, whose work Les Nourritures terrestres (1893) was considered as a doctrine of the sensual attitude, and for its spiritual overlap it was even called The New evangel. The deification of the material aspect of the reality becomes the link with the last holder of the Nobel Literature Prize: Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio. In his early essay: L'Extase matérielle (1968) he also exalts the sensual experience as the base of the transcendental one. The first part of the work compares the authors' sensual attitude in the mentioned works by the analyse of the particular senses. The synchronic participation of all them should provoke the second state of consciousness whose first grade is the ecstasy and the most desired one is the prophetic mind. The second part analyses the factors that contribute to this double objective. The necessary condition is the anchoring in the present moment. Both the authors worship the cult of the Sun which substitutes the traditional notion of the God. However, the individual must also cut out the bonds that impede...

The use of laser microdissection for the genotyping of biological material isolated during an abortion.
Beranová, Karina ; Krátký, Martin (advisor) ; Kopečný, Michal (referee)
The use of laser microdissection for the genotyping of biological material isolated during an abortion Abstract In forensic genetics laser microdissection is used mainly as a method of cell separation from samples of mixed biological traits of sexually motivated crimes. It can also be used in paternity testing via genotyping of biological material isolated during an abortion. The foetal part of placenta is separated from the acquired samples and a pure DNA profile of the foetus is determited. This DNA can be compared to the suspect's DNA. The goal of this project is the application of laser microdissection to separate chorionic villi from a placenta and the subsequent genetic analysis leading to the determination of a pure foetal DNA profile. A secondary goal was the preparation and optimization of the method necessary for its introduction to forensic practice. In the first phase the optimization of the sample preparation was conducted on test sections of muscular tissue and epithelial cells from a buccal swap. Experimental material acquired during abortions of voluntary donors was used in the second phase. This technique was simultaneously tested on material directly linked to criminal acts. The separation of 10 chorionic villi cells with the method of laser microdissection eventually resulted in the...

Nozokomiální nákazy šířené pracovníky intenzivní péče nemocnice Liberec
MARCINKOVÁ, Helena
The topic of my thesis is Nosocomial infections spread by the personnel of intensive care unit in the hospital in Liberec. The main reason for the choice of this topic was my encounter with this infection when I worked as a nurse during my practical training course. Nosocomial infection can be defined as an infection originating from the encounter between a micro-organism and a patient. The patient can be weakened by his or her primary disorder and therapeutic interventions. This fact helps create an optimal environment for spreading the infection. Nosocomial infections occur only in specific conditions. They represent a problem which is necessary to solve. They affect on average 5 to 10 % of patients. If they are present in organism, the course of primary disorder can worsen and the permanent consequence or death may occur. They also bring adverse economic consequences because they require significant financial costs linked to treatment with prolonged stay in hospital. My thesis was divided into two parts-theoretical and practical. In both of them I tried to find answers to my questions (in form of hypotheses). In theoretical part I described the history of nosocomial infections, which is narrowly related to construction of hospitals; then I mapped the origin and spread of nosocomial infections and also their laboratory diagnostics, treatment and prevention. In practical part I devoted myself to research which is focused on evaluation of level of sanitary washing in medical personnel in intensive care units, and also on personnel ´s knowledge of nosocomial infections by means of questionnaires. I evaluated eighty questionnaires, which were distributed in the hospital in Liberec. The questionnaires were also filled in by students of nursing subject at university in Liberec. These students perform their practical training in the hospital in Liberec. The results of research show that sanitary washing of medical personnel in intensive care unit is adequate and their knowledge of nosocomial infections is average. The knowledge of students is average, too. The research proves that sanitary washing is not an adequate prevention of nosocomial infections.

Šmídová, Gabriela ; Švestka, Jiří (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
Resumé v anglickém jazyce The topic of this thesis is "Liability for damage of the ski area operator." Legislation of the ski area operator's liability for damage is primarily embodied in the Civil Code. When interpreting and applying the legal rules in Civil Code, is necessary based not only on this codification, but also use other legal regulations, even non-legal nature. In drawing conclusions about a private law liability for damage of the ski area operator is necessary to distinguish between two main activities with which the operation of the ski area is linked, and those are a) operation of the cableways, ski lifts and other transport facilities providing the transportation of skiers or snowboarders to the top and b) management of the downhill slopes allowing ride down the slopes of the skiers or snowboarders from the final station of the cableway or ski lift down the valley. This distinction is necessary not only from a purely practical point of view but also from a legal perspective. Operation of the cableways, ski lifts or other transport facilities providing the transportation for skiers or snowboarders is the provision of transport services within the meaning of the Railway Act. Any damage cause by the special nature of this operation is damage according to § 427 paragraph 1 of the Civil Code,...
