Prevention of risky behavior of primary school children

This diploma thesis deals with problematics of children with risk behavior in elementary schools and possible means of prevention. The thesis is divided into two main parts. Theoretical part lists types of risk behavior, their causes and prevention of these problems. It also informs about prevention programs in elementary schools. The practical part then presents the results of hybrid research - questionnaire surveys and interviews. The target of the quantitative survey is to find out what types of risk behavior are most common in elementary schools, what is the techers' point of view at this issue and how they work with such a student. The qualitative research further informs about specific problems of children with risk behavior and offers more detailed results about occurrence of preventive programs in primary schools. The thesis was created as a part of GAJU Project (GAJU 154/2016/S) "Preparedness of students and fresh graduates of PF JU to solve educational problems of pupils."

Use of descriptors for evaluating the input and output knowledge and skills in elementary school students

Bachelor thesis "Using descriptors for evaluation of the input and output of knowledge and skills of 2nd grade elementary school students" deals with the evaluation and effectiveness of primary prevention, which is performed by non-profit organization Semiramis z.ú. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the concepts of primary prevention, program evaluation, minimal preventive program, the target groups of primary prevention and social skills. The second part deals with the research itself and creation of the descriptors (questionnaires), which are used in the research. Descriptors measure the knowledge and skills of students before and immediately after the block. On the basis of acquired data and mutual comparison with the results recorded by teachers of primary prevention, I find that performed primary prevention programs are effective.

Psychological Aspects of Prevention of Sexual Risk Behavior with Attention to Attitudinal Changes in Adolescents

Sexual risk behavior is a phenomenon affecting physical and mental health of an individual. In this paper, the psychological aspects of specific types of sexual risk behavior with attention to its causes as well as its consequences are presented. It is focused on a developmental period of adolescence in the context of the risk behavior syndrome in adolescents. Furthermore, effective approaches to preventive activities are discussed. As for the objectives of programs, the main aim is to influence the attitudes of adolescents. These changes should be reflected in their behavior and can be measured. The paper projects a questionnaire for attitudes towards sexual risk behavior of adolescents entitled Inventory SP-20 that is also used in a research design. In the experiment, changes in attitudes within the preventive programs are measured. The change can be an indicator of effectivity of the programs. In the theoretical part, findings related to the oral hygiene, oral health, dental care and preventive programs are presented. The practical part refers about research carried out on 96 teenagers in the age of 14 to 19, about their familiarity with this issue and expected responding on dental care in this age group. All adolescents say they visit a dentist, mostly for preventive reasons, most of them report to brush the teeth twice per day, state general satisfaction with their teeth and the dentist. Taking the fact of the responents being in the growing up phase into consideration, it is probable to identify here theso called effect of social desiderability. Discussion and conclusions sum up the obtained results.

The differences are described and explained in the practical part of the thesis. Finally, the possible ways how to enrich and improve the quality of primary prevention programs in primary schools are listed. Prevention yes or no.

In this paper I discuss the scope and availability of preventive care offered to the citizens in the Czech Republic. In summary, there is provided a legal framework for preventive examinations for adults, guidelines for their delivery, their complex content, including other preventive recommendations. Are mentioned preventive programs recommended cancer specialist oncology company, in accordance with the recommendations of the Council of the European Union. They are listed here preventative programs related to breast cancer, colorectal cancer and cervical cancer. Colorectal cancer is a analysis in more detail, including the possibility of screening tests and stool tests for blood in the stool. The research is by using questionnaires focused on the research, which covers just preventive examinations, stool tests for the presence of blood in the context of their use, customer information, including their compliance. There is an emphasis on recommendations and the need for good screening operation, interdepartmental cooperation and appropriate information to citizens. What lessons and assessment would wish to use in their workplace in an ambulance practitioner, including the transmission of information and experience with this topic colleagues in between the involved ambulances. DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jana Mottlová, Ph.D. Abstract: The thesis deals with the issue of juvenile delinquency and punishment possibilities, in particular the alternative ones. The thesis describes alternative punishments from the point of view of the justice system and how they are perceived by society. Consequently, the thesis introduces potential reasons of juvenile delinquency, the role of the family, school, and peer groups in the upbringing process. The thesis is also focused on the institutions concerning with juvenile delinquency and participating in criminal proceedings. Activities of the Probation and Mediation Office are described in detail. The last but not least matter is the possibility of prevention programmes in the Czech Republic and abroad. Bullying from the view of teachers and pupils in the chosen basic school

Title: Bullying from the viewpoint of teachers and students at the selected elementary school. Abstract: This paper presents views and observations on the subject of bullying from the viewpoint of teachers and students of the second level of a selected elementary school in Prague 6. The theoretical section contains definition of basic terms. Organisation of the selected school in Prague 6 is described. Research forms a major part of the Thesis. Surveys were carried out by means of questionnaires, observations and interviews. Results show a positive climate at the school created by teachers. Agressive behaviour is not overlooked and is dealt with by each teacher individually. The elementary school cooperates with a citizens group Prev-centrum which prepares preventive programs for individual classes. Bullying does take place at the school but at a much lower level than presented by media and what is common at some other elementary schools. Prevention programmes against cyber-bullying in the Czech rep.

The subject of my bachelor work is cyber bullying as one of forms classic bullying and theoretical and practical prevention of this phenomenon. This work focus mainly on a way, in which is this new form of bullying solved and what programmes are existing in the Czech republic specifically to prevent cyberbullying. These programmes are evaluated. The bachelor work contains definition of the term cyberbullying in wider understanding - At first the work focuses on classic bullying, then the role of cyberspace in social interaction. Another basic theory for my work is theory of evaluation. Next part of the work is definition of the term cyberbullying as a social problem. This part includes forms and instruments of cyberbullying. I also pay attention on specific cases of cyberbullying in the Czech republic and abroad. Further there are researches and legislation about this topic in the Czech republic and abroad. The next part focuses on prevention of cyberbullying in our country - advices for stakeholders (children, parents, teachers) dealing with social patological phenomena.
