The study of water quality in springs and wells in Křivoklátsko area.
Brabenec, Tomáš ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Popovský, Jiří (referee)
At present, the nature around us is constantly being polluted by anthropogenic activities; therefore the quality of all components of the environment, including water must be monitored. This thesis examines mainly the water quality in selected springs and wells in the Protected Landscape Area of Křivoklátsko. For individual wells is shown in what environment they are and even some history. Several locations were tipped off where water sampling was carried out, and in the laboratory the basic physico-chemical parameters were defined. In conclusion of this thesis, are the individual wells and springs included in water quality classes according to CSN 75 7221. It is shown that monitored parameters have exceeded limits and whether the water in a well and spring is drinking or not.

The goal was to find out how the author forms the characters and their relationship using sources, especially the correspondence. At the same time this thesis delineates the difference between facts and fiction with an example of Kožík's novels.
Let's give life to recent history ... or how to teach contemporary history in high schools
Hofnerová, Marcela ; Mücke, Pavel (advisor) ; Vaněk, Miroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis entitled Let's revive recent history… or how to teach contemporary history in secondary schools is conceived in the form of a methodological manual for secondary school teachers who would like to understand their teaching of contemporary history in an interesting, research and effective way. It outlines the obstacles due to which teachers avoid contemporary history, and compares and evaluates history textbooks, which are among the most commonly used in teaching at secondary schools. It is also clear here how much space is devoted to contemporary history in these textbooks and which topics of contemporary history are preferred by the framework educational program. The work is focused on Czechoslovak and Czech contemporary history, for which it offers the possibility of using various Internet platforms, which are directly intended for teachers or from them can draw inspiration for their teaching. Last but not least, it also offers several activities involving working with sources or other period artifacts that can be used in class. At the same time, it offers the possibility of thematic excursions with supplementary material, which can be used to effectively supplement teaching. The work also presents a small research, which aims to map the attitude of history teachers to the...
The springs of the radioactive medicinal groundwaters in the Chrastava - Bogatynia area
Černík, Tomáš ; Goliáš, Viktor (advisor) ; Vylita, Tomáš (referee)
A radiogeochemical exploration in the area of Chrastava - Bogatynia belonging into lugic region was conducted in the years 2012 - 2013. This exploration's objective was to search for and investigate radioactive water manifestations with radioactivity concentration reaching minimal value of 1500 Bq/l 222Rn. This boundary is set in the spa law no. 164/2001 Sb. as a minimal radioactivity concentration for radioactive mineral water. In this area, 30 water manifestations were discovered meeting the boudary of >1500 Bq/l 222Rn. The most significant cluster is located in Albrechtice by Frýdlant. Close to Kančí vrch (Boar Hill) 12 radioactive water springs were discovered. In the town of Albrechtice, a discovery of dissolved salts- rich radioactive mineral water was made, concerning springs Soumar and Matka. The most mineralized spring Soumar contains more than 1 g/l of dissolved salts (hydrochemical type Na-Ca-Cl water with total mineralization up to 1,5 g/l) combined with it's 222Rn activity surpassing 1500 Bq/l. Another significant cluster is located near the town of Nová Ves by Chrastava, where the most active source of the whole area, Mikulášský pramen (Mikulash Spring), with activity up to 2821 Bq/l 222Rn, was found. Another three radioactive water springs were found in this area. Also, probable dry...

Post-war history of Roms in Czechoslovakia in the Eye-Witness Perspective: Possibilities of Reconstruction of Post-War Migration of a Selected Group of Roms from Slovakia into the Czech Lands
Sadílková, Helena ; Červenka, Jan (advisor) ; Vaněk, Miroslav (referee) ; Pavelčíková, Nina (referee)
This thesis is concentrated on the topic of the post-war migration of Roms from Slovakia to the Czech Lands as the crucial process in the post-war history of Roms on the territory of former Czechoslovakia which had its effects not only on individual groups of Roms living in Slovakia and migrating to the Czech Lands, but also on the next developments in the relations of the Czech majority society towards the Roms and changes in the approach to them on the side of central state institutions. The thesis offers a presentation of a complex historic case study of post-war migration of a particular local group of Roms from south- eastern Slovakia to the city of Brno (Moravia), based on a synthetic research method combining both oral history and written sources of mostly regional provenience. The author has applied the method in two different contexts: while reconstructing the developments in the situation of the group of Roms and their relations with the majority society in Slovakia during 1920' to 1970's, and while mapping the post-war migration of part of these people in relation to two localities in the Czech Lands, with one representing a transit locality of their early post-war migration and the other their final destination where this group of Roms lives still today. The author places the case study...
Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in G Minor, op. 33, by Antonín Dvořák - Early and Final Version
Šmídová, Ludmila ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Kachlík, Jan (referee) ; Ottlová, Marta (referee)
Ph.D. Thesis Abstract Piano Concerto in G Minor, op. 33, by Antonín Dvořák - Early and Final Version Critical Edition of the Score // Study about the Origin, the First Printing and the Performance Practice The dissertation is focused on the Concerto for Piano by Antonín Dvořák from 1876 - an outstanding composition not only in the Czech milieu but in all the European context as well - , which was a very long time condemned for its "unsuitable" piano part. The thesis summarizes all existing knowledge of the history of the origins and reception of the Dvořák's Piano Concerto, which is further verified on the basis of written contemporary sources (Dvořák's correspondence and contemporary press, sometimes yet unknown). Distorted and false pieces of information are corrected and supplemented with new findings (relating to the performances, interpreters, arrangements). Thanks to them, the author presents a new sight of the history of the reception of this composition from inception until the beginning of present century. For the first time all musical sources are examined in detail and relations between them studied (autograph with revisions between years 1876-1883, a copy of the score, which Leoš Janáček let made in 1878/9 and materials of the first printing J. Hainauer from 1883). Then author draws attention to...
Financing of Small Municipalities in the Czech Republic and its Political Impact
Hornek, Jakub ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Masopustová, Ilona (referee)
The thesis, Financing of Small Municipalities in the Czech Republic and its Political Impact, reflects a complex topic currently noticeable in the Czech Republic: the existence of critically indebted small municipalities. According to the yearly monitoring provided by the Ministry of Finance, the number of ill-financed communities is increasing. Due to their financial situation, a considerable number of small municipalities are forced to suspend many of the services provided to the residents, even though the legislation in effect guarantees equal competences for both small and big municipalities. In the case of indebted small municipalities, the difficulties are even multiplied. Often, the municipality is forced to abandon the prospect of further development and mere survival is in question. In the above- described communities, the participation in municipal politics tends to be significantly low and the residents express overall disinterest in public affairs. The aim of this work is to present three examples of highly indebted small municipalities with the number of citizens under 500 and to provide a detailed analysis on their situation. The analysed municipalities are the following: Bublava, Nebanice and Prameny and are situated in the Karlovy Vary Region. Inasmuch as the character of the topic...
