Open Access Area of the National Technical Library in Practice

This thesis studies an open access area of National Technical Library (NTL). Thesis includes a description of the collection manipulation in Klementinum, including moving of the collection to deposits in its new building in Dejvice. Furthermore it describes organization of the processing and delivering of the open access collection from the new building deposits to the open access area of NTL. The collection, which is assigned for an open access area is built according to the Library of Congress Classification. The aim of this thesis is to describe the integrated process of open access area handling. The thesis describes positives and negatives that appeared during the collection establishment. Furthermore it describes experience after one year of operation in the new building. As an output of this successful collection establishment in NTL, two questionnaires were compiled - one for employees and one for customers. The purpose of the questionnaires was to depict the feedback of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the open access area. In the end of the thesis problem areas and issues from the collection establishment realization, including suggested corrective solutions, are described.

Concise history of book culture in China: from the earliest written records to the 11th century A.D.

Bakalářská práce podává stručný přehled dějin čínské knižní kultury od nejstarších písemných památek do rozvoje tisku z pohyblivých typů, tedy do 11. stol. n. l. Práce je rozdělena na základě způsobu zaznamenání informací (tj. podle použitého materiálu a podle metody zápisu) do tří logicky na sebe navazujících celků. První pojednává o knižní kultuře před vynálezem papíru, a tedy zahrnuje nejdelší období - z toho důvodu je první části věnováno nejvíce místa. Druhý celek zachycuje dobu objevu papíru spolu s dobou tisku z dřevěných desek. Poslední, třetí část, pak stručně pojednává o tisku z pohyblivých typů a vzrůstající knižní produkci, neboť s rozvojem knihtisku dochází i k nárůstu tištěných knih. Na úplný konec je uveden výčet knižních katastrof, ke kterým v průběhu čínských dějin došlo. Cílem práce je seznámit veřejnost s dějinami knižní kultury v Číně (do 11 stol. n. l.).

Cube Solids - Their Educational Use

This diploma thesis deals with cube solids and their application in the lessons of mathematics. It is focused on individual experiments and their analysis. Most of the experiments were implemented in Derby, England, and they are described in English language. This is followed by experiments taken in the Czech environment; while one experiment is individual, the other one deals with two children. The next part of the diploma thesis is focused on investigation of several exercise books and their content of cube solids. Chosen exercises are looked at from different points of view and presented in a chart. As a part of judging the real situation in schools there is an interview with two experienced teachers. The interview is based on practical use of cube solids in the lessons and teachers' experience with 3D geometry.

Participation or Representation? Two Models of Bringing Women into Politics

Participation or Representation? Two Models of Bringing Women into Politics The question of underrepresentation of women in decision-making is one of the most important issues of feminist thought. Within inquiry of this problem the terms "political representation of women" and "political participation of women" are often used as synonyms without considering their different sense. The aim of this thesis is to show that concepts of "representation" and "participation" refer to two different ways of justifying bringing more women into politics. The first type can be considered as stronger claim due to carrying two additional questions - who and what should women in politics actually represent. In my view representation is connected first with the issue of interests and second with some concept of women's identity. The second type - participation - is presented as weaker claim in the sense of demanding "only" actual access to rights which are formally secured for women (or rather persons identified as women) on the basis of justice. Practical use of these two models is illustrated on the case of affirmative action and its justification. Title: The anthropomorphism in selected writings of Erwin Moser Summary: This work should demonstrate that in the book of fable stories Der Einsame Frosch and in the book of animal fairy tales Die drei Eulen und sieben andere Geschichten from Erwin Moser was used the anthropomorphism as a building component in order to moral advice. In the first part there are introduced the genres important for this books and their the most important representatives or genres types. In the second part of this work there is the main analysis of the every particular story. It was managed to prove that the anthropomorphism was used in order to moral advice. Simulation and measurement of dispersions in optical access networks

Thesis deals with detailed description of the chromatic dispersion–CD and polarization mode dispersion–PMD. In theoretical part is dismantled at the beginning of words and mathematical principles of dispersion, further distribution of dispersion in terms of single-mode and multi-mode optic fibers through compensation, either fibers (chromatic dispersion) or systems (polarization mode dispersion). Theoretical part also consult the standard ITU-T specifically in term of fibers G.652, G.653, G.655, G.656, G.657, are described and compared. The penultimate section deals with major subject and by measuring both of the above dispersions. Finally, the theoretical part is devoted to optical access networks, which describes the optical access network such as its division and at the end describes the different types networks as APON/BPON, GPON, EPON, 10GEPON and XG-PON. The practical part is divided into measurement dispersions (EXFO FTB-5700) and simulation dispersions (OptSim). Both steps use the same type and length of fiber (6 km G.653, 20, 60 km G.652). According before creating the measured and simulation diagrams are obtained fibres parameters, which are finally compared.

Depreciation of long term tangible and intangible property from tax and accounting point of view

The topic of this bachelor work is {\clqq}Depreciations of long-term tangible and intangible property from tax and accounting point of view.`` Depreciations can be divided in two groups namely in book depreciations and tax depreciations. Both of these two groups have their own specific functions and they can not be confused. Book depreciations abide by accounting act and they are authorized to accounting entity. Book depreciations set a real margin of property wear, they are dependent on their supposed durability life, the way of usage and so on. Book depreciations are only book costs, which are not tax unacceptable and set lasting decrease in value of the property. Book depreciations decline the trading income. Tax depreciations abide by the law of income taxes, this law is accepted for all taxpayers. Tax depreciations apply just for the purpose of determination of tax base not for the purpose of determination of real durability life and on the way of property usage. Exercitation of tax depreciations as an entry lowering the income tax base is not the duty but only the right for taxpayers. Statement of book depreciations and tax depreciations is in declaration of taxes.
