Assessing the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability
Zadražilová, Tereza ; Smékal, David (advisor) ; Čakrt, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis "Judging the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability" focuses on the problem of constitutional hypermobility (CH) and the influence of joint instability on stability mechanisms. The aim of the research was to find out whether there is a difference in stability mechanisms with tested subjects with CH and without it. Furthermore, the research focuses on the influence of mobility techniques on postural stability by the means of chosen tests carried out on Balance Master® System platform. The tested sample includes 14 women aged from 20 to 28, 7 women with constitutional hypermobility and 7 women as a control group. 6 tests were chosen for the measurement on Balance Master® platform. 2 static tests: modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance (mCTSIB), Unilateral Stance (US), and 4 dynamic tests: Limits of Stability (LOS), Rhytmic weight shift (RWS), Step Up Over (SUO) a Forward Lunge (FL). We compared the medians of output values of individual tests. It was assumed that subjects with KH would have significantly worse test results than the control group. Furthermore, it was supposed that the mobilization processes cause stability disturbance on the basis of cancellation of compensational , thus protective block in comparison with KS. Train Traffic Simulation with Optimization
Langhammer, Martin ; Chrpa, Lukáš (referee) ; Surynek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to create a train traffic simulation system with optimization. The created system can serve to find an optimal schedule for trains in a fixed railway network. An input of the presented system consists of a railway network, passangers' requirements, tariff rate zones, and a schedule. The output of the simulation is a profit. The profit depending on the schedule defines the objective function whose maximum we are tying to find. Two different algorithms were used to find the maximum profit - hill climbing and differential evolution method. We show an experimental comparison of both algorithms in this thesis.

The relationship between criminal personality and the way of commission serious crimes. Profiling with the application of geographical mapping
Buriánková, Lucie ; Boukalová, Hedvika (referee) ; Netík, Karel (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the relationship between offender's personality and the way of commission serious crimes. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first of them introduces the basic concepts and terminology with respect to the offender's personality. Attention is focused on personality disorders and on some sexual paraphilias that are the most important for forensics. The topics that relate to offender's behavior are discussed as well - motivation, modus operandi, offender's signature, and the crime scene. The second part deals with psychological and geographical profiling. Various attitudes and theories are discussed. Third and at the same time the closing part of the thesis focuses on practical applications of knowledge derived from psychological and geographical profiling in a geographical information system. Two real cases of serious crimes are analyzed. The evaluation of the findings, and of the discussed methods is presented in the discussion. The appendices are placed at the back of the thesis and involve map outputs of the geographical profiling and a vocabulary of important words.

Analysis of pension reform with the introduction of a link between the number of children and pension
Bělošický, Alexandr ; Klazar, Stanislav (advisor) ; Hartlová, Alena (referee)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of non-traditional approach to reforming the pay-as-you-go pension system by introducing a link between the number of children and the amount of pension, which is known as the Children PAYG. An analysis of the concept in general and of specific proposals for reform with its application is performed in the analytical part. Attention is also given to related topics. One of them is to assess the impact of the pension system on fertility. Further issue is to examine the costs of raising a child that are shared by parents and society as a whole. One of the main outputs of this thesis is a summary of positive and negative features of the Children PAYG concept. The concept is considered applicable in domestic conditions based on this analysis. Finally there are two recommended approaches to the Czech pension reform, the first one is based on the concept of Children PAYG with limiting the role of family policy, the second one is based on maintaining current pay-as-you-go system in a limited form of so-called flat-rate pension with strengthening the role of family policy in financing the costs of raising children.

Inflation Differentials in the European Union: Panel Data Analysis of the Driving Factors for Inflation Differentials in the New Member States
Koprnická, Kamila ; Horváth, Roman (advisor) ; Šmídková, Kateřina (referee)
In this rigorous thesis, we analyse inflation differentials in the EU. The aim of the study is twofold. First, based mainly on literature review, we describe long-term trends and potential causes of inflation differentials in the euro area as well as in the new EU member states. Second, we examine the driving factors for inflation differentials in a panel of the new European Union member states via-à-vis the euro area in 1997-2006. In particular, we use the methodology of the influential study by Honohan and Lane (2003) exploring the role of nominal effective exchange rate, cyclical conditions, fiscal policies and price convergence in inflation differentials across the euro area countries. The application of the same methodology and explanatory variables enables us direct comparison with results of Honohan and Lane (2003). Our results suggest that the given factors are important determinants of inflation differentials in the new EU member states, too. Exchange rate appreciation and a higher price level in the new EU member states are associated with a narrower inflation differential vis-à-vis the euro area, while a fiscal deficit and a positive output gap seem to contribute to a higher inflation differential. Nevertheless, the effect of price convergence on inflation differentials is found to be...

Price Calculation and its Application in the Management of a Firm
Svobodová, Soňa ; Stejskalová, Irena (advisor) ; Sysel, Jaroslav (referee)
In the MANN+HUMMEL (CZ), ltd. the general methodology for calculating the cost as the basis for the formation of prices was applied. The MANN+HUMMEL is 100% owned by the German concern MANN+HUMMEL GmbH. The main business is the manufacture of filters for all types of vehicles, internal combustion engines, compressors and others. In this work the information on a calculating model made up for the firm was compared to the basic literature. Another interesting issue is the program used by the firm for the calculation output. Further more, the impact of the method of cost calculating on the firm management was analysed. Two different types of calculation on a certain type of a product were used to contrast their economic effectiveness. On the basis of the results some modifications in the organizational structure and cost model of the company have been made.
