Comparison of the Process of Transformation of the Banking in Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic

This work aims to analyse the development of banking systems in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic which followed after the splitting from the former Czechoslovakia. The theoretical part of the work describes the initial situation that is the centrally planned economy and the central banking in Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, the research methods on the basis of which the success of transformation in both countries will be compared are stated. The practical part is devoted to banking after 1989. First, it analyses the joint office of the states between the years 1989 - 1992. Further, it compares the two banking systems in the course of 1990s according to specified criteria, up to the beginning of the new millennium when the privatization of the largest banking institutions was finalized. In the end, we managed to verify the hypothesis that the Czech banking transformation has been more successful than the Slovak one.

The causes of school immaturity

The thesis deals with the most frequent causes of school immaturity and their aspects. The theoretical part characterises and defines concepts linked with school maturity as the auditory and visual perception, kinetics, communication and mathematical imagination and the adherent problematics of the preschool period. It also focuses on the legislation pertaining the admission of the child to grammar school. The practical part analysis individual methods detecting the school immaturity. On the basis of analysing the childern work and summarisation of its results it is verifying the objectivity of the created test and also investigates the most frequent causes of school immaturity. On the basis of observation and dialogues it traces the social immaturity. The conclusion summarises findings from the individual methods and partial conclusions of the chapters.

Analysis of periodical press in the Czech Republic from the year 1989 up to the present

In its first chapter, the thesis deals with the analysis of the changes in the Czech daily and regional newspapers and magazines' owners. The second and the third chapter analyse both verbally and graphically changes in sold number of copies and reading of these periodicals in the years 1989 - 2008. Conclusions of the analyses are presented separately for selected segments of periodicals: daily newspapers, regional newspapers, women's magazines, social magazines, exclusive magazines, magazines about computers and IT, news-journalistic magazines and economic weeklies. The last chapter justifies the reached output of the analyses.

Analysis of public and private expenditure on health in selected countries of the Commonwealth

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of health financing in selected countries -- Australia, India, South Africa, Canada, Great Britain, from 1995 - 2010. The theoretical section briefly describes the health systems in selected countries. The practical section analyzes public and private expenditure on health as a source of financing of health systems in selected countries, focusing on their development and share of total health expenditure. At the end of the practical section the existence of a relationship between total expenditure on health and gross domestic product is examined based on graphic and regression analysis.

Analysis and interpretation of the personality Edvard Beneš

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse and interpret acts of the significant personality Edvard Beneš during from the era of the first republic in the first half of the twentieth century. It emphasizes on important acts of our history, in which this significant and inconsidently valuable personality took place. Furthermore it concentrates on the psychological analysis of Edvard Beneš. It describes this personality either from the point of view of his public policitical acts, or from the view of his private life. At the same time it tries to outline the mutual impact of both these important influences on his personality. Hypothesis verified in this dissertation might be used as an educational support while explaining decisions and acts of this personality, which radically influenced the development of the most important acts during in the first half of the 20th century.

The Quality in social services and its control

The new law about social services, that is effective since 1st January 2007, brought series of changes into the Czech social services system. These changes should contribute to modernizing and improving the quality of provided social services. Improving of the quality happens via implementing standards for quality in social services, that are sets of measurable and verifiable criteria. Verification of completing standards runs at the place where social services are provided and it is called quality inspection. Graduation theses analyses three runs of testing inspections, that proceeded in 2002, 2004 -- 2005, 2006 -- 2007 in the Czech Republic. Analysis evaluates the best and the worst completed standards, regional location of providers, where there the inspections were performed, and general fruitfulness of providers of social services at inspection. There are mentioned recommendations, which came out of the inspection analysis.

Possibilities of Small and Medium Enterprises internationalization

Theoretical part explains the position of internationalization among other developing processes of the World Economy. It also defines the category of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), describes the position of this segment in the Czech Republic and includes patterns of internationalization. Analytical part decomposes the decision-making process of suitable form of SME internationalization and analyses particular impacts of internationalization on firms. Practical part verifies and completes the analytical part by committing a structured interview with the CEO of W.A.G. mineral fuels, Inc.

Psychological aspects of graphical communication and information interpretation

Práce analyzuje některé problémy vizuální komunikace a interpretace vizuálních informací. Zaměřuje se na psychologické aspekty obrazového sdělení a proces jeho interpretace pozorovatelem. Nejprve definuje teoretické podklady z oblastí psychologie a některých poznatků fyziologie zraku a myšlení. Dále analyzuje obecný proces přijetí a strukturace obrazové informace kognitivní a emoční složkou našeho vnímání. Ve vytyčeném rámci pak vybírá poznatky především z oboru estetiky, které konkrétněji definují účinky různých prvků obrazového sdělení na podvědomí pozorovatele. Na skutečných příkladech jsou pak prezentovány popisované přístupy. Na závěr je zmíněn teoretický rámec sledování účinku podvědomé složky vizuálního sdělení a uvedeny některé výsledky statistik vztahujících se k problematice. Celá práce je zaměřena na možnost přímého využití v praxi podniku z pohledu jeho kvalitní vizuální prezentace a komunikace.

Technologies for visual simulation of reality, their availability and exploitation in mass media and their influence to the mainstream culture

This diploma thesis examines digital visual effects (vfx) as a technology for visual simulations of reality and its influence to the representation of contemporary Hollywood cinematography. It focuses mailnly on the exploration of narrative forms and style through the comparison of film theory research during classical and post-classical film era. First part analyzes the film as a classical medium through a conventional paradigm, which provides post-war film theory. It looks at film from an ontological perspective, asking the basic question about the relationship of film representations and reality.Then it examines film methodological analysis from a semiotics point of view, narrative theory, issues of time and space. The end of this section is devoted to the general impact of technology on cinematic style. Another section is devoted to the history of computer graphics (CG) in the film and describes methods for creating digital visual effects. It also outlines the social and economic transformation of film media under the influence of new digital technologies. Technological changes bring film into the post-classical era. Children Graphic Activities at the Beginnig of Their School Attendance

This thesis focuses on the artistic production of the children in the preschool period. The theoretical part is devoted to the development of art expression of children with special reference to the pre-school period and the period of primary school age. On the basis of scholarly literature and avaiable research findings there is development characterized in other areas (cognitive, emotional, social, etc.). Research of my practical part analyzes the art expression of selected children from kindergarten to the first classes of primary school. It observes the development of visual rendering (particularly its formal aspects) in connection with the start of compulsory school attendance.
