Preparation of New Acetylcholinesterase Reactivators with an Amidoxime Functional Group and Their In Vitro Testing
Zemek, Filip ; Opletalová, Veronika (advisor) ; Jun, Daniel (referee)
1. SUMMARY Originally organophosphorus compounds were used as pesticides. Unfortunately, their irreversible inhibition of AChE was discovered, and they were widely misused as warfare agents. Presently, there is not a reactivator good enough to reverse completely irreversible inhibition of AChE. Thus, especially for military purposes, it is very important to look for better reactivators. As the reactivators can both reactivate inhibited AChE and inhibit the intact AChE, they have also been tested as potential therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease. New modification of oxime group with -NH2 was tried for better reactivation or inhibition results compared to widely used conventional drugs. Also monoquartenary and bisquartenary modifications were tested for possible improvement in activity. Wide range of substances was synthesized, which differed in homologous unit -CH2-. Thus substances with short aliphatic side chains, with partly hydrophilic properties, and those with long chains with mainly liphophilic properties as well as bisquarternary derivatives with various linking chains between two pyridininum centers were prepared and tested. Unfortunately these modifications did not prove to have any positive effect on activity or on inhibition. Some substances have shown mild reactivation possibility or inhibited...

Kafka, Ondřej ; Macková, Alena (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
Kafka Ondřej Diplomová práce 68 ABSTRACT "Selected issues of position of the beneficiary in execution procedure" This thesis is engaged in execution proceedings, especially in procedural position of the entitled subject - beneficiary, it means in procedural relations, the party of which the beneficiary is. In kind of execution is in this thesis analysed just execution on money judgement. Whole matter is observed from the position of beneficiary, as it is foreshown in Chapter One. The main accent is put on the chosen tasks inseperably connected with the position of beneficiary, that are in common standing of executions solved very often. The reason of such kind of specialization is that within positive legal regulation in Czech Republic cannot be solicitation of debts through the execution proceedings considered as troublefree. Chapter Two briefly describes execution proceeding. More detailed despcription is devoted just to relevant differences between the execution realized by executor and per curiam. To the contrary the Chapter Three is focused directly on procedural position of beneficiary pending execution proceedings, e.i. within single stages. Statutory conditions for ordering to execution are than analyzed in closer method. Fourth Chapter deals with selected defects of execution title. Main...

Visualization as one of the factors that sell the products and services
Baumrt, Tomáš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with a subject of taking advantage of visualization during the process of product presentation. Its main aim is to find out, if visual presentation (design) of the product cover affects consumer's behaviour during the decision process of buying a particular product. If this influence is proven, a second goal is set up, namely detection of effects of chosen factors of visual presentation on consumer's decision process. Diploma thesis is divided into 6 chapters. The first introduces the topic to the reader and familiarize him with the goals and structure. Second chapter theoretically describes fundamental terms of communication, especially visual communication. The third chapter covers issues concerning the product itself and its advertisement. This chapter brings to the end theoretical part, which gathers information partly from professional literature and partly from authors' knowledge and experiences. Practical part forms the main element of the thesis. Fourth part consists of various methods for analyzing previously questioned problems in detail. Sample questionnaire examining consumer's preference is drawn up as well as graphical proposals of product design. Chapter ends up with a summary of results found out during the query survey. Results are interpreted in details in the fifth chapter, together with an attempt to draw general conclusion. Last chapter summarizes gathered information and evidence. Contribution of this work is not only to emphasize the significance of product cover and its effect on sale. Corporations or more precisely their marketing departments should realize this fact while creating marketing plan and especially advertisement plan. They should pay more attention on appearance of the product cover. Benefit further consists in processing the whole topic, with neither theoretical nor practical literature is concerned, although proven that opposite should count. Thesis tries to show the direction of further investigation, possibly followed by more complex and extensive surveys, which should bring valuable results and could be used not only by firms but also by consumers themselves.

Modernization of highway I/11 between Opava and Bruntál
Mitura, Jindřich ; Severin, Zdeněk (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The thesis in form of study discusses the possibilities of modernization of road I/11 in section between Opava and Bruntál. The need of modernization comes from fact that the road I/11 will remain in mid-term and long-term in its actual tracing and it needs to be adjusted to up-to-date requirements on road network. The thesis is based on safety inspection of road I/11 that was carried out by company Enviroad s.r.o. Proposed adjustments are divided into three stages depending on structural, economic and administrative demands. First stage introduces the least difficult adjustments that can be realized in short-term (e.g. chicanes, traffic islands, shortening of pedestrian crossings, adjustments to bus stops) and aims primary to increase road safety. Second stage presents more severe adjustments that requires greater amount of construction works but still reasonable administration level so it can be achieved in mid-term (e.g. intersection realignment, slow traffic lanes). The third stage introduces the most complex adjustments, that involves complicated administrative and construction works (all relocations of greater scale, design is based upon territorial reserves).

Spectroscopy of B[e] star FS CMa
Kříček, Radek ; Korčáková, Daniela (advisor) ; Krtička, Jiří (referee)
B[e] stars are a peculiar group of stars with forbidden emission lines in their spectra. This phenomenon is commonly ascribed as a result of a large shell around the star. FS Canis Majoris (FS CMa) became a prototype of one group of these stars because it was intensively studied in the past. However, in the case of this class of objects current theoretical models of the stellar evolution of a single star are not able to produce such huge amount of circumstellar matter, even if the stellar wind and rapid rotation are included into the calculations. We analysed and rectified some already reduced spectra obtained from 2005 to 2011 at the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Ondřejov and at SAAO observatory. Then we focused on the study of short- and long-term time variations of spectral lines in the stellar spectra, measured equivalents widths and radial velocities of the chosen spectral lines and discussed some achieved findings. Especially the short-term time variations of some spectral lines show dynamic processes of the inner star shell.
