The National Customs Relating the Liturgical Year within the Region of Ostrožsko
BROŽOVÁ, Eva
The thesis focuses on the national customs and their interrelation with the liturgical calendar. My aim is to describe and reflect on each of the customs and traditions, those still kept existing and also those these days reminded only by word of mouth within the liturgical year. The region of Ostrozsko is introduced in the first part. There are highlighted basic facts and brief history of single villages in this area. The second part of my thesis aims to define liturgics and also significant feasts of liturgical year are closely described here. Both the first and second part interrelate in the third chapter. I focus on religious aspects of the feasts, how the traditons and customs complement one another relating religion of this area. I also refer to customs which did not survive and on the other hand those that are still popular within the whole region.

Nosková, Ludmila ; Rössler, Paul (referee) ; Berglová, Eva (advisor)
The airn of this diplorna thesis is to analyze the Common European Framework oJ ReJerence Jor Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assesment (CEF) and its irnportant by-product, the European Language Portfolio (ELP). Also the current situation of foreign language teaching in the Czech Republic after the release of the abovernentioned docurnents will be dealt with. The scope ofthis thesis will be focused rnainly ofGerrnan as a foreign language and its position arnong other foreign languages taught in the Czech Republic. An analysis of chosen German language textbooks used in current language education is included. The analysis is focused on the textbooks' fulfilling the criteria of current European language policy. The explorative study included in this thesis focuses on the language teachers' awareness of the issue of CEF and ELP and their opinions on advantages and disadvantages ofthe two docurnents concerned. Using the outcorne ofthe study, we try to articulate our own suggestions on improving the CEF.

Leisure Time Activities of Students of Hight Schools
MUSILOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis refers to the free time activities of the schoolchildren attending high schools. In the theoretic part, the term of free time is identified and determinated on professional literature basis, its functions and ways of utilization. The significant character in the free time activities, in compliance with the integration to the society, contains also the organized and spontaneous children?s free time. In the practical part we get to know how the high school teenagers spend their free time in terms of organized or unorganized activities. Next, what impact do the modernizing technologies (computers, televisions) have and whether the schoolchildren are satisfied with their free time activities and if they are bored in their free time.

Settlement in criminal proceedings
Hegerová, Klára ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the settlement in criminal proceedings, one of diversions, or also alternatives to typical course and outcome of criminal proceedings. The settlement was incorporated into the Czech Criminal Procedure Code by the amendment n. 152/1995 Sb. with the effect on 1st September 1995. The settlement is an institute of criminal procedure law originating in restorative justice principles and its goal is to restore affected relationship between the defendant and the victim. Then proceedings of the settlement should not serve only to compensate the victim, as is sometimes perceived by the public, but also to clarify causes of the conflict during the active participation of both parties and to assume personal responsibility for the crime committed which may have significant effects in terms of criminal prevention. Despite the fact that the settlement is a form of diversion beneficial to the defendant (it leads to cessation of prosecution), victim (it is faster to obtain the compensation) and society (prevention from committing other crimes, relieving courts in favour of complex and serious crimes), it is rarely used in practice. In the first chapter I generally deal with the concept of diversions in criminal proceedings, their fundamental characteristics and common features...

Accelerated Neural Networks on GPU
Tomko, Martin ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the implementation of an application for artificial neural networks simulation and acceleration using a graphics processing unit. The computation and training of feedforward neural networks using the Backpropagation algorithm are the main focus of this thesis, but the application also supports other network types, and it makes it possible to extend the application with different training algorithms. Next, the application allows us to create neural networks with structural anomalies, and thus, to test the neural network's fault tolerance. The application is implemented in the C++ language, using OpenCL to manage GPU computation. The Backpropagation acceleration results were compared with the free open source library FANN.

Tool for editing PDDL projects
Chomut, Miroslav ; Plch, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dvořák, Filip (referee)
Title: Tool for editing PDDL projects Author: Miroslav Chomut Department / Institute: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: Mgr. Tomáš Plch Abstract: The Planning Domain Definition Language (PDDL) is one of standard languages used for defining planning domains and problems. PDDL is a syntactically complex language therefore developers often make syntax and semantic errors. Working with larger PDDL files is time consuming. Unlike imperative programming languages (e.g. C#, C++), there is no suitable widespread tool for editing PDDL. Our goal is to provide PDDL developers with tool for comfortable editing, which is known from tools for imperative programming languages (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio). This thesis describes our project called PDDL Studio, which is capable of a) syntax highlighting, b) context sensitive code completion, c) error detection with Interactive Error Table, d) code collapsing, e) project management, f) XML export and import features, g) planner integration and h) common editor features (e.g. Bracket Matching, Line Counter). Our tool is multiplatform and it is designed to increase efficiency of PDDL developers and code readability. Keywords: Problem Domain Definition Language, Integrated Development Environment, editor, syntax checking,...

The future of central banking in the economic system of developed countries on a basis of evalution of the experience from the last decade
Vilt, Lukáš ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
Thesis is dealing with the development of the central banking on the basis of experience from the last decade. Hypothesis is the statement, whether the central banks of the developed economies are increasingly less capable of the effective reactions on the accelerating development of the global economy and their position in the money emission and regulation of the banking sector is and will be more and more weakened by the alternative banking and monetary systems. This hypothesis is successfully disproved because of the behavior of the four chosen central banks which are CNB, FED, ECB and BoJ. The main reason was an increase in their activities and interventions causing among others multiplication of their balance sheets. On the other hand the alternative in the free banking is further from the reality than before. Virtual currencies also did not show threatening growth of the national currencies substitution in the reference period. Thesis also provides insight into new and potentially new instruments of the central banks.

Understanding sentences in Czech children at risk for dyslexia and SLI
Bláhová, Veronika ; Kucharská, Anna (advisor) ; Špačková, Klára (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the level of comprehension of czech sentences with a different syntactic complexity in children with specific language impairment (SLI) and children at family risk for dyslexia (experimental groups) compared to typically developing peers (control group). Statistically significant differences were proven both between the SLI group and the family risk group and between the SLI group and control group. The assumed descending tendency of achievement in the test blocks was not substantiated.

Semantic annotations

Four relatively separate topics are presented in the thesis. Each topic represents one particular aspect of the Information Extraction discipline. The first two topics are focused on our information extraction methods based on deep language parsing. The first topic relates to how deep language parsing was used in our extraction method in combination with manually designed extraction rules. The second topic deals with a method for automated induction of extraction rules using Inductive Logic Programming. The third topic of the thesis combines information extraction with rule based reasoning. The core of our extraction method was experimentally reimplemented using semantic web technologies, which allows saving the extraction rules in so called shareable extraction ontologies that are not dependent on the original extraction tool. The last topic of the thesis deals with document classification and fuzzy logic. We are investigating the possibility of using information obtained by information extraction techniques to document classification. Our implementation of so called Fuzzy ILP Classifier was experimentally used for the purpose of document classification.

Economic Aspects of Education at Language Schools in the Czech Republic
Dvořáková, Miroslava ; Šrédl, Karel (advisor) ; Hana, Hana (referee)
The Master´s thesis is focused on financial sources invested in education at language schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part gathers data associated with the topic and is based primarily on the specialized literature. From the characterization of linguistic companies, it is obvious that this type can be described as a non-formal type of education. According to the international classification it belongs to the post-secondary non-tertiary education. Information obtained in the theoretical part will be important for the analytical part of the thesis. The practical section describes mostly language schools, analyses their offer of linguistic classes for public in detail. Both economic and non-economic criteria will be analysed and compared. The conclusion of the thesis presents evaluation of the previous parts. It is clear that the competition in the particular market is strong, and therefore it is necessary for every company to strive for some kind of competitive advantage. Regarding the choice of a suitable linguistic course from the point of view of a student, we suggest several factors that one should consider. Generally, it has been proven that investment in any kind of education is always considered a good investment.
