Burnout Syndrome in conditions of performance-oriented society in the 21st century

The first part of this thesis is focused on the literature review that is concerned with Burnout syndrome. The work analyses the development of the burnout concept from the early start in 70th of the 20th century till present-day. It covers major topics that include the definition of the Burnout Syndrome, the difference among Burnout Syndrome and other mental states, signs, symptoms, diagnostics and phases of the Burnout Syndrome and last but least the analysis of the factors, that contribute to formation of the Burnout Syndrome. The factors are divided into two categories, the first are external and the other are internal. The second part of thesis consists of the empirical research. The research examines the difference in copying with Burnout Syndrome between the two groups, where the first group represents psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists who work with clients and the other group, that represents IT specialists, who minimally need to deal their job with people. The empirical part provides the differences between scores of these two groups in SMBM (Shirom-Melamed scale), LET (Life Engagement Test) and ICL (Interpersonal Check List). The teacher beginner. Factors leaving education

The final work deals with the personality of teachers and the basic stressors, which make their work more difficult and which can be one of the reasons of resignation. In the practical part author used the questionnaires to find the rate of the load for the beginning teachers. Furthermore the final work provides suggestions how to reduce the stress, which is unfortunately a natural part of the teaching profession, or how to prevent it. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 49 respondents. Prevention of burnout

The thesis deals with burnout syndrome as a phenomenon of our time which threatens individuals and organizations. In the theoretical part burnout is defined and its possible causes with individual and external factors are mentioned. Further the process of burnout is described and the psychosocial and physical symptoms, which indicate the syndrome, are given. Also potential consequences of burnout are discussed. Next chapter deals with factors that may act in the prevention of burnout in working life. There are both internal factors as resistance, motivation and self-management and external factors of occuupational environment mentioned. Last theoretical chapter puts knowledge of burnout in the context of leadership and human resources management. It points to the possibilities of prevention of burnout in organization, attention is paid to knowledge management, talent management and diversity management. Further the personnel activities and their impact on prevention of burnout are referred. In the end importance of personal development, education, work-life balance and spirituality in prevention of burnout are mentioned. Education of children with this sort of handicap can easily lead to syndrome of burn-out. Theoretical part characterizes problems of the syndrome of burn-out and education of the pupils who are mentally handicapped or who have the combined handicap. The Culture of OSPOD Departments and the Conditions for Coping with Workload

The bachelor's thesis " The Culture of the Child Protection Unit and the Conditions for Coping with Workload" deals with working conditions at child protection unit, describes specific characteristics of the work. The thesis determines a role of head of the department focusing its essential influence on local working environment. Using the management theory the thesis specifies fundamental tactics to create stimulating surroundings with enough support and assistance in coping with overburden - often coupled with these departments. The research summarizes examples from common situations at child protection unit into concrete statements that reflect ways of executives to build good working environment for the workers - building strong relationships, considering periodic supervisions and atmosphere of trust, encouragement and respect.
The rate of stress load on standard nursing wards and intensiv care units.

This thesis deals with the stress, strain and stress level of stress. It examines what more burdens on JIPu sisters and what the standard department, what are the specifics of their work. Compares the work load and nursing department and the standard JIPu. It looks at how the situation affects of stress nurses. It outlines the causes and manifestations of stress effects on the human organism. He is also the burnout that often occurs among workers in the helping professions. The thesis is focused on the shift operation (especially on night shift), relationships at work (sister-sister, sister-doctor), the aggressive behavior of patients, or the lack of sufficient time for patient care. Research method is a questionnaire distributed to the nurses and the internal standard surgical wards and ICU. The evaluation questions of the questionnaire confirms or overthrows the hypothesis that I set at the beginning of research. The hypotheses were confirmed hypotheses 2 and 5 of the hypothesis was not confirmed. This master's thesis is concerned with the issue of burnout syndrome. Based on the survey of professional literature, its main aim is to clarify the essence of burnout syndrome and factors leading to its occurence. It focuses on the possibilities of diagnosis, prevention and active approach leading to the elimination of burnout syndrome. The empirical part of the thesis examines how employees in a particular company dealing with fast moving goods production and sale experience burnout syndrome. On the basis of the research findings, main risk factors of burnout syndrome emergence among company's employees were identified and preventive steps leading to the elimination of its occurence.
