Porovnání jatečného zpracování drůbeže, prasat a skotu
Jílková, Jolana
The aim of this thesis was to compile and study the issue of processing meat from the arrival of the animals into slaughterhouses till cooling and storage of carcases . The thesis focuses on comparing the slaughter of poultry, pigs and cattle. I deal with a variety of procedures a slaughter animal and later its carcassed body ( JOT ) must go through before it can be storaged. It also deals with critical points and problems that can occur when bad practices are applied. The thesis also focuses on legislative requirements that are related to individual practices. At the end of the literature review the most important factor that affects the quality of meat is discussed. This is the welfare of the animals . Meat is an important component of our nutrition and is suitable for obtaining nutritional and essential substances and also a source of energy. The procedures in slaughterhouses must therefore be carefully taken into consideration to maintain both quantitative and qualitative value of meat.

Fostering in Classical Czech Foster Families and Fostering in Special Institutions for Foster Care-Big Foster Families. A Collation of These Two Forms.
WENDLIGOVÁ, Michaela
The thesis is a probe into the picture of alternative family care in the Czech Republic, oriented to the foster care. In the theoretical part a description of alternatice foster care for children removed from their biological family is given. It is concerned with vital needs of such children and their psychical deprivation. It tries to show why mothers waive their child and shows some aspects of social work in this field. The practical part of the thesis is concerned with the qualitative research that compares fostering in classical Czech foster families with fostering in special institutions {--} so called Big Foster Families. Research investigations are taken from the point of view of teenaged children being in foster care, and research is based on principles of modern (professional) fostering. The research investigations contain six interviews with children from classical families and four with children from special instituions for foster care. (The research is not concerned with SOS villages) Good quality of the foster care does not depend too much on the fact whether it is provided with a classical foster family or with a fostering institutions. It depends, first and foremost, on the character foster parent, i.e. if he/she is able to create positive relationships with the child and if he/she is able to adopt and accept the child unconditionally.

Assessment of the health hazard pertaining to the selected working conditions concerning manufacture of concrete-based products in the selected manufacturing plant
BRULÍK, Petr
In the working environment relating to the manufacture of concrete-based products there are many risk factors that may have a negative impact of the health condition of the employees. Among the most significant factors affecting the organism of every employee involved in the manufacture of concrete-based products there are in particular noise, physical strain, operating position and vibrations. Among these most significant factors, I have concentrated on noise and vibrations in the selected manufacturing plant as the plant was equipped with a new automatic machine where everything is controlled and performed by means of controls and where physical strain or unacceptable working conditions are nearly missing. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focused on the assessment of health hazard and the relating aspects concerning noise and vibrations and the effect thereof on human organism. The goal of the thesis was to formulate a hypothesis concerning the area of assessment of health hazards pertaining to the selected factors present in the working environment closely related to the working conditions attributable to the manufacture of concrete-based products in the selected manufacturing plant. Three hypotheses were formulated, the assessment of health hazards pertaining to factors relating to the working conditions concerned was performed, the works were classified into the categories prescribed by the applicable legal regulations and the precautionary measures aiming at the protection of the employees at work were proposed. The thesis was based on the application of a qualitative survey, using in particular the secondary data analysis methodology compiling study of specialist information sources, the applicable laws and by-laws and relevant reports. The values obtained by measurement were processed and subsequently compared with the sanitary limits prescribed by the applicable legal regulations. The hypotheses have been proven due to this methodology and the goals have been achieved. It has been confirmed that values exceeding limits imposed by the applicable legal regulations are present in the manufacturing plant concerned. Noise seems to be a more significant risk factor than vibrations here and the proposed precautionary measures should eliminate damage to health of the employees due to the effect of the working conditions concerned. In practice, this thesis can serve for the purpose of improvement of awareness in the area of health hazard arising from working conditions pertaining to manufacture of concrete-based products and improvement of efficiency of the precautionary measures taken.

Evaluation of quality and the renewal of surface water in the area affected by surface coal mining.
VLÁŠEK, Ondřej
The aim of the study was to evaluate the parameters of quality and renewal of surface water in the area affected by surface brown-coal mining. Selected streams were monitored on the Great pokrusnohorska dump, and streams unaffected by dumps. Values of pH, conductivity, alkalinity, oxygen saturation and temperature were measured, and quantitative and qualitative samples of macrozoobethos were taken too. The dump?s water are characterized by high concentrations of dissolved solids and alkalinity. Species diverzity of these waters is lower and is affected not only by chemical compositon of the water, but also by the character of the bottom substrate.

Specific aspects of nursing care of child with Down syndrome
BUBALOVÁ, Petra
Down syndrome also known as trisomy 21, is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of an extra 21st chromosome. It is named after John Langdon onceive about how many children born with congenital defects? The surprising factor is that for every 700 to 1000 live births is born one child with Down syndrome. In The Czech Republik were born for last years about 70 children for every year. It means one child with Down syndrom for 1500 live birth.with Down syndrome comes other differences for the care. Parents of these children have to understand the delayed development with less independent child but with the increase care. The text is developed in two parts . In the theoretical part I have been looking though the problem of Down syndrome, the history and other forms of Down syndrome as well as prenatal and postnatal diagnosis other associated diseases and the mental retardation. The second problem is the medical care of these children, the communication and timely care. The theoretical basis were taken from the implementation of my research. The empirical part of my undergraduate work has been focused on a special care of these children with Down syndrome as well as on the parents of hospitalized children and their most common problems. Other part of the research I have been looked closer to the problem of families life of these children. The obtained data I was used for qualitative research methods. The qualitative investigation has been made by semi-structured interview led with children´s mother and with medical nurses too. From the result of this research showen us in which section of Down syndrome have not any specificas for this special care. The different care for child with Down syndrom comes from comorbidities, which children often suffered but not inevitably suffer. Mental retardation is considered as a single disabiliti of these disabled children. We see very often the musle tone in this syndrome. The main problems of children´s parents were insufficiant education also from the side of the medical stuff. The essential problem mothers perceived the behavior from the medical stuff. In the end is very necessary for medical personal to know the basic special specific medical care for children with Down syndrome. The demonstration of the problem can be use as the education material not only for nurses but also for parents of these affected children as well as for public. We created the leaflet for this purpose.

Autochthonous Musculature and its effect on Scoliotic Hold
VRÁNOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of autochthonous musculature on scoliotic posture. The term autochthonous musculature means the deepest layer of back muscles situated along the spine. Autochthonous musculature is one of the components of the spine stabilization system. Together with the diaphragm, the transverse abdominal muscle and with the pelvic floor muscles it supports particularly the lumbar spine. The function of the autochthonous musculature is to set correct mutual position of two adjacent vertebrae and thus prevent the spine from incorrect loading. Its dysfunction may lead to scoliotic body posture. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical parts. The theoretical part explains the term autochthonous musculature and scoliotic posture. It also contains tests examining autochthonous musculature and selected conceptions and methods of its activation. The aim of the thesis was to elaborate case studies of patients with scoliotic body posture and to compare their condition in the input and the output examination before and after proposed and applied kinesiotherapy, to map the concrete influence of autochthonous musculature weight training on scoliotic posture of the monitored patients. Research questions were based on the aims: whether better position of the spine axis could be observed in the patients and whether autochthonous musculature weight training had positive impact on scoliotic posture. The practical part was based on qualitative research method. Data collection was performed by means of elaboration of case studies using the methods of interview, observation and kinesiological analysis. The case studies include the anamnesis taken, the input and output kinesiological analysis, a short-term therapy plan, description of the therapy course and a long-term therapy plan. The research sample consisted of four probands of different age. All the patients suffer from scoliotic body posture. The therapy lasted 10 weeks. Slight improvement of scoliotic body posture was achieved during the applied therapies by activation of the deep stabilization system of the spine, not only the autochthonous musculature. The deep stabilization system always works as a whole and activation just one of its components is impossible. This is why we cannot say that autochthonous musculature has positive influence on scoliotic posture. The results however show that the posture can be improved by activation of the deep stabilization system of the spine.

Household adaptation strategies to floods. The case study of the Bečva river basin, the Czech Republic
Duží, Barbora ; Vikhrov, Dmytro ; Stojanov, Robert ; Jakubínský, Jiří
Th is paper investigates household adaptation strategies in a region aff ected by repeated fl oods, focused on the period from 1997 to 2012. Th e main research question pay attention to the overall state of household adaptation measures and whether we can discover some progress in response to repeated fl ooding from the various sources of the Bečva river basin. Th e target area is located along the upper and middle parts of the Bečva river basin in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. Th e research was conducted during autumn and winter 2012. In the empirical part, we use a mixed methodology and case study approach. Firstly, we conducted qualitative research through in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders in the region (N=21), to serve as an initial leadup to the issue. Th en we proceeded with quantitative research by conducting door-to-door questionnaires with household residents (N=304) in risk zones in relation to fl ood occurrence, to fi nd out which factors infl uence adaptation strategies. Th e qualitative research revealed that most of the respondents were aware of the limits of regional adaptation measures that have been taken up to now. Quantitative research detected that household adaptation to repeated fl oods has slowly improved. Generally speaking, although regional bodies and households have taken some adaptation measures to fl oods, complex ways of adjusting to climate extremes remain underdeveloped.

Performance Appraisal as a Human Resource Management Tool in the Field of Agriculture
Venclová, Kateřina ; Macák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Fejfarová, Martina (referee)
Purpose: The aim of this PhD dissertation is to design a performance appraisal system as a Human Resource Management (HRM) tool for selected professions in the field of agriculture in the Czech Republic. Further objectives of the dissertation are to identify the significance of HRM and performance appraisal in the field of agriculture within generational change. A subsequent objective is to create a theoretical performance appraisal system for selected professions as a tool of HRM. Further objectives are to determine the current state of formal performance appraisal and to identify the input criteria of an appropriate performance appraisal system for the field of agriculture. Research design/methodology/approach: The research for this dissertation has been developed on the basis of a mixed methods research design, involving a sequential strategy based on quantitative and qualitative research methods. Moreover a pragmatic philosophical approach has been adopted. The quantitative and qualitative elements of the strategy adopted include study of pertinent literature, an electronic questionnaire, personal interviewing, one--dimensional and multidimensional statistical methods. Findings: A performance appraisal system for selected professions as a tool of HRM in the field of agriculture in the Czech Republic has been designed, together with possible areas for future research. The survey conducted has shown over a period of 3 years that the majority of agricultural organizations do not utilise any performance appraisal system. However, this research demonstrated the significance of a performance appraisal system in the context of the selected HRM model within generational change in the field of agriculture. The research also explored the currently used performance appraisal methods, identified appraisers and appraisees, the purposes of performance appraisal in the field of agriculture, and performance appraisal connection to the reward system. Research limitations: The random sample of agricultural organizations was not necessarily representative of the industry as a whole, because the sample taken was a purposive sample. The length and structure of the questionnaire developed for this research was not sufficient to permit the detailed identification of performance appraisal methods used and the criteria applied in the field of agriculture. In order to compensate for this limitation, personal interviewing with a random sample of informants was conducted. Originality/value: No previous research focused on performance appraisal in the field of agriculture has been conducted in the Czech Republic. The research described in this dissertation presents the first detailed description and analysis of the currently used performance appraisal system for the field of agriculture in the Czech Republic. The Author recommends that the currently used performance appraisal system should be used to extend other performance appraisal methods focused in the areas of process and input to reach higher attitude of HRM. In addition, the author highlights the importance of performance appraisal outputs in the connection to the reward system. The specific performance appraisal system proposed here may be beneficial for good management during a period of generational change. Furthermore, it may support more effective human resource management in the field of agriculture. It is hoped that this PhD dissertation may provide the basic groundwork for further research in other HRM areas and performance management.
