Internet of Things Device Based on BLE
Débef, Jakub ; Husák, Jiří (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to get familiar with the Internet of things and build devices falling into this category. The assembled device is created on a network client-server architecture and uses wireless communication interface. As the server is used minicomputer raspberry pi with Unix, client devices use an electronic platform Arduino. Created device has been tested.
Internet of Things Device Based on Bluetooth and COAP
Fuchs, Ondřej ; Husák, Jiří (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with nowadays very mentioned concept of the Internet of things. The main objective is to define the Internet of things, describe the history of the formation, basic characteristics, development, security issues and the associated risks, trends and possible use. Then describe possible technology and data transfer protocols, manufacturers of device and then outline the future of the Internet of things. Thesis also includes the design, implementation and testing of device falling into the category of Internet of Things.
Remote Management of Embedded Systems
Malina, Peter ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
Possibilities of today's embedded devices are growing rapidly. Their performance allows them to run more complex applications in Internet of Things (IoT) environments. Complex applications tend to be error-prone and require continual updates. A system that is capable of updating a multitude of remote embedded devices was designed and implemented. This system was created based on the study of existing solutions and requirements of the project BeeeOn which concerns itself with smart homes.
Intel Galileo platform usage in the Internet of Things
Semančík, Matej ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is about practical usage of Intel Galileo board in Internet of Things and it's comparison to other development platforms, communication types in IoT, sensors and sensor networks, implementation examples, proposal and implementation of testing topology.
5G Cellular Networks
Schaller, Lukáš ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Krkoš, Radko (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is mobile communication network of 5𝑡ℎ generation with focus on improvements from current 4𝑡ℎ generation. At the beginning of my work I summarized the system of 4𝑡ℎ generation mobile network EPS including description of individual parts. Next section pays attention to 5𝑡ℎ generation mobile communication network in context of network demands and future development, radio interface, network architecture or Internet of Things. Next follows solution of D2D communication especially LTE Direct and Wi-Fi Direct technologies. Here I paid attention to data agregation used in conjunction with Internet of Things enabling usage of IEEE 802.11 or IEEE 802.15.x standards. In closing part I described heterogeneous radio network and in particular mutual integration of cellular and Wi-Fi networks. In the first practical part of my bachelor’s thesis I measured parameters of Wi-Fi network during client-server communication. In the second practical part I tested data agregation of two devices using experimental network at Institute of communication.
IoT Security
Hanzlíček, Martin ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This work focuses on the problematic of the Android Wear platform security. The work solves the question of the time-consumption of calculations with big numbers, modular arithmetic and cryptography of this platform. Furthermore, solves the work the question of the communication with mobile devices and the authentication protocol client-server. The outputs of the work are three applications. The first application is suitable for Android Wear and it tests the time-consumption of particular calculations, communication with a mobile device and it also works as the issuer to the user registration and verification. The second application is for Android. The main function is the user registration and user’s authentication in cooperation with the application on the Android Wear platform and the computer application. The last application is suitable for computer and it works as the finisher of the registration and its authentication.
Smart Home Control by Utilizing AllJoyn Platform
Resler, Tomáš ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor work concerns with system Alljoyn which tries to standardize the interface for communication in the frame of intelligent house. The basic principles and the structure of the framework Alljoyn including the recent proposal of the modules Lighting framework and Gateway Agent have been described in the theoretical oriented part of the work. The practical oriented part stars with the description of the getting the Alljoyn framework including the Lighting controller and the Gateway Agent to work on the hardware router provided with operating system OpenWRT. The following parts present own testing connector for the Alljoyn Gateway which have been written to allow the remote control of the lights via cloud service Twitter. The functionality of the router have been tested with software simulator of the Alljoyn lights Luminaire and an own ligths driving program developed utilizing the experimental Lighting SDK for mobile devices with operating system Android.
Monitoring and control system
Taťák, Martin ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This thesis discusses the topic of internet of things and its protocols and compatible devices in the field of home automation. Also defines the requirements for the system which designs in the form of concept and afterward makes practical realization.
ICT trends in China and Taiwan
Kačala, Dominik ; Samec, Marek (advisor) ; Potančok, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the actual trends in the area of information and communication technologies, focusing on Far East countries with emphasis on China and Taiwan. The theoretical foundation of this work is to provide an overview of the current situation in the ICT market and its subsectors in individual countries. The specifics of countries in relation to information technology are also briefly described. The second part focuses on the actual analysis of selected ICT trends in China and Taiwan and compares specific approach to them from different angles. In the last part of the thesis conclusions and results of the analysis from the second chapter are applied in comparison with the West, USA and EU specifically and examined trends are evaluated in the global context. The contribution of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the area of selected ICT trends in the countries concerned.
