Abnormal behavior of horses
KOHOUTOVÁ, Monika
Abnormal behaviour of horses is a problematic behaviour that occurs mainly in horses domesticated or held in captivity due to the effect of incorrect breeding methods or improper handling with these animals. A part of abnormal behaviour is also stereotyped behaviour which is main target of this thesis. There are many causes of stereotyped behaviour. It could be a trauma during early weaning, lack of physical activity, an impact of nutrition, genetics and other factors. It is difficult to find out the true cause of stereotyped behaviour and it is even harder to remove these stereotypes. However the reduction of symptoms is almost always possible. The aim of the thesis was explanation, based on literature review, of the concept of stereotyped behaviour of horses, describe its symptoms, causes and suggest possible ways of removing. Another aim of the thesis was monitoring of stereotyped behaviour using a questionnaire survey within the Czech Republic. The information gathered from survey consisted of causes of stereotyped behaviour ? e.g. age, rearing, use (work, riding etc.), breed, temperament, attendance of other horses etc. The aim was not only the evaluation of occurrences of horse?s stereotyped behaviour, but with the help of gathered information in the literature review, propose the possibilities of reducing unwanted behaviour and suggest precautions in horses who do not have evident manifestations of unwanted behaviour yet.

Possibilities of the Therapeutic Use of the Singing Technique in Physiotherapy
Kopečková, Hana ; Otáhal, Stanislav (advisor) ; Šorfová, Monika (referee)
Název: Možnosti využití pěvecké techniky jako terapie ve fyzioterapii Possibilities of the Therapeutic Use of the Singing Technique in Physiotherapy Cíle práce: Poukázat na možnost využití zpěvu jako terapeutické techniky ve fyzioterapii.

Long-term monitoring of amphibian populations: methods and importance
Vargas Cáceres, Liz Mabel ; Vojar, Jiří (advisor) ; Kopecký, Oldřich (referee)
In the last decade, there has been particular concern about the apparent widespread decline of many amphibian populations. Aside anthropogenic stressors, there are large, natural fluctuations in amphibian populations that need to be established through long-term monitoring programs with sufficient spatial scale to preclude the misinterpretation of preliminary data cause y variations in natural factors. The true utility of multiple, long-term studies is an understanding of how geographic and species-specific differences affect population fluctuations. Despite the obvious importance of time series analyses in this process, they are still rare in amphibian ecology. The literary review of the main causes of amphibian population declines, dynamics of the amphibians, the meta-analysis of the available long-term publication reports of amphibian population trends available at this point in time, as well as the active involvement in field work, data-collection, and the preparation of a manuscript of 11-year monitoring of abundances of the agile frog (Rana dalmatina) are the main purposes of this bachelor thesis.

Media content analysis of the IV Congress of the Association of Czechoslovak Writers in daily newspapers and culture press
Štěpánová, Petra ; Čeňková, Jana (advisor) ; Jonáková, Anna (referee)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is media content analysis of the IVth Congress of the Association of Czechoslovak Writers, which took place in 1967. Analysed press is: daily newspapers Rudé právo ("The Red Law") and Práce ("The Work") and culture press Literární noviny ("The Literary Newspapers") and Literární listy ("The Literary Pages"). This thesis contains not only the mentions about the IVth congress of writers but also the following events as regards the writers association because it had been tightly connected to this IVth congress. The thesis tries to compare the image created by the analysed media in 1967/1968 with the historic reality. There were two main aims of this thesis. Firstly, to learn if the analysed media reported objectively about the IVth Congress of the Association of Czechoslovak Writers, secondly, to find if there is a difference as concerns the freedom of press between the years 1967 and 1968. During the analysis it became obvious that all those media published incomplete and vague news about the IVth congress until the end of the year 1967. From January 1968 on, daily newspapers were allowed to inform about the IVth congress much more objectively, but after six months and mainly in the form of comments. That is against the main characteristics of daily press - to...

Economic development of prices of gold in the world markets
Novotná, Gabriela ; Severová, Lucie (advisor) ; Spiesová, Daniela (referee)
The thesis focuses on analyses of price development of gold from 1971 to 2015. In 1971 Bretton Woods system, which set the price of one Troy ounce to 35 US dollars, collapsed. After the collapse of this monetary system the price was left to the market. The work focuses on more recent development of price of gold between the years 2005 and 2015 and tries to identify the factors influencing the price of chosen commodity. Price of gold is in US dollars for one Troy ounce which id 31,1 grams. Literature review looks at general properties of gold. Further, it sums up the history of gold as means of payment and different kinds of gold standards, which clarify how gold as currency has slowly been replaced by different substitutes, mainly inadequate coins, banknotes or wireless transfer of money. Then, the term investment gold is explained and several possible ways to invest into gold are shown. Further chapters focus on gold mining and setting of current price of gold in London. Practical part looks at supply and demand for gold, composition of supply and demand and development in time. Next part of the work is above mentioned analyses of price development focusing on years 2005 to 2015, stating real price of gold in US dollars per Troy ounce. In conclusion the most important factors influencing price of gold are described and the authors opinion about price prediction is given.

The influence of pasture system and pasture exploitation on sward structure and soil properties
ŠTAFKOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of the thesis is an influence of a grazing method and a frequency of grazing and the influence of grassland load on its composition and the soil enviroment. The basis is a literature rewiew which contains a brief outline of productive and nonproductive function of permanent grasslands, grazing systems, influence of individual livestock on grassland formation and ecological conditions influencing composition of a permanent grassland. The experimental part was performed at Carlsbad region near a village named Fojtov. The experiment includes botanical images of three different grazings, cattle, horse and sheep. At these grazings were made three observations, on the 27th of April 2012, on the 15th of June 2012 and on the 13th of September 2012. At the cattle grazing were made observations at three different growth types, at the sheep grazing were made at two different growth types considering a slope of grassland and on the horse grazing was made one observation. Obtained informations were used for calculation of species diversity indices (Simpsons and Hills) and for water regime of site. A part of the practical part was also to calculate overall grazing load for a grazing period and the grazing load for each grazing cycle.

A monitoring of cultured microflora growth in yoghurt during the shelf life
LEHEROVÁ, Hana
The object of the dissertation was the monitoring of the quantity of the yogurt culture microbes Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus salivarius subsp. thermophilus in selected yogurts after the end of the mature process and the consideration of the observed values with the requirements of the legislation. The literary search mentions the fermented dairy products and their classification, the characterization of individual types of lactic fermentation microbes and also the pure milk cultures used for the production of soured dairy products are not left out. The experimental part deals with the evaluation of microbiological analysis and the acidity of selected yogurts according to the influence of the producer and the storage life. The observed results showed, that the legislative requirement for the quantity of live microbes has been kept not only during the prescribed best-before period, but also during the complete experiment, it means also on the 56th day of the storage.

The reception of Hans Christian Andersen in Bohemia (until 1945)
Vycházely nejprve samostatně a poté v celých sbírkách. Nakonec tak zlidověly, že se používaly k soukromým...

Quality of mare's milk
VRÁNOVÁ, Vendula
Work is aimed at assessing the quality of mare´s, its composition and changes in composition during the first ten days of lactation. Very different data of the composition of milk can be found in the literature, therefore the goal was to compare the literature data and verify the possibility of monitoring the quality of colostrum and mare´s milk. The work provides an overview of the identified values of the individual components of milk compared with the indicative values obtained by analysis of two mares milk. Individual differences were clearly identified in fat content, protein, casein, lactose, urea, and the number of somatic cells in colostrum and milk during the reference period. Work demonstrates the need for detailed and extensive monitoring of milk composition
