Using Aerial Photogrammetry in Archaeology
Kuldanová, Aneta ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee) ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor)
Aneta Kuldanová: Využití letecké fotogrammetrie v archeologii Abstract The diploma thesis presents a potential of the use of aerial photogrammetry and remote sensing for documentation of areal archaeologic objects. The thesis focuses, first of all, on use of the mentioned methods at the Nazca Plate in Peru, where oblique aerial photographs of well- known geoglyphs were taken by non-metric digital camera during the Nasca international research project. The main goal of the thesis is to discover if by using such method we can document the areal archaeologic sites to reach comparable results with data taken by metric cameras. The thesis determines a processing methodics which, with use of the photographs taken by non-metric digital camera, enables to acquire not only contentual but also positional information. The vital steps necessary for securing the required result were the following: elimination of distortion, accentuation of photographs content, photographs rectification and a photoplan created with use of proper masking and mosaicking. Processing was done with the Adobe Photoshop 10.0.1., Topol xT 7.0 Raster and Distortion PM software. The thesis also solves the problems with processing the data from satellite photography that together with aerial photographs and map materials create the geographic...

Selected Software Products for Simulation Modeling and its Comparison
Láznička, Jan ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Velehradský, Petr (referee)
A thesis deals with simulation modeling. After opening theoretic information about models, discrete and continuous simulations, computer technologies for systems modeling and individual phases of simulation process, there follows a case study, which demonstrates using of three software products for simulation modeling -- SIMUL8, Simprocess and Powersim Studio. Created models, experiments with them and given results, including well-arranged tabular comparison of mentioned computer programs according to defined criteria, point out strengths and weaknesses of each software. Simultaneously, data for selection of an appropriate program are presented, depending on a sphere type, which is simulation modeling to be applied on.

Data backup and archivation
Hrubeš, Jan ; Jandoš, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Čech, Milan (referee)
With increasing amount of data, standards for storing and security became more important theme. Potential losing of data may be irretrievable loss for a given subject and may cause disaster. From that reason, there is an aim of the work, to offer brief summary of nowadays possibilities of data securing and backuping in a company or at home conditions. Work is focused on data description and clasification, as a base security required object. Following parts of my work describe view of available technologies (Harware and Software) and generalized process of choosing suitable technology, applicable for particular system. Benefit of my work consists in systematic summary of present data backuping and archiving and in creating general method for choosing the right technologi for backup.

Archiving of digital photos and SW testing
Lubojacký, Roman ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Žid, Norbert (referee)
With growing number of digital photos, there are also growing problems with archiving. The aim of the work is to create a compact review about possibilities of archiving and along with it to test and choose the most proper application software for its administration. The first part of the work is focused on chosen technologies, which are used in archiving. The second part of the work is dealing with testing and comparing three programs for administration of photos, based on chosen criterias. Benefit of the work is in summarizing problems of archiving digital photos with ranking of the most proper possibilities.

Analýza finanční pomoci Afghánistánu
SIDDIQUI, Ajmal
This thesis is focused on foreign aid and its effect on the life of the public from 2002 until 2012 in Afghanistan. The aims of this thesis were to show the relationships among variables and the dependence on Foreign Aid at the National level and Provincial level, and, also, to show whether or not foreign aid has helped the public to increase their general living standards. The thesis looked at the ten top provinces that received the highest amount of aid and analysis was made to show the relationships between Foreign Aid verses the Number of Doctors in public Hospitals, the Amount of Transportation Money and the Number of Public and Private universities in the following provinces: Balkh, Ghazni, Heart, Helmand, Kabul, Kandahar, Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktika and Paktya. This bachelor thesis was divided into separated parts. The first part describes the theoretical background and way of gaining necessary information and also explains the most important words, which are important for understanding the whole concept of the thesis. It includes historical information about foreign aid, political information and economical information about the country. The second part defines the methodology of this thesis, which is the quantitative research method and explains the methods which were used in the practical part. The last part of this thesis describes the practical part,, which is the analysis of simple linear regression and normality test done in the STATSITCA software by using the data provided and the models were interpreted to give the final result of the thesis. It can be concluded, after analysis and interpretation of the models, that three of the models have sense and the fourth one doesn't have sense. The three models with sense show that the Number of Doctors in Public Hospitals and the Number of Public and Private universities have a strong relationship with Foreign Aid. This means that, from 2002 until 2012, foreign aid helped and improved the life of the public on a national level and a provincial level and increased their general living standards. The fourth model is the Amount of Transportation Money and it can be seen quite clearly that it has a weak relationship with Foreign aid. This means that, from 2002 until 2012, foreign aid was not so effective in this sector due to the identified reasons of: security challenges, corruption in the government offices and sub-contracting the projects. Overall, it can be said that foreign aid was clearly a major driving force in the improvement of the lives of the general public in Afghanistan.

The Roof Structure of a Multipurpose Sport Building
Malchárek, Robert ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
The subject of the Diploma thesis is a design wooden structures of a multipurpose sport building in Šumperk. The floor plan measurements of the building are 45,0 x 48,0 m with the maximum height 15,0 m. The solution is choosen on the basis of two variants. The structures is designed with respect to ultimate and serviceability limit states. The multipurpose sport building is consist of 13 main truss centre to centre spacing 4,0m. The main structural system is design as the three-hinged arched structure made of solid timber and in the second variant as the arched structure made of glue laminated timber. The spatial rigidity of the structure is secured of diagonal bracing. The roofing is carried by rafter which are safed by purlin and then by upper chord. The steel columns are design as a part of gable wall. The project was carried out in the scia Engineer 2014 software. Some of the particular elements both variants were checked and designed by manualy calculating. The thesis includes structural design report, joints structures, drawings and production drawing the element of the three-hinged arched structure.

Geopolitical aspects of Georgian NATO membership : Analysis of Georgian readiness and NATO's strategic interests
Kufčák, Jakub ; Weiss, Tomáš (advisor) ; Aslan, Emil (referee)
This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of Georgian NATO membership and its strategic and geopolitical importance for NATO between 2003 and 2008. This thesis focuses in the first place on the question to what extend did Georgia fulfil Alliance's membership requirements. The aim of this section is to demonstrate that the reasoning behind NATO's refusal to award Georgia with Membership Action Plan cannot be objectively justified by Georgia's failure to meet the criteria but is to be derived from the lack of Alliance's political consensus regarding the importance of Georgia. Second part of this thesis analyse the importance of Georgia from the NATO's strategic and geopolitical interests. From this point of view is important Georgia's role in energetic infrastructure to which it is destined by its geographical location on east-west energetic corridor which transports Caspian fossil fuels to western markets. The importance of Georgia in this aspect depends on the significance that NATO attributes to its energetic security. Subsequent analysis of benefits provided by Georgia's strategic position to the Alliance's primary missions concludes that Georgia's territory enhances Alliance's power projection because it is the best route to deploy military planes to afghan theatre. Second factor that enhanced...
