Kubricht, Jiří ; Oehm, Jaroslav (referee) ; Eichlerová, Kateřina (advisor)
DUE DISCHARGE OF LEGAL DUTIES OF A MEMBER OF A SUPERVISORY BOARD IN PRIVATE AND PUBLIC COMPANIES Resumé This master's degree thesis aims to describe what duties members of supervisory board have and what it means to discharge those duties properly. Special attention is paid to duty of care, which I consider to be the duty of highest importance and so it forms roughly half of my thesis. The reason why I chose this type of topic is my special interest in law of corporations, especially the part of it that regulates the relations between company and shareholders on one side and directors on the other. It is also known as corporate governance. The thesis starts with introduction, which is followed by six chapters. The thesis then ends with summary that briefly describes the all main conclusions I arrived at. The introduction explains why area of corporate governance is so important and why special attention should be paid to it. It also discusses why the focus of the work is on public companies limited by shares and not private companies. Chapter one then describes what it means for a member of a board to generally act with duty of care. It covers most important aspects of this duty and also examines different types of real-life situations and what type of behavior would fulfill the requirements of duty of care...

Comparison of QT dispersion and heart rate turbulence
Havránek, Štěpán ; Kittnar, Otomar (advisor) ; Horký, Karel (referee) ; Slavíková, Jana (referee)
Introduction: Both QT dispersion (QTD) and heart rate turbulence (HRT) were studied and tested like potential noninvasive markers for risk stratification. Aims: Compare QTD between different groups of patients with expected different mechanism of developing changes in QTD. Investigate if HRT is present following ventricular train drives and depends on left ventricular dysfunction. Test the hypothesis that QTD and HRT parameters assessed during programmed ventricular stimulation correlated to each other and there is association with iducibility of ventricular arrhythmia. Methods: We analysed body surface potential mapping (BSPM) recordings and vectorcardiographic T-loop parameters (T-loop width - Tw and T-loop amplitude - Ta) in 37 healthy women (20 - 36 yrs) in the 36th to 40th week of physiological pregnancy and 2 to 6 days after delivery. Control group contained 18 healthy women. Then we analysed BSPM recordings from 27 psychiatric outpatients treated with prophylactic doses of dosulepin (20 women, 44 ± 13 yrs) and compared to those obtained from 37 healthy volunteers. From these recordings the QTD was evaluated. This parameter was estimated using both BSPM recordings and 12 lead standard ECG. Acquired data were statistically correlated with Tw or Ta and dosulepin plasma levels, respectively. Distribution...

Verbs in the textbooks of Italian language with a focus on indicative tenses
Prokopiusová, Jana ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Štichauer, Pavel (advisor)
The main impulse for this thesis work, called Verbs in the Textbooks of Italian Language with a Focus on Indicative Tenses, were some findings and conclusions made by renowned Italian linguists who specialise in the field of second language acquisition. The problem in its general aspects is summarized in the first part of the work: I outline briefly various aspects of language acquisition, the process of acquisition in Italian language, and then I am reflecting on the practical usage of this issue. The largest space is devoted to individual stages of acquisition of verbal tenses in indicative, which is the main focus of the thesis. According to the selected and quoted studies, it is possible to determine certain chronology of grammar tenses acquisition generally applicable when studying a foreign language. The order should preferably be: present tense (presente) - passato prossimo - past imperfect (imperfetto) - future tense (futuro) - (passato remoto). After describing these tenses, their functions and usage based on various Italian grammar books, I concentrated on how these tenses are described and explained in selected study books for students of Italian. My main interest was to map up to which extent these books are in concordance with the mentioned natural chronology of grammar acquisition. The result...

Nestávalová, Hana ; Housarová, Blanka (advisor) ; Štěpáníková, Alena (referee)
In spite of increasing interest at the problematic of memory, the field of memory and logopedia is "tabula rasa". Therefore I try to describe general view of memory at adult people with impaired communication ability in my paper "Memory achievement at adult people with impaired communication ability" . The aim of this work is to map memory function of these people with memory test made by myself. This test is focused on adult people with impaired communication ability and also on healthy adult people which work as a control sample. I also presume that thist test can fill up a blank in test materials for speech therapist and also work as a material for training. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Dušánková, Erika ; Hrachovinová, Tamara (referee) ; Preiss, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this study is to summarize a research on cognitive functions and depressive disorder with focus on the remission period and to map, on this background, using a longitudinal design, changes in cognitive performance of the depressive patients during the course of mood improvement until the remission period. We set together a test battery consisting of two cognitive functions measures (AVLT, Letter-number sequencing), two mood rating instruments (BDI, MADRS) and two additional questionnaires (Unfavourable-events questionnaire and Social support Survey - MOS). We included an interview, as well. The research took place in Prague psychiatric centre. The sample consisted of 10 inpatients with unipolar depressive disorder according to ICD-10. 4 of the patients were excluded - 2 of them for deeper mood impairment and other 2 for early discharge from the clinic. Only 2 of the remaining 6 patients achieved remission. We present their case studies in this thesis. The conclusion of this study is that the image of cognitive performance in depressed patients can be various. All patients experienced subjective cognitive performance impairment and work ability impairment. We didn't observe, in some of the patients, cognitive performance impairment in the neuropsychological measures used. When cognitive impairment...
