Political Marketing in the Czech Republic: Possibilities, Tools, Optimalization and Budgets
Šťastný, Tomáš ; Just, Petr (advisor) ; Kubátová, Hana (referee)
This thesis is devoted to the election and political marketing topics. I analysed different types of political marketing tools and guerilla marketing tools. Guerilla marketing is a special marketing form suitable for some campaign situations. Moreover we can use it for campaign optimization. This optimization is the core of this topic. It is important to find the best tools, with the lowest expenses for our preferred voters. In addition to that, I introduced several kinds of campaign tactics useable in the Czech politics. There are also election campaign proposed budgets for different types of the Czech elections.

Sensoric assessment of the durable meat product depending on the production technology.
TÁBOR, Rudolf
This diploma thesis deals with sensoric analysis of the selected types of durable meat products depending on the production technology. By sensoric assessment and subsequent statistic analysis, this diploma thesis pursues to compare fermented durable meat products, made without added starting cultures, with fermented durable meat products, made with added starting cultures, and to determine which of these kinds of products are preferred by the evaluators as well as the consumers. The theoretical part of this thesis summarises the conclusions arising from the sensoric analysis of the food, including its conditions and statistical evaluation, sense perception generally and the technology of the production of fermented durable meat products. In the practical part, the applied method and results of the performed twin preference test are described. Samples of the durable meat products of the major domestic producer of the durable meat products, commonly distributed and accessible in the trade network of the Czech Republic, were used for the purpose of evaluation.

Extreme Value Theory in Operational Risk Management
Vojtěch, Jan ; Kahounová, Jana (advisor) ; Řezanková, Hana (referee) ; Orsáková, Martina (referee)
Currently, financial institutions are supposed to analyze and quantify a new type of banking risk, known as operational risk. Financial institutions are exposed to this risk in their everyday activities. The main objective of this work is to construct an acceptable statistical model of capital requirement computation. Such a model must respect specificity of losses arising from operational risk events. The fundamental task is represented by searching for a suitable distribution, which describes the probabilistic behavior of losses arising from this type of risk. There is a strong utilization of the Pickands-Balkema-de Haan theorem used in extreme value theory. Roughly speaking, distribution of a random variable exceeding a given high threshold, converges in distribution to generalized Pareto distribution. The theorem is subsequently used in estimating the high percentile from a simulated distribution. The simulated distribution is considered to be a compound model for the aggregate loss random variable. It is constructed as a combination of frequency distribution for the number of losses random variable and the so-called severity distribution for individual loss random variable. The proposed model is then used to estimate a fi -nal quantile, which represents a searched amount of capital requirement. This capital requirement is constituted as the amount of funds the bank is supposed to retain, in order to make up for the projected lack of funds. There is a given probability the capital charge will be exceeded, which is commonly quite small. Although a combination of some frequency distribution and some severity distribution is the common way to deal with the described problem, the final application is often considered to be problematic. Generally, there are some combinations for severity distribution of two or three, for instance, lognormal distributions with different location and scale parameters. Models like these usually do not have any theoretical background and in particular, the connecting of distribution functions has not been conducted in the proper way. In this work, we will deal with both problems. In addition, there is a derivation of maximum likelihood estimates of lognormal distribution for which hold F_LN(u) = p, where u and p is given. The results achieved can be used in the everyday practices of financial institutions for operational risks quantification. In addition, they can be used for the analysis of a variety of sample data with so-called heavy tails, where standard distributions do not offer any help. As an integral part of this work, a CD with source code of each function used in the model is included. All of these functions were created in statistical programming language, in S-PLUS software. In the fourth annex, there is the complete description of each function and its purpose and general syntax for a possible usage in solving different kinds of problems.

Pre-marital and marital agreement as a means of protection of marital property and business
Kucbelová, Lucia ; Hejda, Jan (advisor) ; Novotná, Eliška (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with pre-marital and marital agreement in connection with the common possessions of spouses and business. The first chapter is focused on terms related to ownership and for better explanation the terms are applied on practical examples that can occur in real life. The following chapters deal with the content of pre-marital and marital agreement, the manner in which the agreement can protect possessions in case of debts and business, and also explain forms of business and their influence on common possessions of spouses. The sixth chapter contains the analysis of the recognition and modification of the pre-marital and marital agreement by the legislation of the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and Austria. The seventh chapter focuses on the questionnaire and its evaluation. The aim of this survey was to determinate the knowledge of students at the third year of study at the Faculty of Management about the conclusion of pre-marital and marital agreement, their opinions, recommendations and their own involvement in this kind of contracts. The end of my Bachelor thesis summarizes its content and it is based on the knowledge resulted from the analysis of pre-marital/ marital agreement modification in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria and on their subsequent comparison, my own recommendations and findings arising from the questionnaire. In conclusion, there is prepared the pre-martial agreement itself.

Sport, Corruption and Human Rights: the Case of FIFA
Shropshire, Kylea ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Vymětal, Petr (referee)
This master thesis dissertation analyzes what kind of humanitarian issues can arise when international sporting events, such as the World Cup, are connected with powerful, global sporting organizations such as FIFA. It asks whether or not FIFA takes into consideration the positive and negative consequences that such an event might have on human rights? Or if FIFA chooses to ignore these rights in preference of organizational gain? For my investigation I decided to choose FIFA because it is one of the most important sports organizations in the world and wields a great deal of power thanks to its corporate partners and football's worldwide appeal. My hypothesis is simple: Decisions made by FIFA are heavily influenced by endemic corruption throughout the organization that does not prioritize citizen rights or human rights development more generally.

Properties of sigma-porous sets
Rmoutil, Martin ; Zajíček, Luděk (advisor) ; Zelený, Miroslav (referee)
In the present thesis we prove several new results concerning -porous sets. In the first two chapters we examine some properties of related sets in the space R while in the third chapter we concentrate on an entirely different problem formulated in the setting of topologically complete metric spaces. To be more specific, in the first chapter we prove non- -porosity of the set Ad of all real numbers x (0, 1) with decimal expansion containing the number 9 with density d. In spite of being relatively difficult, this new result has little importance in itself. It merely answers a natural question which arises from an article of L. Zajíček [8]. The main result presented in the second chapter is a significant improve- ment of the following result of R.J. Najáres and L. Zajíček from the article [5]: There exists a closed set F R which is right porous, but is not -left porous. Thus for any kind of "upper" porosity (i.e. a porosity defined using limsup) it is now even more unlikely for any connection between "left" and "right" to be discovered. From another work [10] of L. Zajíček arises the following question: If A X and B Y are two non- -lower porous G -subsets of topologically complete metric spaces X and Y , is it necessarily true that the Cartesian product A × B is also non- -lower porous? The article [10]...

Physically Handicapped People in Wheelchairs and Their View of Physical and Psychological Barriers
HANTOVÁ, Jitka
The work is devoted to disabled people who are confined to wheelchairs. It focuses primarily on the barriers which these people face, and that are in their view the most problematic. The theoretical part focuses on two kinds of barriers ? physical and psychological barriers. The practical part then evaluates the carried research based on the interviews with the clients of 1. Centre for the Disabled in South Bohemia in České Budějovice and other people moving in a wheelchair from vicinity. The center provides its clients the opportunity to exercise and improve their physical condition, as it works as a fitness centre fully adapted for disabled people.

Dangerous of imported plague caused by Neisseria meningitidis
VLASOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor thesis called {\clq}qDanger of an imported plague caused by Neisseria meningitidis`` deals with a danger resulting from an import of the highly contagious plague caused by this bacteria. The genus of Neisseria commonly occurs in the human body as a natural population of the oropharynx. Only two kinds of it are pathogenic for humans and one of them is Neisseria meningitidis. It causes Meningococcal meningitis, which is a disease of the central nervous system and it is characterized by meningitis. This illness occurs only sporadically in the Czech Republic, although there were several epidemics. Worldwide an incidence of meningitis varies according to the hygiene and health conditions of the area. Currently the highest rate of infected people has been reported from countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, where the incidence varies between endemic and epidemic. With the increasing trend in travel to foreign countries, which were unavailable until recently, there appear new risks associated with the occurrence of highly contagious diseases. Sub-Saharan Africa is undoubtedly one of those areas, that is why travellers should consider possible travel vaccinations. Today it is possible a vaccination against all the most common types except type B meningitis. The aim of this work is to cultivate Neisseria meningitidis, to determine the sensitivity to appropriate antibiotics and to state whether a sufficient number of the antibiotics is available in case of a spread of Meningococcal meningitis. Then there will be described, in the presented bachelor thesis, a process of the Integrated Rescue System in a co-operation with the regional Public Health Watch and other Public health authorities to stop the spread of meningococcal meningitis.

Dependence on amphetamins and its treatment
Havlíčková, Tereza ; Melicharová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Vopršalová, Marie (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Tereza Havlíčková Supervisor: PharmDr. Ludmila Melicharová Title of diploma thesis: Dependence on amphetamins and its treatment Addiction to amphetamins, in our country mostly to methamphetamin, is really widespread and it complicates life to many people. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to summarize problems of addiction to amphetamins and to give an idea about possible ways of therapy of this addiction. At the end of this work is pointed out the new danger at the drug trade. This danger is mainly represented by new synthetic drugs which are frequently derivatives of amphetamins. There are many of substances of this kind but there are minimum information about their effects and toxicology. It is obvious that dependence on amphetamins still remains a big problem in society in the future.
