Contributions and Risks of Foster Care
Kašová, Lucie ; Sivek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Nejedlá, Dana (referee)
My Bachelor's thesis work discusses foster care which still in the Czech Republic has not legal statue, although in some children orphanages it is supported at some level. The goal of the thesis concentrated on the advantages and disadvantages of foster care as well as the possible exact explanations of such benefits and hazards, the emphasis of factors and methods and most importantly how to minimize risks and increase the benefits of foster care. The contents of this work focus on theoretic, which deals with the progression and socialization of children and different kinds of care in children orphanages. In the chapter which deals with foster care I try to explain possible risks and benefits and whether the care is supported in the orphanages. In the practical section I used case reports, new consultations with professionals and internet discussions. From these case studies I chose congruent advantages and disadvantage, which are more clearly described in the following chapter, which also offer minimallization and even support. In conclusion, the work shows that I was able, at least partially, to evaluate foster care and its advantages and disadvantages. Foster care is an indisputable benefit to children even though it carries a certain level of risks. These risks could be lowered with a properly chosen...

Somatomotor and somatosensory modulation of pain in the EEG and fMR image
Vrána, Jiří ; Stančák, Andrej (advisor) ; Vymazal, Josef (referee) ; Jech, Robert (referee) ; Hájek, Milan (referee)
Pain processing is modulated at different levels of the central nervous system by concurrent sensory and motor processes. From previous studies with innocuous somatosensory evoked potentials we know of the phenomenon of gating by movement. The classical explanation [Melzack R, Wall PD. Pain mechanisms: a new theory. Science 1965;150(699):971-979.] of the mechanism of gating in the posterior horn of spinal cord is complemented by other, lesser understood data, suggesting supraspinal mechanisms. A similar lack of understanding of the cortical mechanisms is seen in pain modulating methods using concurrent electrical nerve stimulation. This work is intended to further our understanding of the cortical mechanisms of pain modulation in the specific cases of (a) isometric muscle contraction of the right or left hand during painful electrical intraepidermal stimulation of the right index finger and (b) during observation of the acute effects of concurrent innocuous median nerve stimulation on painful tonic thermal stimulation of the thenar eminence.

Hydrokinesiotherapy
Lukešová, Eva ; Vacek, Jan (advisor)
In this work I tried to summarize all the possible ways how we could take advantage of hydrokineziotherapy and implement it into different levels of prophylactic procedures in health care. It is based upon the knowledge of locomotion itself and its control mechanisms on one hand and the physical characteristics of water on the other. Very interesting is the comparison of movement on shore with the movement in water in relation to control mechanisms of movement. To help to compare those two adequately there is also an explanation of how the body and mind gets used to being in water enviroment. This is connected to the movement automatisms that the brain has got and uses in everyday life. These automatisms in order to master the movement in water precisely have to be rearranged and adjusted. In the chapter that deals with the different types of exercise I concentrated on the most common types of gymnastic hydrokinesiotherapeutic exercises with the slight accent on swimming and pasive relaxation which creates bases for the next chapter. This chapter which is also the last explains how different methodics and programs can bu put into practice. Final part brings forvard some examples of health problems where those exercises can become a part of primary, secondary or tertiary prophylactic procedures. It also...

Google+ implementation in order to improve communication effectivity within workgroup
Peter, Martin ; Böhmová, Lucie (advisor) ; Sova, Martin (referee)
Diploma thesis is focused on electronic social networks and implementation of these networks inside a work association from information technology industry. The thesis is divided into two main parts which systematically follow each other. In theoretical part the chosen online social networks are described with highlights of possible usage in professional association. Also the usage of these networks in Czech Republic is compared and analyzed. Next in line are shown current standards in business communication and these are then softly connected to an explanation, why some kind of electronic social networks should be used in a company, regarding the law. The applying part describes the researched professional association and analyses problematic situation which is solved in this writing. Using the Multiple-criteria decision-making method an electronic social network which suits best is picked for usage in researched association and then implemented in real life. Data collected after implementation from user feedback is used to cast a résumé, whether the process went well or not, and the lasting result on communication effectivity from both management and employee views. Based on the result mentioned above, a bonus set of advices and possible innovations which the association should obey when using implemented electronic social network is included.

Generation of the Mathematical Excercises for High Schools and Elementary Schools
Janečka, Jan ; Straka, Martin (referee) ; Kaštil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is considering genetic algorithms as a~means for generating math exam exercises for elementary and high schools. There are two kinds of exercises implemented: linear equations with variable in numerator and verbal rider about movement. Each of of these exercises offer several options to tune. Output generated by this implementation consists of two pdf files - one with plain exercises and one with solutions to each one of them.

Deaf signs
Vysuček, Petr ; Vaňková, Irena (referee) ; Macurová, Alena (advisor)
This dissertation addresses a special group of signs in Czech Sign Language - we call them Specific Signs. There are total of 90 of them being introduced and analyzed in this paper. The larger part of the Specific Signs is divided into 17 categories. In each category there are signs similar in meaning and therefore often misused in the context by non-native signers. An 18th category contains signs which have the same manual components but have different oral components. Another 39 signs are analyzed individually, they are not part of any category. Each Specific Sign has a sequence number and there is a photo documentation showing what the sign looks like (the movement, the process of sign and the type of oral component). Furthermore, for each sign there is a written explanation of its manual and non-manual component, an approximation of its general meaning and the most frequent translation. The use of the sign is shown in examples from commonly signed conversations. These examples are translated into written Czech and the sign order, used in the signed sentence, is listed as well.

War on poverty and/or Vietnam war? Question of USA budget priority in second half of 1960´s
Černík, Jaroslav ; Johnson, Zdenka (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with influence of the Vietnam War on the economy and the federal budgets of the USA with an emphasis on possible effects of this conflict on the continuing War on Poverty declared by the President Lyndon Baines Johnson. The thesis examines changes in expenditures of the federal budget. Their development in the period 1964 -- 1969 indicates that the Vietnam conflict was not a major influence on the failure of Johnson's social programs fighting poverty. The thesis implies that one possible explanation of the failure might be found in Johnson's choice of both ineffective way of dealing with the phenomenon of poverty and in a way of acquiring funds for his social programs, which led to increasing distrust of him and his social policy.

Available financial resources of the company and its evaluation while investing at commodity markets
TRNKA, Jan
The goal of this thesis was to evaluate the trading strategies during the trading in the commodity market. Firstly, this work was focused on providing some basic information about the topic and explanation of several terms which are very important for understanding the whole concept. It should give definitions of words like commodity, financial market or stock exchange. The second part of my bachelor's work describes a technical analysis. Its origin, substance and principles, following by some facts about technical indicators. The third and final part includes a brief introduction of commodities which was chosen by me. Also it contains two simple trade models and mainly an application of selected technical indicators for selected commodities. There were three commodities crude oil Brent, natural gas and heating oil. Also three technical indicators Relative Strength Index, Commodity Channel Index and Sto-chastic. These indicators were used to evaluate results of trading during the years 2010 and the first half of 2013. The objective of this thesis was to find out the result of each trading strategies. There were some intermediate gains but none of these technical indicators ended with a profit.

Invasive monitoring in intensive care
CUPER, Tomáš
Invasive monitoring is a repetitive, durative observation of physiological functions of a patient and functioning of apparatuses which serve as support of these functions. It is thus an active, repetitive and continuous process when both the patient and the medical apparatuses are regarded. The human factor is thus essential and vital. The reason for application of the invasive monitoring during an intensive hospital care is above all the ability to support physiological functions of a patient, at the same time, it serves to timely detect divergences in physiological values; it very often effectively helps in further decision-making of medical interventions, and clarifies the effectiveness of patient´s treatment. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with the issue of invasive monitoring in intensive hospital care. The beginning of the thesis provides an explanation what actually the invasive monitoring means, and clarifies and characterises intensive medicine and monitoring in general. The individual types of invasive monitoring are divided according to areas of basic living functions in cardiovascular, respiratory, and central nervous system. With every type of invasive monitoring comes an explanation and clarification of it, further, generally indicated and contraindicated statuses are provided, along with instruments and the way monitoring is applied. The theoretical part is concluded by a chapter that deals with general nursing care. The practical part focuses on mapping of the most often used types of invasive monitoring given critically ill patients in Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation wards, and Urgent Admittance wards in hospitals of the area of South Bohemia, and the region of Carlsbad, and mapping of knowledge of staff of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation and Urgent Admittance in the particular regions given invasive monitoring. The research was implemented by a quantitative method using a printed standardised questionnaire. The amount of data was collected in March 2014. The target group of the research was a team of general nurses and paramedics, who work in Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation wards and Urgent Admittance wards. The anonymous questionnaire was handed out 100 exemplars for hospitals in South Bohemia, and 100 exemplars for hospitals in the region of Carlsbad. In South Bohemia, there were picked the hospitals in České Budějovice, Jindřichův Hradec, Písek, Prachatice, and Tábor, there. In the region of Carlsbad, there were picked the hospitals in Cheb, Carlsbad, and Sokolov, there, to fill in the questionnaire. There took part 141 respondents in the research. The total amount of responses out of 200 exemplars (100%) of the questionnaire thus reached 70, 5%. The questionnaire contained the total of 28 questions, out of which the opening 4 were stratification-like, question nr. 5 was closed, question nr. 6 were half-open and the remaining 22 questions were dealing with knowledge of respondents in the issue of invasive monitoring in intensive care. The results were progressed by the statistic programme SPSS into well arranged tables, and the set hypotheses were statistically evaluated with help of X2 square test. The goal of this bachelor thesis was to map the most often used types of invasive monitoring with critically ill patients in Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation wards, and Urgent Admittance wards in hospitals of South Bohemia, and in region of Carlsbad. This goal was fulfilled. The next goal was to map knowledge of invasive monitoring given staff of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation wards, and Urgent Admittance wards in hospitals of South Bohemia, and in region of Carlsbad. This goal was fulfilled too. Statistically evaluated questionnaire proved that the workers have the knowledge in the area of treatment, hemodynamic values, as well as techniques in taking care of critically ill patients in Intensive Care wards.
