DETERMINANTS OF THE SHARING ECONOMY EMERGANCE; AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY
Dahy, Adham Mohamed Wahied ; Miklánek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Prokop, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis explores the emergence of the newest type of economy the sharing economy one of the fastest growing economic phenomena in contemporary times. This thesis cites numerous research papers that encompass the sharing economy alongside other papers in different fields such as marketing and experimental economics. The main goal of this thesis is to disentangle possible channels that may have led to the increase in use of the sharing economy-provided services. To do so, we conducted an experiment using tools provided by the field of experimental economics. In the theoretical part of this thesis the main aim was to broadly explain what the sharing economy is as well as introduce the concepts to be used in the practical part. At the beginning I focus on defining the sharing-economy concept including its many definitions when it first appeared and the three phases that account for its emergence. I then explain the sharing economy concept providing the reason it is gaining worldwide recognition as well the main enablers behind it major companies involved with it the three main systems operating within it and the economics behind it. Finally I explain the many angles associated with its success, such as the concepts of Web 2.0 and P2P. Towards the end of the theoretical part I introduce the concepts that are relevant to the practical part and the experiment including risk-preferences information cascades and peerpressure. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the experiment including methodology designs treatments results etc. In the practical I present the hypothesis and the econometric model used for running the regression in order to test my hypothesis. Lastly I present the outputs I have obtained after running the regression, and comment on their significance and relevance to my hypothesis.

Influence of local woody species coverage on herb vegetation on a small spatial scale
Kubát, Miloš ; Vojta, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Roleček, Jan (referee)
English abstract This work aims on influence of local coverage of woody layer on understorey herbs. Expansion of woody species into semi-natural grassland ecosystems is accompanied by increase of local coverage of woody layer. This process leads to changes of environmental conditions in understorey, that is followed by extinction of heliophillous herb species. This works deals with this phenomenon on a small spatial scale. The research took place near former village Tocov, situated in an abandoned landscape in Doupovské hory. This locality is typical example of woody species expansion into species rich grassland. Here, 399 phytocoenological relevés were collected. These relevés are ordered into triplets, that make triangles. There are local coverage of woody layer measured for each relevé. Impact of this variable was tested in two sizes of the observation window. Single relevés present microsites, while whole triplets present sites, where variability of local covarage of woody layer, leading to variability in herb layer, could be distinguished. Number of herb species is linearly negatively correlated with local coverage of woody layer on a smaller scale of single relevés. In whole triplets, increase of local coverage of woody layer, during early stages of woody species expansion, doesn't lead to decrease of...

Vocelová, Anna ; Reichel, Jiří (referee) ; Šnýdrová, Ivana (advisor)
The diploma thesis "Upbringing and teaching of persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorders" deals not only with diagnostics of individual autistic disorders, but also with pedagogical and educational approaches, integrating of autistic persons into the normal society, possibility to use their abilities etc. The Autistic Spectrum Disorders include Autism, Atypical Autism, Asperger syndrome, Rett syndrome and childhood disintegrative disorder. All these are among pervasive developmental disorders that typically appear within the first three years of life. the early examination is very important, otherwise the child can be misdiagnosed as mentally retard. Scientific studies showed, that many individuals with autism are not retarded, but in fact, they are unable to give their answers accurately for the determination of their iq in some intelligence tests. Autistic children and adults typically have difficulties in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities. Relevant behavioral or cognitive intervention can help children gain get self-care, social, and communication skills. Only few people with autism live independently after reaching adulthood, however, but some of them become successful and they are relatively highfunctioning. However, many people with this diagnosis...

The main goal of this essay called "Obesity in childhood" deals with introduction into this relevant question. The main part will concentrate on the obesity above child and adolescent population. This essay should give the basic global information about the problem, possible accesses of therapy and today critical state of the theme too. One chapter of this study will deals with meaning of breastfeeding. The next part of thesis will be about the development of individual's lifestyle and boarding behaviour throughout early childhood. I would like to point out the main preventive and interventive approaches as well. One of significant parts of the thesis, the practical part, will conduct outcomes of an empirical probe about meaning and attitudes about obese individuals and obesity itself and about individual's fat phobia. The results of today's boarding and lifestyle of the population of Czech children will also be mentioned. I would like to show actual characterisation of Family Weight Reducing Course clients. All these characterisation will lead into valorisation of our situation here in Czech Republic. This will lead into possibility to propose some further preventive, interventional and therapeutic progresses in the fight with child and adolescent obesity. The work should primary aspire to improve everyday...

Prehistoric settlement of the northern part of west Bohemia
Kusý, Zdeněk ; Popelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kuna, Martin (referee)
Prehistoric settlement ofthe northem part ofWest Bohemia This thesis describes and analyses prehistoric and early medieval settlement of the northem part of West Bohemia on the basis of archaeological sources. Selected sites together with history of excavation on them and some fmding situations are briefly described. Data processing from 300 archaeological sites were done using computer programs for Geographic Informational Systems and statistics, spatial relationship of archaeological sources to natural environment was the evaluated data. The analysis shows different intensity of archaeological evidence of settlement in the northem part - upward flux of the river Ohře region, and the southem part - the river Mže region, within themselves and also a strip of area virtually without any archaeologically significant data between them.

Early diagnosis and therapy of lymphoedema after complex breast cancer therapy
Wald, Martin ; Hoch, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlišta, David (referee) ; Duda, Miloslav (referee)
This study presents an analysis of the health status of 119 breast cancer survivors who were treated surgically at the Department of Surgery, 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University at the Motol University Hospital, between January 1998 and January 2002, and in whom relevant clinical and follow-up data up to March 3, 2009, were available. The aim of this study was to define a diagnostic algorithm for a latent stage of limb lymphedema, to define the most frequently occurring non-limb lymphedema, to try to re-formulate relationships between different symptoms of post-mastectomy pain syndrome and the latent stage of limb or non-limb lymphedema, and finally to verify the hypothesis that early diagnosis of lymphedema and its ready therapy may influence the subsequent development into more advanced stages. On the basis of the proposed algorithm of diagnostics, therapy and monitoring, the patients with non-oncological conditions following a comprehensive breast cancer therapy were repeatedly examined before March 30, 2009. The main emphasis was put on case-history, clinical examination, lymphoscintigraphy and/or sonography of the venous system and the differential diagnosis of subjective and objective problems, which included acute and chronic limb lymphedema, non-limb lymphedema, WEB syndrome, neurologic...

Comparisons to the frequently occurring late ecotype are also emphasised where relevant.

Graphemics in the German documents of Václav IV 1379-1399
Bartůňková, Alena ; Ebelová, Ivana (referee) ; Vodrážková, Lenka (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is twofold. On the one hand I try to determine a system in the use of the graphemes in the documents of Vac1av IV. from the years 1379-1399 and I confront the findings with the use of the graphemes in the Middle Upper German (Mittelhochdeutsch). On the other hand, I compare these results with the use ofthe graphemes in the early Upper German (Frühneuhochdeutsch) as described in the literature, in particular in 1. T. Piirainen, V. Moser, H.Bokova, L.E. Schmitt and V.E. Mourek. The first chapter describes the period of reign of Vac1av IV as weIl as the personality ofthe ruler. The second chapter deals with the court ofVac1av IV. with a particular emphasis on the language situation at the court. Further, Vac1av IV.'s chancellery is characterized in the chapter three as apart of the court and I also shortly describe its history, structure as weIl as the competence of its members. Chapter five is devoted to documents as objects of a study; thus, first I define and c1assify different types of docurnents and second, I indicate the relevant features both in the form of the document and its content. The next chapter describes the status of the early Upper German (Fruhneuhochdeutsch) as it emerges from the literature. The seventh chapter lists the documents of Vac1av IV. between the years 13...

The entertainment and behaviour of Italians in the Early Middle Ages through the eyes of the Bohemian cavaliers

Use of inhalation systems with asthma in connection with nursing
KLEINOVÁ, Irena
Asthma bronchiale is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways, connected to bronchial hyperactivity leading to shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness and cough. It effects people of all age categories and cannot be efficiently cured nor prevented. The incidence ranks this disease among the most common children´s chronic diseases. It affects a significant part of the global population - records say about 300 million people. Its prevalence has dramatically increased over the last 20 years. It is estimated that in 2025 about 400 million people will suffer from asthma. Cornerstones of asthma control are based on early diagnostics, efficient treatment, adherence to lifestyle changes and proper use of inhalation devices. Once the treatment is effective and check-ups and the use of inhalation therapy are regular, the prognosis of asthma is very favourable and it is possible to improve the patient´s quality of life. The control over asthma and its maintenance is the main objective of treatment. This can be achieved by using anti-inflammatory therapy, especially in inhalation form. This Bachelor´s thesis focuses on mapping inhalation systems with patients with asthma bronchiale. To a large extent it deals with the issue of use of inhalation systems, keeping to lifestyle changes and the role of the nurse in asthma-specialized outpatient´s departments. We see the relevance of this topic in the fact that, despite all available literature and medical advice, many asthmatics still make mistakes in the inhalation technique. Wrongly selected inhalation systems or wrongly selected inhalation techniques results in therapeutic failures and problems of patients get worse. This does not maintain control over asthma. The fact that many asthmatics do not know their exact diagnosis and underestimate some symptoms is very alarming. In the introduction, the theoretical part focuses on the definition of the disease. Other chapters include causes and symptoms of asthma, its classification, diagnostics and treatment. It also provides information about the treatment of acute asthma attacks - exacerbation and the role of the nurse in examination of an asthmatic patient. A great part of the thesis deals with inhalation systems, their types and effects. The preparation for the use of manual handheld inhalers and nursing care for the asthmatic patient in outpatient and inpatient care is developed at the end of the theoretical part. The objective of this part was to summarize the current knowledge about this issue. The objective of the Bachelor´s thesis was to map the use of inhalation systems in patients with asthma bronchiale. The following research questions were used: How do nurses inform patients about the use of inhalation systems? What type of inhaler do patients like? What is the nurse´s involvement in the examination of asthmatic patients? What are the most common mistakes in the application with an inhaler? How do asthmatics keep to lifestyle changes? The practical part of the thesis contains the results of qualitative research which was made on the basis of the semi-structured interview. Final interviews were transcribed and subsequently processed by the technique of open coding. The research sample was made of 12 asthmatics and 9 nurses working in selected asthma-specialized outpatient´s departments. With respect to the results found, an information brochure was created - see Annex 7 - which is intended for use by asthmatics. We believe that the results of this thesis will be helpful for asthmatics and increase the interest of experts in this issue and will also address other people willing to take part in its solution.
