Bachelor thesis Losses reduction of single-phase induction motor deals with issues of increasing the efficiency of single-phase induction motor JMO90-4S-90 from EMP s.r.o. Slavkov near Brno. The first part deals with the theory of induction motors, especially single-phase motors and analysis of losses in induction machines. The second part deals with the introduction of motor solutions and methods used for loss reduction. In the third part, the thesis deals with the calculating selected parameters, the design of motors in RMxprt, and their modification for improving efficiency. The fourth part deals briefly with the design of motors in Ansys Maxwell, comparison of results obtained from Maxwell and RMxprt with the results from measurement for motor JMO90-4S-90 and comparison of results from Maxwell and RMxprt for other motor solutions.
Design of oil distribution transformer
Mrajca, Miroslav ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the manufacturing process of oil distribution transformers. Firstly, the thesis devotes to the design arrangement of the magnetic circuit and its manufacturing technology. The procedure of cutting laminations for core and their building into the core. Subsequently, the thesis describes technologies used for manufacturing primary and secondary windings including procedures on winding machines. Then it deals with the production of the tank and the final assembly of the transformer into one unit. The next part of the thesis discusses the design procedure of the assigned distribution oil transformer with a numerical calculation while respecting the requirements of the standards. Finally, the costs of the material of the designed transformer are determined.
Impact of winding on induction machine characteristics
Mikmek, Vladislav ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of a three-phase winding of an induction engine. After the theoretical introduction concerning different types of windings, two types of their analysis and the importance of the winding factor, two methods of analysis and design tools are explained: Görges diagram and Tingley scheme. This scheme is then used for the design of all possible variants of winding for a certain number of stator slots and the theoretical shape of magnetic field is analysed. The next step is a deeper software analysis of the engines with variants of windings with different coil pitches and number of conductors per slot. Especially the finite element method is used in this part. The obtained values and their characteristics of the simulated engines are compared numerically and graphically. Then the changes of important values for different windings are described. The optimal winding according to chosen requirements is chosen.
Production Comparison of High Voltage Winding of Dry Transformers
Mrajca, Miroslav ; Bulín, Tomáš (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the history, importance, usage, construction and principle of the operation of transformers. The thesis also focuses on the detailed description of the parts which the dry power transformer is composed from, as well as the description of their manufactory and following assembly into one unit. The thesis contains the comparison of different technologies of manufactory of higher voltage winding and magnetic circuit. The thesis contains a process of design of the dry transformer with an example of calculation. The output is a comparison of different high voltage winding technologies in terms of production costs and winding factor.
Low-voltage and low-voltage electrical machines insulating systems
Procházka, Jan ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This thesis describes properties of windings of electric rotating machines and their insulation systems. There are winding and insulation low voltage machines tests listed with their procedures and criteria. Further it deals with coordination methodology and the last part contains execution and results assessment of tests conducted on stator samples.
Low power current transformers
Zolich, Ladislav ; Hrabčík,, Miroslav (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
Master‘s thesis is focused on current instrument transformers, current sensors and low power current transformers. Discussion is made on advantages and disadvantages of each measuring principle. Low power current transformers is then designed and manufactured. Manufactured LPCT is then measured for accuracy class. Results are then compared.
Small Induction Motors
Chvatík, Štěpán ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with a single-phase induction motor and is organized in five sections. In the introduction is briefly described its construction and compared with three-phase induction motor. The first chapter describes the emergence of a rotating magnetic field of motor, methods of obtaining the starting torque, the influence on properties of different types of motors, comparing the torque characteristics of the different types of motors. In the second chapter is discussed permanent-split capacitor induction motor, its calculation and operational optimization. The third chapter deals with the determination of general principles of calculation and calculation method of single-phase induction motor with auxiliary winding. The fourth part verified the accuracy of these procedures on the selected motor when we performed calculations based on the input parameters of the motor, and after that these calculations are compared with the output parameters which are prescribed by the manufacturer. Verification of the relevance of declared parameters is supported by measurements on the mentioned device and their evaluation.
Special low-power induction motors.
Belica, Andrej ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Master thesis deals with design and construction of the most widely used engines currently. Overall, it is divided into five chapters, the first chapter deals with constructional features of various three-phase asynchronous motors, the second chapter briefly paid attention to single-phase motors. The next chapter focuses on the specific engine types, which differ from standard induction motors in its design implementation. This is an engine with full rotor, hysteresis, linear and with shaded field. Although asynchronous motors are considered the most reliable machines work in imperfect conditions, it leads to frequent breakdowns. This is covered in chapter four. Based on the findings from previous chapters the fifth chapter includes a preliminary draft of the asynchronous motor with a full rotor. The last chapter is devoted to the measurement on functional models.
