Kulhánková, Radka ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
The final thesis focuses on the Czech politician, teacher, writer and publicist Vojta Beneš, the brother of the second Czechoslovak president Edvard Beneš. The 73 years of his life belonged to the epoch that brought two world wars and the fundamental changes in the history of our country. We can find two major efforts in Vojta Beneš's life. Dedicated work for his homeland and help the Czechoslovak child. Beneš was an ardent nationalist in the best sense and subordinated all his life to the thought of independent, humanist and democratic state. He helped in its formation in 1918 as an active leader of the anti-Austrian resistance among our countrymen in America, fought to defend our country in 1938 and later in 1948, when his mother country was threatened by two totalitarian regimes. The second theme of Vojta Beneš's life, that this thesis deals with, is a quality education and social support of the Czechoslovak children, that he performed in his original profession, later in the service of high educational institutions in our country and also in the organizations, that provided social care to the people in need.

Concept building process in the environment of Grid paper
Procházková, Ivana ; Hejný, Milan (referee) ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor)
My diploma work focuses on geometrical environments geoboard, dotted paper, grid paper and triangular paper together. At first, I try to apply this experiment on myself, thus I discover the Pick's formula for a triangular paper. Consequently I apply different levels of a cognitive process on my procedure. By doing this I am trying to go through the same process the children experience during the experiments. My next part deals with a problem of how such aspects could be used in order to get the expected outputs from "RVP" and how these aspects are understood in textbooks. The last part contains the actual experiments with children in the geometrical backgrounds described above.

Translating as a component of Pavla Moudrá's writing
Dolečková, Leona ; Heczková, Libuše (referee) ; Kalivodová, Eva (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on three areas in which Pavla Moudrá attained her cultural objectives, namely in the context of public activity, journalism and translation. Although the scope of the thematic areas to which Moudrá devoted herself during her life was relatively wide, it is possible to identify a number of areas which may be considered as being of fundamental importance for her, and which are also reflected most clearly in her writings and translations - spiritualism, the social position of women, the peace movement, the protection of nature and animals and the education of children and young people. In these Moudrá was engaged first and foremost as a conscious propagator of spiritual values, in particular on the basis of the ideas of the theosophical movement, which especially at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century became a domain for women and their public activities.

Pertussis in Czech Republic and on the World
Vítková, Jana ; Maixnerová, Marina (advisor)
Pertussis is the serious and highly infectious disease which presents a big worldwide problem. Especially little children take the disease but it is able to affect every age group. It could be fatal for infants, little children and especially for everyone, who hasn't immunized already. The disease affected up to 51 million cases yearly and from that 600 000 diseased died in advanced countries before the implementation of vaccinations (1). A regular vaccination was introduced in advanced countries in 1950. It has succeed to reduce the incidence on very small number of the cases yearly. However, the number of the cases has been increasing from 1980. The disease has started to be the threat again in the last years. The similar situation is also in Czech Republic. The number of the cases has been increased several fold during the last few years here (CR). Here is visible a shift from a lower age group to a higher especially in children 10-14 years old.

Theatre as a Tool
Večeríková, Mariana ; MIKEŠ, Vladimír (advisor) ; KLÍMA, Miloslav (referee)
The aim of the dissertation work Theatre as a tool is to research how active theatre work influences personal development of actors and non-actors. This problem is analysed mainly through my experiences gained at Summer Theatre workshop for children which I have been leading for three years and my one year experience at Norwegian Theatre company Stella Polaris. I also mention the experiences from my studies at Academy of Performing Arts. In this dissertation work I am trying to find out in which specific fields can theatre work influence one´s personality. I am closely looking at comparison between my personal approach for Summer workshops and Stella Polaris´s approach in fields of intellectual and physical approach towards a non-actor, fields of trust and collaboration. I am also writing about my personal development. All my opinions are supported by particular experiences from both projects.

Analysis of physical education at primary and secondary schools from the standpoint of physiotherapy.
MAŤÁKOVÁ, Kateřina
Lack of physical activity is a dominant part of current lifestyle. It results in many lifestyle diseases and is the primary cause of posture disorders in schoolchildren. In particular, of all the long term problems monitored by physicians, the third most significant are those of motoric functions, following behind allergic deceases and sensory defects. The bachelor thesis "Analysis of PE at the primary and secondary schools from the standpoint of physiotherapy" consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on information about lifestyle, the effect of regular physical activity on our body and which diseases can be prevented or reduced through regular exercise. Furthermore there is a chapter concerning the anatomy of a child's motoric apparatus, of the postural function, the motoric ontogenesis, basic motoric abilities in the early age and the psychological factors of children's sport activities. Achieved results are presented in the practical part. Both quality and quantity research strategies were used for the evaluation. Data collection was carried out by testing 18 pupils at primary and secondary schools and by analysing the educational programmes of 9 primary and 12 secondary schools in Mlada Boleslav. The research took place in Spring 2012. The aim of this study was to find out whether the PE concept at primary and secondary schools is satisfactory and sufficient for the maintenance of certain mobility and agility levels. Three hypotheses were set. The H1-hypothesis assumed that PE at primary schools only took place twice a week, this hypothesis was confirmed. The H2-hypothesis, which supposed that PE at secondary schools only took place twice a week, was also confirmed. However, based on the data found, it was not possible to confirm the H3-hypothesis, which assumed that primary schools do not sufficiently develop after-school sport activities. Abdominal muscles, lower back spinal muscles and gluteus muscles proved to be the most frequently weakened muscle groups. Evaluating which age group has the least problems with shortened and weakened muscles, it is unambiguously year 1 girls at secondary schools. With respect to the obtained results, it would be appropriate to pay more attention to the PE concept and after-school exercise activities, emphasise exercise during school breaks and integrate stretching exercises also into regular classes, especially for the 7-11 age group, when the biggest increase in faulty posture habits occurs.
