A Communication Game with the Body as a Way to Develop Geometric Imagination
Schimmerová, Kateřina ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor) ; Slezáková, Jana (referee)
This paper deals with early children's spatial imagination. It is based on experiment focusing on children's tactile perception of spatial solids without visual check. Also the ability to communicate this perception to another person is observed. The paper is theoretically supported by constructivist ideas, it further draws mainly from Jirotkova and Littler's work, van Hiele's levels of geometrical thought and author's own teaching experience.

Assembled structure of hall in Vysoke Mýto
Jarmara, Pavel ; Chalivopulos, Paris (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on design and assessment of mounted storage hall. I have designed prestressed truss, reinforced truss, beam, column and foundation pad. I have made calculations for consideration of ultimated limit state as well. I have made analysis of internal forces for beams just with manual calculations. Analyses of internal forces for column and foundation pad were found with Scia Engeneer. All calculations are following the Eurocode 2. All designed elements have formwork drawing and reinforcement drawing.

Executive functions in individuals with autism and possible intervention
Viktorinová, Michaela ; Loneková, Katarína (referee) ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor)
There have been many psychological theories which tried to unravel the functioning of individuals with autism. This paper perceives autism as an executive function disorder. It focuses mainly on one single component - verbal and nonverbal fluency. The theoretical part of the paper analyzes some of the well-known executive function models. Since at the end the thesis draws conclusions for possible intervention in autism, the knowledge of these models seems to be essential. The methodological aspects of executive function research are tackled as well. The dispute between the supporters of executive dysfunction hypothesis and advocates of its rival theory - Theory of Mind, is still ongoing. Their main arguments are therefore briefly discussed. However, the essence of the theoretical part lies in the executive function profile and the analysis of the main executive components. Conclusions of the theoretical part then lead us to the formulation of empirical hypotheses. In the empirical part 13 individuals with Asperger syndrome and 13 healthy controls were tested. The verbal and nonverbal abilities in both groups were taken into account. Three studies were executed. First of them dealt with the "purity" of fluency tasks and revealed significant influence of intelligence over individuals performance. In the...

Spatial survey of cost of european companies in 2006
Chrástek, Michal ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Makovec, Martin (referee)
The content of this thesis is an investigation of selected companies from the European Union, with an emphasis on the Czech Republic in terms of indicators of incremental costs, total costs, labor productivity and average passenger load per worker. Thesis is focused exclusively on the company's primary and secondary sector. Data on individual companies, I draw from the Amadeus database. Ratios are calculated from data in 2006. The highest total cost, I noticed in Italy, Germany and Portugal. In contrast, the smallest recorded in Estonia, the Netherlands and Denmark. For labor productivity and average passenger load per worker based on the maximum value for the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium. In contrast, with values not too proud in Bulgaria, Romania and Estonia. Czech Republic in most indicators fluctuated slightly below average among the selected European countries.

Visualization as one of the factors that sell the products and services
Baumrt, Tomáš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with a subject of taking advantage of visualization during the process of product presentation. Its main aim is to find out, if visual presentation (design) of the product cover affects consumer's behaviour during the decision process of buying a particular product. If this influence is proven, a second goal is set up, namely detection of effects of chosen factors of visual presentation on consumer's decision process. Diploma thesis is divided into 6 chapters. The first introduces the topic to the reader and familiarize him with the goals and structure. Second chapter theoretically describes fundamental terms of communication, especially visual communication. The third chapter covers issues concerning the product itself and its advertisement. This chapter brings to the end theoretical part, which gathers information partly from professional literature and partly from authors' knowledge and experiences. Practical part forms the main element of the thesis. Fourth part consists of various methods for analyzing previously questioned problems in detail. Sample questionnaire examining consumer's preference is drawn up as well as graphical proposals of product design. Chapter ends up with a summary of results found out during the query survey. Results are interpreted in details in the fifth chapter, together with an attempt to draw general conclusion. Last chapter summarizes gathered information and evidence. Contribution of this work is not only to emphasize the significance of product cover and its effect on sale. Corporations or more precisely their marketing departments should realize this fact while creating marketing plan and especially advertisement plan. They should pay more attention on appearance of the product cover. Benefit further consists in processing the whole topic, with neither theoretical nor practical literature is concerned, although proven that opposite should count. Thesis tries to show the direction of further investigation, possibly followed by more complex and extensive surveys, which should bring valuable results and could be used not only by firms but also by consumers themselves.

Typical features in the processing of colour modification Wartegg's drawing test of gay men
LATINI, Sandra
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the main drawing features in the processing of color Wartegg´s drawing test (WZT) made by gay men. In theoretical section the concepts of projective methods, Wartegg´s drawing test, basic characteristic of colors and homosexuality are explained. In the practical part, WZT tests made by homosexual and heterosexual men were compared by quantitative analysis. During the practical part were collected 40 tests ? 20 by gay men and 20 by heterosexuals. The basic research questions were established, and they were answered in the conclusions. Questions were related to color´s variations, differences in individual fields in WZT and overall impression of the outcome. It was found, that the groups of examiners primarly differ in terms of symbolism in the various fields and the terms of interpretation. The objective of this study was appointed as a basis for future research dealing with this issue.

Brzá, Magdaléna ; Karásek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ditrych, Ondřej (referee)
The Master's thesis Delegitimization of the west in Al Qaeda's Magazine Inspire focuses on the techniques of terrorist group's propaganda aimed at individuals of Arab descent and Islam faith residing in one of the western countries. Thesis analyses sixteen issues of digital magazine Inspire published since 2010 by Al Qaeda affiliate in Yemen called AQAP - Al Qaeda in Arabian Peninsula. Terrorist attacks by so called lone-wolfs on the territory of western states have had increasing tendency in the last decade. The phenomenon of online propaganda and radicalisation through social networks is progressively becoming one of the major challenges for western security services. Grasping the sociological and psychological aspects of lone wolfs' drivers for conducting terrorist attacks is thus crucial. The underpinning theory of the thesis is framing analysis together with the concept of delegitimization. Thesis traces the production and use of five framing tools - metaphor, catchphrases, depiction, exemplars and visual images (which are the combination of studies done by Fairhurst & Sarr and Gamson & Modigliani 1989). Second part of the thesis links the framing tools with three stages of the delegitimization of the west - a crisis of confidence, a conflict of legitimacy and a crisis of legitimacy. The...
