The language of hip hop

This thesis is focused on hip hop language in terms of young people diction and their manners of speech. lťs also focused on subcultures relating to youth communities. Both the term adolescence and the characteristics of somatic or mental alternations going with individual's growing up period (and actually leading individuals to specific needs of founding or integrating to various subcultures) are going to be made c1ear in the opening part. The following part deals with young people diction and its specifics. The next part contains the historie and contemporary description of the hip hop subculture. The rest of the thesis is dealing with verbal analysis of particular hip hop songs as well as with album reviews and finally with discussion forums referring to this specific genre/subculture on the internet. The goal of my thesis is to describe and illustrate the specific language features of all those text types.

Czech of Slovak Speakers

Bachelor thesis Czech of Slovak speakers analyzes written texts of two native Slovak speakers in the Czech language on the basis of knowledge of language transfer, semicommunication and typology of linguistic errors. The first part is devoted to theoretical definition of the problem. The second part contains brief biographies of both participants, including the method of acquisition of Czech and its use, and delivers the results of error analysis of texts. Based on the review of the literature and the obtained data categories of errors occurring in Czech of Slovak speakers are created. The thesis provides an overview of anticipated and other errors in the texts of both speakers compared the incidence and description of selected problematic phenomena.

Transfer Vibration through Spine Abstract In the bachelor project we deal with the topic of Transfer Vibration through Spine. The problem of TVS is trying to be solved by the critical review method. We analyse some diagnostic methods and methods of treatment based on this principle. Close attention is paid to the method of Transfer Vibration through Spine that is being currently solved by The Research Institute of Thermomechanics in The Czech Academy of Sciences in cooperation with Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. In the text are also searched mathematical description and biomechanical qualities of spine system that are related to these mentioned methods. The project is also used as a theoretical base for future experimental part of the research. Physiological And Biomechanical Point Of View (Critical Review). Cíle práce: Cílem této diplomové práce bylo kriticky zhodnotit koncept kraniosakrální terapie z pohledu anatomie, neurofyziologie a biomechaniky. Pokusili jsme se shrnout a analyzovat dosavadní poznatky týkající se tohoto konceptu. Metoda: Použili jsme 75 dostupných odborných textů (včetně internetových zdrojů), ze kterých byly čerpány informace pro získání přehledu jednotlivých teorií a experimentálních studií, jejichž autoři se zabývali problematikou týkající se kraniosakrálního konceptu. Výsledky: Výsledky poukazují na značnou rozdílnost názorů ohledně kraniosakrální terapie. Obecně lze shrnout, že převládají názory odporující tomuto terapeutickému konceptu, a to nejen z hlediska jeho teoretického základu, ale i z hlediska léčebného efektu a spolehlivosti. Závěr: Toto kritické zhodnocení odhalilo nedostatek důkazů, které by podpořily koncept kraniosakrální terapie. Výzkumné metody, které by přesvědčivě zhodnotily teoretický podklad tohoto konceptu nebyly do dnešního dne, dle dostupných informací, použity. Music in advertising in Studio Zlín between 1930 and 1940. Martinů's The Lady's shoe in context

Anotation The Diploma paper, which is focused on advertisements of Studio Zlín in the 1930's, gives a coherent review of history, development and the role of advertisement in the Baťa company and reaches as far as the promotional motion picture in Zlín. It was being formed in continuity with the development of sound motion picture, which appeared, as one of the first, in Paris. This is where Bohuslav Martinů (8 December 1890 - 28 August 1959), who composed advertisement music Střevíček (The Lady's shoe) for the Baťa company in 1935, stayed at the time. The motion picture is classed with the period context of the film industry, sound motion picture and film advertisements. The goal of the presented text is to analyze in detail the music component of the promotional film Střevíček and to compare it with the other six Zlín advertisements. It was necessary, in order to compare these films, to study the function of sound dramaturgy in film (advertisement) and to deal with existing sound instruments and their proportions in promotional films in Zlín. An Own Novelette With Authorial Commentary

This thesis consists of two main parts: the first is author's own novellete and the second is an essay which describes mainly the process of a creation of the story. By using literary-theoretical perspective the essay thus tries to uncover and analyse the problems a writer deals with during his work; it analyses the changes, which were effectuated by author in order to attain his original intentions. In particular, the essay focuses on questions such as: finding the suitable subject for the story; portraying the characters and pointing the conflict between them; constructing the sujet and spatiotemporal relations. It is also higly focused on a questions linked to autobiography, on the transformation of an authobiographical story to a fictious story. At the conclusion the essay responds to the reviews on the long-short story; the author evaluates himself as a creative personality and thinks of a practical use of the experience acquired through the writing of a literary work in teaching the Czech language and literature at school.

The change of referring about the Green Party

The topic of the thesis is "The change of referring about the Green Party" with the subordinate title "The frequency of the texts appearance about the Green Party in a press before and after five percent of the electoral preferences". The form of this thesis is the quantitative analysis of the content of the defined sample that is composed of two monitored Czech daily newspapers: Mlada fronta Dnes and Pravo. The time period under review is appointed for two six-month intervals. The former interval starts on April 2005 and ends by the breaking Convention of the Green Party on 24th September 2005 where Mr. Martin Bursik was called to the chair of the party. The latter interval continues after Convention and lasts till the end of March 2006. There is also another breaking point when the electoral preferences of the party have approached the five percent limit on January 2006 for the first time (this minimal limit is needed for gaining the Chamber of Deputies' chairs in the Chamber elections). The work has proved that there is not a significant change of referring after the Chairmanship change, but after another point: reaching the five percent limit of preferences as much more important breaking point. This thesis is focused on sentiment analysis of unstructured text and its practical application on the real data downloaded from website Yelp.com The objectives of the theoretical part of this thesis is to sum up the information related to history, methods and possible applications of sentiment analysis. A reader is acquainted with important terms and processes of sentiment analysis. Theoretical part is focused on Naive Bayes classifier, that will be used in practical part of this thesis. In practical part there is detailed description of data set, construction and testing of model. At the end there are presented pros and cons of the chosen model and described some possibilities of its usage.
