Navrátil, František ; Kulich, Michal (advisor) ; Antoch, Jaromír (referee)
of the bachelor thesis Title: Matrix Algebra in Statistics Author: František Navrátil Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: Doc. Mgr. Michal Kulich Ph.D. Abstract: The thesis deals with the theory of matrix algrebra, which is applicable in probability and statistics. The aim of the thesis is to summarize it in a clear and understandable way, so that the student familiar with the basics of matrix theory can expand his knowledge and use it in further studies. Therefore, the thesis contains many definitions and proved theorems, and examples to help understanding the theory. Applications are mentioned. It also provides references for further reading. The thesis begins with a brief summary of basic definitions and results in matrix algebra, which are covered in the usual courses on linear algebra. Subsequent chapters are specific, inter alia, for probability and statistics - in particular, they focus on special types of matrices and their properties, important matrix decompositions, functions of matrices and matrix difierentiation. Keywords: matrix algebra, statistics, idempotent matrix, spectral decomposition, Kronecker product

The Press Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechoslovak Republic between 1918-1938 : leading, personalities, conception and organization
Roubalová, Ivana ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
After serving few hundred years under the reign of Habsburc monarchy the Czech nation was trying to establish itself like a more independent part of the monarchy or like a new and independent state outside from the Habsburc monarchy. Activities of this movement were called National renaissance and it culminated during the First World War at that time led by Mr. Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, who was supporter of independent Czech state formed as democratic republic. The end of the First World War was a big victory for efforts to establish the new Czech state with cooperation with the similar efforts of Slovaks. To support this efforts there was created a new nation of Czechoslovaks and all the claims for territory and new state for this nation were done together with Slovaks. A new map for eastern Europe was laid out in the Paris conference in 1919 and seven new states were established in that conference as independent and democratic, one of them was Czechoslovak republic, usually known under the name Czechoslovakia. Author of this dissertation used the method of historical analysis to describe the importance of the Press Department for establishing democratic Czechoslovakia. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Algebraic Error in Matrix Computations in the Context of Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations
Papež, Jan ; Strakoš, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Ramage, Alison (referee) ; Vejchodský, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Algebraic Error in Matrix Computations in the Context of Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations Author: Jan Papež Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics Supervisor: prof. Ing. Zdeněk Strakoš, DrSc., Department of Numerical Mathe- matics Abstract: Solution of algebraic problems is an inseparable and usually the most time-consuming part of numerical solution of PDEs. Algebraic computations are, in general, not exact, and in many cases it is even principally desirable not to perform them to a high accuracy. This has consequences that have to be taken into account in numerical analysis. This thesis investigates in this line some closely related issues. It focuses, in particular, on spatial distribution of the errors of different origin across the solution domain, backward error interpretation of the algebraic error in the context of function approximations, incorporation of algebraic errors to a posteriori error analysis, influence of algebraic errors to adaptivity, and construction of stopping criteria for (preconditioned) iterative algebraic solvers. Progress in these issues requires, in our opinion, understanding the interconnections between the phases of the overall solution process, such as discretization and algebraic computations. Keywords: Numerical solution of partial...

Bredlová, Jaroslava ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (referee)
Title: Comparison of rehabilitation approaches for female urinary incontinence at different departments in the CR. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine the percentage of physiotherapists who have offices in their encounter with incontinent patients and percentage distinguish whether they are sent to a specialist or incontinence is known only by them. Determine which method of pelvic examination with stress incontinence (diagnosed and undiagnosed) is performed most often. Find out what the age group of women with stress incontinence with physiotherapists meet in their offices often. Determine which method of pelvic examination with stress incontinence (diagnosed and undiagnosed) is usually a percentage, carried out to determine how many of the respondents used physical therapists in the treatment of stress incontinence "Ostrava concept." Another objective of this work is expressed as a percentage of physiotherapists awareness about the new clinical standard for treatment of stress incontinence and technology PELVICORE. Inform the public about female stress urinary incontinence. Methods: The research was conducted using nonstandardized fifteen-page questionnaire. This e-mail questionnaire was distributed to 30 hospitals. We managed to get a total of 54 questionnaires were processed and...

Tax aspects of social entrepreneurship
Jančíková, Eliška ; Slintáková, Barbora (advisor) ; Kozubíková, Pavlína (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show different ways of tax optimization using the work opportunity tax credit. The thesis also sums up tax and non-tax aspects of employment of people with disabilities. Tax optimization options are shown in two examples. The first one assumes that disabled and their employer are supported by the Employment Department. In the second example, disabled are employed the usual way. The research subject is a fictional company ABAB Ltd. More profitable option of optimization offers tax saving in the amount of 576 000 CZK. The net profit of the company increases by 358 100 CZK.

Clinical and cost effectiveness of antibiotic treatment of respiratory infections
Bártů, Václava ; Sechser, Tomáš (advisor) ; Homolka, Jiří (referee) ; Marešová, Vilma (referee)
Background. Respiratory tract infections belong among the most frequent inflammatory affections. They are mostly cured as outpatients. Cases with complicated or serious course have to be hospitalized. The aim of the projeet was to evaluate the procedures of physicians of pulmonary department in the diagnosis and therapy of respiratory infections including community acquired pneumonia of inpatients. The drug prescription and its adherence to the positive list were evaluated. Clinical effectivity of therapy was evaluated according to the acquired data and cost effectivity was followed up. Methods. The projeet included 200 patients who were examined and treated according recommended standard guidelines as "usually". All diagnostic and therapeutic activity depends only on the decision of the physician without any intervention. As the patient was accepted and received antibiotics, so immediately he entered the study. The projeet protocol consisted of usual questions on which physician had to response during his deciding diagnostic and therapeutic action. The projeet had non-intervention character. The results of all decisions and examinations were recorded so to the documents of patient as to the protocol of the projeet and at the same moment to the PATS in the order not to be changed. Conclusions. Data analysis...

Extensible Collaborative Development Platform
Halaša, Michal ; Hnětynka, Petr (advisor) ; Bureš, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Extensible Collaborative Development Platform Author: Michal Halaša Department / Institute: Katedra distribuovaných a spolehlivých systémů Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: RNDr. Petr Hnětynka Ph.D., S 212, Malostranské nám. 25, Praha Abstract: Currently, there exist a number of collaborative development platforms (also known as "forges"). These platforms offer to developers a set of tools for collaborative development (e.g. VCS tools, bug-tracking tools, mailing-list managers, etc). On the other hand, there exist many standalone tools for bug-tracking, etc. Usually, these standalone tools offer more features to the developers, however they have to be set up and managed separately. The goal of this thesis is to develop a collaborative development platform (forge) that is fully extensible, i.e. it will allow developers to easily add existing tools to it and manage them in a unified way. Keywords: java, forge, extensible, development platform

Calculation of a Transfer Price of the Individual Operations in a chosen Firm
Štěpánková, Iva ; Stejskalová, Irena (advisor) ; Tyráček, Petr (referee)
Calculation of transfer prices of the individual performance means the calculation of the price of a product, service, work or other kind, expressed unit of output. Kind is usually expressed in the unit such as hours, kolograms, etc. The transfer price is a toll that is used for performance appraisals for the centers but is also used for other awards such as repair services, etc. This price is determined on the basis of precalculation. In the precalculation are listed the estimated cost of the product and the calculation shall be drawn up before the start of production, repectively at the beginning of the period. Individual performance is generally defined as the results of operations and as an external performance and internal performance. External performance are services such as goods, services or goods that are sold to consumers in the market at market prices. Internal performance are those services that are transmitted in particular within the enterprise between departments.
