This diploma thesis addresses the issue enhancing the competitiveness of the company QUALITY GELATO DOLCE S.R.O. The company runs network of the confectionery’s shops under the business name AIDA. The theoretical part reviews the literature concerning the competitiveness of the company and aspects enhancing competitiveness. The theoretical aspects are used in the analytical part. The analytical part identifies the company, investigates its external and internal environment. Based on analytical findings, the assignment proposes improvements enhancing the company’s position on the market. The work presents specifics steps towards better competitiveness.
Principles of formation of the marketing mix in selected commercial company

The thesis deals with the principles of making marketing mix and the goal is to design process of making marketing mix in selected company by using the principles of marketing activities. The selected company is engaged in the sale, rental, bazaar and service of ski equipment. The first part is about the realization of the analysis of the marketing mix and the results explain why it would be reasonable to create a marketing mix for the summer season. The next part is designed to process the creation of the marketing mix, which clarifies the possibilities of the company, the competitive environment, but also the needs, desires and demands of the customer.

Title: Marketing research of customer satisfaction with selected fitness centers in competitive environment of Příbram and its surroundings Objectives: The aim of this work is to carry out the satisfaction research of chosen competitive fitness centers and find out with which aspects are customer satisfied and with which not. Enquiry may also detect the most important criterions influencing the customer's choice of the fitness center. The particular drafts and recommendations made for increase customer satisfaction will be created according to the research outcomes. Methods: The method of personal interrogation is chosen for this research and the sample of respondents is available because the most accessible present and also past customers of chosen fitness centers are asked. Data capture is realized by prepared questionnaires and respondents are addressed in front of the entrances of the particular fitness centers. Results: It was found out that the most important factor influencing the customer's choice of fitness center is price, consecutively cleanness of the facility and quality of the equipment. Position of The Guardian on the Britisch newspaper market

Bachelor thesis named 'Role of the Guardian daily newspaper in the British press market' consist of three parts. The first part deals with the mass print and its development in Great Britain. There is a brief history of the very first daily papers appearing in 18th century, their rise during the industrial revolution in the first half of 19th century, followed by the period of press barons, and finally 20th century in the name of large media conglomerates. The contemporary press market is examined from the social class perspective, typical for Great Britain, with the spreading tabloidization increasingly affecting the serious news as well as the growing power of the internet. The mutual influence of media and politics is also very important, mainly in connection with the owner effects. The whole second part is dedicated to the Guardian daily newspaper, mainly to its history dating back to 1821, when the Guardian was established in Manchester as a regional newspaper named the Manchester Guardian. The original title was used until 1959. One of the most interesting aspects of the current Guardian is its website created back in 1999. The Master´s thesis is dealing with characteristic of a firm in competitive environment. The theoretical part describes various forms of markets, both perfect and imperfect competition. Furthermore, in this part will be characterized the concept of marketing mix, internal and external environment of a company, and also selected analyses from both these environments. The main part of the thesis is focused on three media agencies, which will be described in detail. Also, locations where these agencies operate will be described. Locations determine positions of these firms in the market and their respective competitive powers. In the analysis section, I will apply the Porter Five Forces model and the SWOT analysis on these selected firms. Subsequently, I will be dealing with advertisement since it is a crucial part of the marketing mix, very important for comparison of the agencies. The practical part will present a research and a questionnaire. The research is focused on the influence of advertisement on public. The questionnaire is dealing with cultural events. The thesis compares total revenues, analyses results of the investigation, and proposes ways that the selected agencies could achieve better position in the market.

In the practical part of this thesis are analysed the competitors and competitive position of the company Leifheit s.r.o. headquartered in Blatná. For the analysis of the competitive environment of the company is used Porter's five forces analysis. These analyses are used as a basis for evaluation of the competitive situation of the selected company. In the end of this diploma thesis are described the proposals to improve the situation.

The main objective of this work is to determine the current level of competition in the international market of sportswear and equipment, analyze the factors that negatively affect the operations of the organization and thus reduce its competitiveness. The application part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the competitive environment of the company Adidas AG. They analyzed strengths and weaknesses, threats and opportunities existing in the market in which it operates, and external factors affecting the business.

This thesis focuses on a particular company operating in a competitive environment. The first part deals with the theory of the firm needed to process the practical part and the key terminology is defined. The work is concerned with the concept of enterprise, its main objectives, structure and ways of its creation. There are mentioned types of legal form of business and criteria for each of those businesses that are used in the Czech Republic. Attention is paid to concepts in the field of competition and competitive strategy. For the evaluation of the company I consider two types of analyzes: TEMPLES and SWOT. The practical part is focused on the analysis of the particular company on the market in the external and internal environment. The name of the company is DMA Praha s.r.o. It has been in business for 17 years. First is briefly introduced and described its creation, operation, management strategies, structure, and its place on the market. Not forgetting the financial situation of the company in the short and long term and comparisons within the closest competition. Interesting points of this part are incentive trends that affect the internal environment of the company. Emphasis is also placed on the analysis of the competitive environment in regards of compensation and medical aids. The most important findings and conclusions are presented in tables or in a chart in the next section. All findings were used to build particular analyzes that served to assess the performance and competitiveness of the company. Finally, it provided a comprehensive view of the state of the company and suggestions that might be an inspiration for its development.
