Design of Digital Circuits at Transistor Level
Kešner, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work aims to design process of integrated circuits on the transistor level, specially using evolutionary algorithm. For this purpose it is necessary to choose reasonable level of abstraction during simulation, which is used for evaluation candidate solutions by fitness function. This simulation has to be fast enough to evaluate thousands of candidate solutions within seconds. This work discusses already used techniques for transistor level circuit design and it chooses useful parts for new design of faster and more reliable automated design process, which would be able to design complex logic circuits. The thesis also discusses implementation of this system and used approach with regard to encountered problems in transistor-level circuit design and optimization by evolution.
Study of Inserting Hardware Trojans into Processors
Šviková, Johana ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Růžička, Richard (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on a specific aspect of cybersecurity known as hardware trojans, which are insidious attacks integrated directly into electronic components. The work begins with an analysis of the architecture and function of hardware trojans, examining their various types and classifications, and exploring methods for their detection and prevention. Furthermore, the thesis investigates how these attacks can impact compromised devices and how they can pose serious security risks. This thesis contains a design and implementation of a Trojan horse for a simple processor.
Design of a wireless communication interface with a PC for an emulation platform for modeling integrated circuits
Benc, Marek ; Janůš, Tomáš (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
In the design center of Onsemi in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, they use an emulation platform based around an FPGA for verification and debugging tasks for certain integrated circuits, and it's equipped with an interface that models an IC's configuration fuses with physical switches. For ICs with large fuse counts, working with this interface is tedious and error-prone, which has lead to this thesis investigating the possibilities for creating a wireless configuration interface that would be controlled by a PC.
Optimization of integrated circuits large-area delayering process using advanced inspection technologies
Vlach, Marek ; Otáhal, Alexandr (referee) ; Chmela, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides an overview of the technological methods used for decapsulation and delayering of integrated circuits. Furthermore, the inspection techniques and material analysis used during delayering of semiconductor chips are presented. The thesis also discusses the technological development of integrated circuits in terms of the transistor structures used. In the practical part of the thesis, a procedure for decapsulation and large-area delayering of integrated circuits is proposed and tested.
High-Voltage Structures for Galvanic Isolation in Integrated Circuits
Electronic Circuits for Biomedical Applications
Pisarenko, Tatiana ; Langerová, Petra (referee) ; Zmrzlá, Petra (advisor)
Tato bakalářská práce obsahuje úvod do biomedicínských signálů a možnosti zpracování těchto signálů elektronickými obvody. Významná část práce se zaměřuje především na popis EMG signálu. Součástí práce jsou take schemata elektrických obvodů, které se používají především pro zpracování EMG signálů. Dále má práce praktickou část, v níž byly v simulátoru OrCAD Capture ověřovány funkce a parametry navrženého obvodu.
Switching charger for car batteries 14.4V/6A
Gábel, Marián ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with issue of design of a switching charger for car batteries using a fly-back converter. The fly-back converter and its functions are theoretically described in the first chapter, which also explains use of a modification of a circuit. The modification is used because of its increased efficiency compared to the ordinary loss solutions of a relieving circuit. Subsequently, in next chapter the thesis focuses on design of a power section of the circuit, which involves calculations of the circuit’s elements. Subsequently, the MOSFET transistor control design is performed using the UC3844 integrated circuit. The charger was constructed according to design and its proper functionality was verified by measurements.
LED driver with synchronous rectification
Hodáňová, Adéla ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to compare two circuits designed for LED powering with output current of units of Amperes. Both circuits are based on step-down converter topology, one with technology of synchronous rectifying and the other one without it. Calculations and selection of used components with real prototypes were made for both selected circuits. All selected components meet automotive qualification requirements for discrete products. Produced prototypes were compared in terms of functionality, efficiency, EMC and thermal radiation.
Integrated Temperature Sensor Bipolar Core
Fránek, Jakub
Analog front-end of a bipolar transistor based smart temperature sensor was designed in 110 nm CMOS processing technology TSMC 110 and verified using simulation taking PVT variation into account. The analog front-end of the sensor achieves 3s inaccuracy of +-3.5 °C untrimmed or +-0.7 °C after single point trim over the military temperature range (-55 °C to 125 °C), requiring supply voltage of 2.7-3.63 V, consuming as little as 1μW at 1 S/s and taking up less than 0:012mm2.
