The impact of stochastic dominance generator on a portfolio efficiency
Dungl, Martin ; Dupačová, Jitka (referee) ; Kopa, Miloš (advisor)
This contribution focuses on the sets of efficient portfolios and their properties, given the class of utility functions. Firstly the basic concepts of stochastic dominance are recalled, then we limit our attention to the scenario approach and the concept of portfolio eeffciency is introduced. Di erent de nitions of efficient portfolios are taken into account - we call them admissibility, strict admissibility and optimality. We summarize the most important results concerning the shapes of sets composed by portfolios efficient according to the above mentioned approaches. The problem of path connectedness of the sets of optimal portfolios with limited short sales is analyzed. We prove that the set of optimal portfolios is path connected under the assumption that the generator of the stochastic dominance is a path connected set of strictly concave utility functions. Then the convexity of the set of optimal portfolios with respect to the set of exponential utility functions, in case of allowed short sales, is analyzed. We conclude that the sets of optimal portfolios generally need not be convex and we prove the necessary and sufficient condition of convexity.

Ceramic altarpiece
KVAPILOVÁ, Petra
The dissertation contains both practical and theoretical part. I deal with history and conception of the church in which the altarpiece will be adjusted in theoretical part. Furthermore, I allude to all proprieties that are associated with person of Saint Prokop - his life, studies, education and miracles which got him to awareness of the public. I describe the Dalej cave near Prague where he lived in, I make reference to extanted re-lics and I am also engaged in a fate of St. Prokop{\crq}s remains. I am showing up the moti-vation resources, iconography of the Saint and I am describing the technologic procedu-re of work. I attach the most original proposals of altarpiece to the practical part and also the photographs produced during altarpiece creation. First of all I am separately solving zoomorphic character of devil in which I am searching the right expression and repre-sentation of evil. Next I am studying anatomically the statue of the Saint and I am trying to find a move in which I want to capture him to get the dynamic and thrilling scene. Finally I propose the disposition which has a diagonal character. I am making the potte-ry relief that is realized as a set of glazed tiles adjusted on wooden plate in the same size as the original altarpiece was. The last part of dissertaion contains the photomontage of positioning in the sacral space of the church.

The Rome People in Broumov
Fialová, Vendula ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Klípa, Ondřej (referee)
In this Bachelor's thesis, I tried to describe the history of the Roma people, briefly: where do they come from, what made them to exile from their homeland, and when did they settle in Europe and in Bohemia. Particularly, I wanted to think about drastic ordinance of the Roma people's banishment from the country and their violent assimilation in the era of Marie Terezie's reign, the prejudices persisting in our subconsciousness up to the present day. Last but not least, I attended to the era of communism, finding there possible reasons of the problems accompanied after the year 1989. My goal was to depict the situation of the Roma people in Broumov where I focused on several branches: unemployment and education, being closely connected with each other. First, I am concerned with the particular data from Broumov, the characteristics of the city in terms of the inhabitants' structure and job possibilities. Concerning the question of unemployment, the progress is described and possible causes are being found, which is also connected with the branch of criminality. Furthermore, the living possibilities of the Roma people are discussed. Nevertheless, I consider the education possibility of the Roma people in Broumov as one of the most important, which I pay more attention to. In the end, as a prevention of...

Models of arithmetic and rich theories
Glivický, Petr ; Vopěnka, Petr (referee) ; Mlček, Josef (advisor)
In the present thesis we study the domain of Peano products (in a given model of the Presburger arithmetic (Pr)) as a potentially possible base for a construction of models of the Peano arithmetic (PA). This issue is a special case of the presentation problem which is closely connected to the concept of rich theories. We are especially concerned with one of the basic questions about Peano products domain, i.e. if there exist a pair of Peano products (· , ) such that these products coincide in some slice a: (x)(a · x = a x) and are different below a: (c, d < a)(c · d 6= c d). We reduce this problem to the question if the eliminating set of formulas of the linear arithmetic (LA) is a subset of the set of all existential formulas. We do not solve this problem completely, we only prove that all formulas (x)(z1, z2) , where is a conjunction of equations of terms, are equivalent to existential formulas. We also suggest that the quantifier elimination in the linear arithmetic is considerably more difficult than the elimination in Pr or in the module theory and that it is connected to the problem of description of finitely generated submonoids of Z. We introduce concepts (regular set, standard rationality, saw,... ) and methods which, as we believe, will be essential for an eventual solution of the problem.

Body mass changes during breeding in birds
Drekslerová, Šárka ; Hořák, David (advisor) ; Klvaňa, Petr (referee)
Body mass is one of the criteria estimating individual's body condition and predicates an ability to cope with environmental conditions. To maintain the body condition the individual needs energy supply. In my essay I am concerned with life-history strategies of birds through the adjustment with increased energy demands during incubation period and with changes in body mass relating with these strategies. The individual can cover energy requirements directly from food ("income breeder") or make an energy storage in advance and draw the energy later during breeding ("capital breeder"). According to the type of breeding environment, access of strategy evolves and how changes its body mass in consequence of the elected strategy. Income breeding occur in small birds in good predictable environment with high food abundance and it is characterized by varying body mass changes. In contrast, capital breeding occur in hardly predictable environments or in cold areas with low food abu ndance and it is characterized by linear mass loss. Body mass has a great influence on breeding success. Female make a decision to breed or not based on her body condition. Breeding with female bad body conditon incerases a risk of abandoning the nest and nest failure. Another important factors are e.g. the weather, age of breeding...

Mathematics and dyscalculic children
Kopsová, Veronika ; Kloboučková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Jirotková, Darina (referee)
The diploma work is focusted on the problems of dyscalculic pupils in learning mathematics. The experimental work was focused on observing pupils solving word tasks, web tasks and stepping tasks. The diploma work has two parts. The first part is theoretical, where I deal with where and what way the discalculic pupil makes mystakes, on the basis of professional literature. The second part is more important and this part includes practical examples and analyses of tasks solved by dyscalculic pupils. I am concerned mainly in unusual features and analysing mistakes in thein work.

Cooperating defendant
Pluhařová, Nikola ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vanduchová, Marie (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of a cooperating defendant as a legal instrument of combating organized crime not only in the law regulations of the Czech Republic, but also in the laws of other European countries. This thesis also outlines the origin and development of this institution, both in the international context and in the context of the Czech legislation, including amendments and proposals de lege ferenda. In my work I am also comparing the Czech legislation with specific national legislations. I also mention some interesting legal cases that relate to these issues and present the views of the scientific capacities and respected experts. The thesis is divided into five chapters, which are complemented by introduction and conclusion. The first chapter deals with the historical development of the institute, both in the Czech Republic and in the territories of other states. The second chapter deals with the Czech legislation, the introduction of the institute, and amendments regarding also the laws outside of the Criminal Procedure Code. I also bring up some of the views of experts who evaluate the institute from various angles and express their opinion de lege ferenda. The third chapter presents the problems of organized crime, a topic closely related; institute of cooperating...

Drugs experience of under age mothers located in inpatient treatment
Zárubová, Eva ; Vítečková, Michaela (referee) ; Lorenzová, Jitka (advisor)
In the theoretical part of my Bachelor's Degree thesis "The Experience with Drugs of Underage Mothers Placed in Institutional Care" I focus on issues connected with this topic. I address the issue of drug addiction as a problem of both the individual and that of society; forms and types of drug addiction and factors influencing the origin of such addiction. Among other issues I deal with is the adolescence period from the point of view of the way in which psychosocial relations are managed. I mention Erikson's theory of psychosocial development and psychosocial conflicts of this period too. In the next part I focus on institutional care of underage mothers and their stay in institutions. Related to this issue there is pregnancy and motherhood of underage girls and accompanying challenges not only for them but for the whole family too. I also mention possible risks and health hazards and causes and consequences of early motherhood. In the conclusion of the theoretical section I focus on drug addiction in relation to underage mothers and the impact of drugs on pregnancy and development of the embryo including the withdrawal symptoms of newborn babies. The main aim of the empirical part of my thesis is to explore, on the basis of interviews with pregnant underage girls addicted to drugs and underage mothers...

Theatre as a free vision of the world (theatre and jazz)
Valerián, William ; PAVLATA, Michal (advisor) ; TÖPFER, Tomáš (referee)
My thesis is titled Theatre as a free vision of the world (theatre and jazz). I deal with my search for connections between music and acting artistic expression during the study, which began at the conservatory – saxophone department. From acting lessons and later works in the school theatre Disk I choose the moments that helped me to find my own „jazz“ acting approach and „liberation" on the stage and its subsequent use in later professional life.
