In the opening part are described beliefs about the quality of life in general and factors which affect it. The following part contains social aspects of of nursing as a profession in the history, the beginning of Czech nursing education. There are also described working conditions, a nursing uniform formation. In the empiric part were set down goals and related appropriate hypothesis.Two questionnaires were made - for nurses and family members .The results were recorded into charts and graphs. The main task in the empiric part was to authenticate the correctness of the hypothesis and fulfilling the given goals. One of the main goals was to find out how the nursing carrer affects her personal life.

Quality of life children with installation ventricle-peritoneal shunt

The goal of bachelor's thesis is to analyze quality of life children wiht hydrocephalus with installation ventricle-peritoneal shunt. In the thesis there are given detais on problems, which arise from leave hospital and treatment at home. Thesis inqure problem 's influence on quality of life illness children and their families. A quantitative oservational study is made of questionnaire that include 9 parts about future children 's life. Physical effort was researched on diseased children from neurosurgery clinic.

General public awareness of organ donation

This work consists of the theoretical and the practical part. Historical aspects of human organ transplants are mentioned in the theoretical part. Management of organ harvesting and transplantation with relevant legislative issuees are described and full list of the transplant centers in the Czech republic is addend. Extensive ethical aspects of human organ transplants and religion attitude to organ donation are mentioned. Brain death is defined and described from the patophysiological point of view. In practical part, my work presents a general public opinion and awareness of human transplants and organ donations. In studied population, my work tried to find out a relationship between the educational level of the respondents and thein opinion and awareness of human transplants. In conclussion, some suggestions how to improve a general public education are mentioned.

Function of mass media in lifelong learning process, focusing on meaning of media communication in the context of post modern society

Media and media communication extremely affects our lives nowadays, affects our behavior, actions, attitudes, opinions and values. We should always recognize and learn about the right accession to media. The aim of this thesis is to define the basic types of media, with special emphasis on the so-called "new media" and to focus also on their functions, effects and influence. A substantial part of this thesis consists of essay on the Internet as the most advanced medium of our times and the analysis of media messages that affect us significantly in all areas of our lives. Contribution that this work should have, is specification of the meanings of media messages and determination, how much important is continuous education for media literacy and the role of media education as such. It is not just to show the negative influence of media, but in particular, if we will understand the media, it will be the great benefit to us, a source of information, knowledge and entertainment.

Legal protection of databases

The rising importance of technological development especially in Europe and the USA, which are the largest producers of databases, requires an internationally unified regulation for the protection of databases. The aim of this thesis is to present these issues and highlight the shortcomings of the current and proposed legislation in order to determine adequate legal protection of databases and how this can be achieved. The first chapter provides an overview of the definitions and the basic concepts. This includes the protection of databases by copyright and the sui generis right and a list of criteria in order to establish adequate legal protection. The second chapter outlines the legal protection of databases in the European Community, including the current legal system, its benefits and drawbacks and alternative protection to sui generis. Additionally the theories and current judicial practice are presented to further clarify the issue. The third chapter deals with the alternative legal protection to copyright of databases in the U.S. that in many ways differs from the European legislation. Similarly both copyright and database protection alternatives are presented in terms of legislation, case law and theories relevant to this area. The fourth and last chapter focuses on the international regulation of databases, and any potential changes in international regulation with regard to protecting databases. Moreover theories and rulings in this area are presented. Finally all the important points of this thesis are summarized and adequate legal measures for the protection of databases are suggested based on the advantages and disadvantages of the current forms of protection and judicial practice.

Gibberish. Is Denglish Our Fate? A Diachronic-synchonic Analysis of Anglicisms in Selected Periodicals

Lenka Kotvová Supervisor: PhDr. Dalibor Zeman, Ph.D. Pages: 144 The thesis deals with the issue of anglicisms in the German language, being based on the research of their presence in selected periodicals. In the theoretical part the individual linguistic terms are explained. Further, a brief, retrospective overview of the influences on German language is presented. Into focus comes the one these days most widely spread: the influence of English. Contrastive reactions to this phenomenon of both professional and lay public are introduced and attention is also drawn to the comparison of possible benefits and danger of the use of anglicisms. The practical part consists in own research, which comprehensively parses five selected periodicals in the terms of the presence of anglicisms. Both the quantitative and qualitative characteristics are examined and put through diachronic and synchronic comparison. The Creation of Human Beings Their Destiny and Task

The main aim of this work was to make acquainted the reader with the creation of man, as we can read it in the first two chapters of the Bible. "The stories of creation", which I was interested in, we can exactly find in the boo k of Genesis: Gn I, 26-31; Gn 2, 4-9; Gn 2, 18-25. I specialized in the Christian look at the creation of man, but I was also trying to find some contexts and similarities with the Jewish tradition, the Old Oriental tradition, as well as with the various opinions of famous personalities. This work has just theoretical character.

Stimulation Mechanisms in the System of Assistance in Material Deprivation

The system of assistance in material deprivation regulates aid to people in need, i.e., persons who finds themselves in a situation where they are unable to provide for themselves. At present, greater emphasis is being out on each citizen?s responsibility for themselves and their families, as well as their active role in the finding of solutions for social events that impact on them. The point to try to motivate people in need to improve personally and actively their income. The aim of the Diploma Thesis is to map the findings gathered in the process of applying selected mechanisms in the system of assistance to persons in need. Five basic questions have been formulated for our research: 1. How do the clients see the idea of selling property or other uses of property? 2. How can we prove a client?s endeavor to improve his income by working? 3. What requirements and demands do recipients of welfare benefits have when they improve their income by working? 4. Is the concept of positive effect of higher income earned by own work apparent more on the part of social workers than clients? 5. What options of controlling do the recipients of welfare benefits have when trying to prove their effort to improve their income by own work? The qualitative survey was conducted by questioning, using the technique of semi-structured interview. Data collection was done from July to October 2011 ad in March 2012. The survey sample consisted of 12 recipients of welfare benefits selected by random, 12 social workers from municipal offices, and 5 social workers from regional branches of the Labor Office. The collected data were processed by casuistry specialists. Other data were sorted by theme, mutually compared, and summarized in the form of tables. The research survey revealed that most of the questioned social workers do not consider the system of material assistance stimulating. They believe that the system forces clients to rely on the system, rather than seek employment actively.

Communication in the Field of Computer Science

Annotation This diploma thesis deals with a communication used within information technologies, especially within computer slang. The theoretical part of this work is dedicated to the term `slang{\crq} and its position within the structure of the national language. It presents different definitions of slang and the opinions of linguists on defining this term. Diploma thesis also describes the linguistic and non-linguistic aspects of slang. The second part of the work sets out commentary on the history of information technologies and it also introduces an overview of the written sources concerning the computer slang. The intention of this work was above all to set a dictionary of the computer slang mostly composed on a basis of questionnaire research which was done throughout the period 2007 {--} 2009. The linguistic material was subjected to analysis; it is focused on basic characteristics of slang, especially on the synonymy and expressivity. It also explores the computer anglicisms and character of their adaptation in the Czech language.
