Motlová, Tereza ; Navrátilová, Jana (referee) ; Vitoulová, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with food supplements, mineral elements and their determination in dietary supplements. The aim of this thesis was to elaborate a literature review focused on the food supplements, mineral elements, which are used in food supplements, and methods for determination of mineral elements in nutrition supplements. Forepart of this bachelor treats of food supplements, their basic categories, mineral elements which are contained in nutrition supplements and their effects in case of their oversupply (at high doses) or lack (at low concentrations) in a human body. Other part of this thesis is concerned with options of mineral elements determination in food supplements. Thereinafter, the thesis deals with ways of preparing samples for determination and analytical methods which are used for determination of mineral elements in nutrition supplements. Food supplements are foodstuffs which serve to direct consumption. Supplements differ from casually foodstuffs by high contents of vitamins, mineral elements and others matters which have nutrition and physiological effect. Food supplements are manufactured in order to achieve a diet completion of common user with positive impact on human health.

Průchod proudu vibrujícím molekulárním můstkem
Šmít, Daniel ; Čížek, Martin (advisor) ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee)
In the present work we study transmission of electron through vibrat- ing molecular junction interacting with leads using a method of nonequilibrium Green functions. Our Green functions use combination of first quantization to treat vibrational levels and second quantization to treat electron processes. We treat the change of vibrational potential of junction induced by charging of junc- tion, we find a spectral function and a magnitude of current through the junction. We confirm the effect of Fermi sea and Frack-Condon factors on sharpening of peaks. We study these processes on model motivated by biphenyl molecule, in- troducing double well potential and study an effect of quasidegenerate energy levels. We present the shift of peaks, resulting from an increase of moment of inertia, to positions determined by Franck-Condon factors.

Development of Land Cover Structure and Proposal for Using Indicators of Landscape Structure for Landscape Planning in the Cadaster of Olešnice near Trhové Sviny (S.Bohemia, Czech Republic)
LECHNER, Jan
Aims: (1.) to evaluate the historical development of a selected area, using certain indicators computed by Patch Analyst and Fragstas, (2.) to critically evaluate the possibility of using these indicators for landscape planning, (3.) to define the main factors driving the historical changes of landscape structure and to characterize changes in landscape function, and (4.) to propose an improvement of the current state of the area. Map layers including current and past landscape structures were produced using ArcGIS 9.2. Proposed have also been extreme variants of land use, its variants with an increased occurrence of shrubs, and layers showing crops cultivated in the area in the years 2003 - 2009. Some metrics were computed simultaneously by Patch Analyst and Fragstats and the outputs of both programs were compared. The data obtained were treated using STATISTICA 8.

Description and metabolites of pharmaceutical and toxicological important plants I.
Homolová, Lucie ; Opletal, Lubomír (advisor) ; Macáková, Kateřina (referee)
VIII. ABSTRACT HOMOLOVÁ Lucie, Description and metabolites of pharmaceutically and toxicologically important plants, Thesis, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Ecology, Hradec Králové 2008, 90 pp. In this thesis 31 pharmaceutically and toxicologically important or interesting plants are described. The work is focused especially on metabolites and use of these plants - therapeutical, folk and tradicional medicine, in some cases also in food-processing industry. Prahmacopoeial and non-pharmacopoeial monographs and dosage are also listed. For this thesis plants which are used in folk medicine even though the contents of substances does not conform to it were chosen. Other recorded plants were primarily used for some particular reasons but now some other important substances are extracted from them. Also plants that are toxic and can not be recommended for treating diseases but are still used in folk medicine are described. In the end the actual utilization and benefits of each plant are evaluated. Key words:

Developing trends influencing world insurance market and Czech insurance market
Mišičková, Daniela ; Daňhel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Klaban, A (referee)
Today's globalization leads to a wide range of new developing trends influencing the insurance market. The main one is a variance in the character of risks. The generation of new threats means for insurers to face up a difficultness with an identification of risks and a prediction of future damages. Solutions of a catastrophic impact of damages are hidden in an alternative transfer of risks and a higher level of assurance. The treat of longevity has its own impact, too. Demographic shock caused by a strain of population has turned people in advanced western markets to life-insurance. Mainly, because of a current insufficient set up of pensions systems, people has searched a new possibility how to insure their post-active life. It has enabled a development of life-insurance products focusing on individual clients' needs and providing several components of flexibility and variability. As a next globalization push, I cannot omit concentration and consolidation ongoing nowadays on the insurance market. Rise of giant conglomerates can be seen in the accent of cost reduction, diversification of risks and using enormous financial power. Nevertheless, the main impulse has risen from the still changing clients' needs with the necessity of obtaining complex financial service. Last but not least, I would like to mention the implementation of a regulatory project Solvency II accompanying by IFRS in the field of the insurance market. Their objectives are a reduction of information asymmetry, a higher stability of the insurance market and transparency and comparability of insurers' financial reporting leading to higher clients' protection.

Patient's Informed Consent, Medicine Doctors' Responsibility, Patient's Protection
Hronová, Marie ; Hejda, Jan (advisor) ; Skalická, Pavlína (referee)
ABSTRACT Patient's Informed Consent, Medicine Doctors' Responsibility, Patient's Protection This diploma thesis analysis the informed consent of patient, which is manifestation of the patient's right to decide about his own health freely. The main aim is to describe what laws is the informed consent based on, what it should contain, in which situations the doctor is allowed to act without the consent and what the consequences of acting without consent, in cases, in which the informed consent is required by law, are. Further problems, which are not adequately treated by the law, are also mentioned, and the obtaining of the informed consent in children and the informed consent in practice were described. It was found out, that registration of complaints should be kept by each medical facility separately in the Czech Republic. Except that, the complaints department is established at each regional office. Czech laws do not impose to register complaints or claims in national unified register. Number of complaints between 2008-2010 were obtained from the Czech Medical Chamber, Control Department of the Ministry of Health, Medical Department of Regional Office and from Prague City Hall. It can be stated, based on the study of all related resources and after comparing of the recquired information with the reality, that even if all regulations are abided, it is impossible for the doctor to inform patient about all risks and possible complications to avoid the complaints completely. The questionnaire survey shows, that the legal awareness of doctors in the issue of informed consent is inadequate and it is important to improve it.

Pastoral aspects of Baptism in the current debate in the German speaking sphere..
Kolářová Takácsová, Kornélia ; Filipi, Pavel (advisor) ; Michalcová, Andrea (referee) ; Filipi, Pavel (referee)
The thesis "Pastoral aspects of the baptism in the current discussion in the German speaking countries" analyzes critically the theological discussion since the seventies. The baptism is deprived of its closely sacramental and christological determination and is treated as an occasional service. Biographical and ritual concepts of the occasional services attribute to these acts a special theological significance that cannot be derived from Christ's commission to preach the gospel, but rather is rooted in a piety, which targets the life cycle of individuals and families. Occasional services are therefore seen as a pastoral accompaniment of man in his fault (and critical) stage of life. Its aim is to convey his emotional and cognitive stabilization and assist in re-establishing his fluctuating identity. The practice of the baptism, in this perspective, must regard ambivalent experiences of parents and provide them an appropriate religious intervention. Traditional theological contents of the baptism are markedly eliminated with regard to the situation of the distant Christians who became estranged from the reflected Christianity. IPO on Central European stock markets
Roženský, Vojtěch ; Havel, Jiří (advisor) ; Kameníček, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with recent Initial Public Offerings on Central European stock markets. It tries to explain, why there have been so many IPOs in Poland, whereas only a few in the Czech Republic and Hungary. It came to the conclusion, that the main reasons are as follows: (1) differences in equity culture, (2) the quality of commercial law and other legal issues, (3) high demand for domestic equities by Polish pension funds, (4) WSE's efficient marketing policy and market segmentation, (5) quantitative features of Polish market. The analysis of Polish IPOs discovered, that most of them are low-volume offerings, even compared to those in the Czech Republic. Also, the liquidity of these shares, turnover ratios and free float are quite low. The after-IPO performance is also unsatisfactory. This means, that the contribution of Polish IPOs to further capital market's development is not as strong as one could expect. Considering the PSE's and BSE's point of view, the situation is not alarming, however, some particular reasons of the lack of IPOs may be dangerous.

Analysis of German-Soviet economic and political relations from 1939 to 1941
Fabianková, Klára ; Kovář, Martin (advisor) ; Tumis, Stanislav (referee) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
This dissertation deals with German-Soviet economic and political relations from 1939 to 1941. These were forms of totalitarian regimes whose cooperation was not suspended though its own dynamics were influenced by ideological, economic, and political conditions. One of the motives for the intensification of German-Soviet cooperation was Germany's attempt to secure self-sufficiency in the development of raw materials. The German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact of August 23rd, 1939 was a calculated accord with precise objectives when in both systems common national interests, which consisted also in the partition of Poland, overshadowed their ideological differences. This work outlines the circumstances of the negotiations, the main actors, and motives leading to the creation of the most significant trade agreements. It quantifies the Soviet deliveries exported to the German economy in the given period and analyzes the fulfillment of contractual obligations. A barely two-year business relationship in which Reich Foreign Ministry was significantly engaged provided more short-term benefits to the German war economy, especially in quantitative terms. It helped Hitler, among others, partially solve the import dependency. With regard to the structure of trade, the Stalinist regime was particularly important for the Nazi economy because of imports of raw materials and food. Reciprocally, Hitler's Germany represented a notable source of technologies and arms production. Business contracts completion was affected by military operations, strategic plans, contract terms and conditions, and other factors. In the last part, the thesis analyzes the German economic situation in the occupied territories of the USSR in the years 1941-1943 with respect to the area of present-day Ukraine and Belarus. The aim was to answer the question of whether the planned economic goals were achieved, and to characterize the most important factors influencing German economic gains. Part of this research was an analysis of the overall balance of obtained minerals, food, and labor in order to provide an answer to the question whether it was worth it, in purely quantitative terms, for Germany to terminate economic cooperation and attack the Soviet Union. Military action was motivated by economic objectives, while there is no doubt about the racially ideological background. In the elaboration and implementation of occupation policy representatives of the industrial and banking sectors or the Reich's ministries were actively involved. Benefits expected from the economic occupation of the Soviet territory were not realized. Efficiency and goals achievement were complicated by evacuation and collaboration, also corruption, guerrilla activities, and the concept of occupation policy.

Financial analysis of Pivovary Staropramen a.s.
Sabo, Ladislav ; Boukal, Petr (advisor) ; Krause, Josef (referee)
The thesis focuses on evaluation of financial stability and performance of Pivovary Staropramen a.s. Primary goal is to analyze company's capital structure and it's position towards banks and other potentially creditor subjects. The influence of the recently arisen economic crisis on the particular company cannot be overlooked in this paper either. As the last financial statements in the time when the thesis was written were published for a year 2007, which wasn't yet influenced by the economic crisis, the thesis concentrates rather on the company's preparedness for its break out.
