The Left and the Right in MF Dnes and Právo (how both newpapers define, depict and present the left nad the right 6 weeks before general elections in 2010

This dissertation focuses on the analysis of the front pages of two main Czech newspapers - MF Dnes and Pravo. The front pages are analyzed six weeks before the General elections in 2010. The thesis aims to specify how each newspaper defines and informs about the left-wing and right-wing politics and which topics does it connect with both spectrums. Dissertation also touches the political aspect of the definition of the left and the right with a respect to historical development of both spectrums. Afterwards the dissertation compares both newspapers and tries to figure out, in what topics they differ when defining the left and the right wing. The analysis approaches both newspapers the same objective way, not looking at their political inclination.
Software Support for Project Definition Using Logical Frame Method

The goal of this diploma thesis is realization of program support for project definition with usage of logical frame method. First chapters of this thesis summarize the theoretical basis necessary for application design and its realization. Next parts deal with system design and implementation. The conclusion of thesis discusses program usage in real environment and further upgrades possibility.

The purpose of this work is to design and implement software support for Project Definition of LFM (Logical Frame Method). The first part is about project management and about necessity to use it for solving projects. There is description of phases of project and detailed description of logical frame method. In the second part there is system requirements analysis, description of the application via UML and implementation of application which was created in development environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 in C# language. There is a short summary, possible extensions and comparing with existing applications in the end of the work.
Proposal for the Centralization of Suppliers using an Information System

The goal of the thesis is the optimization of non-compliant processes and the design of effective workflow for centralization of processing vendor master data at PPG Industries. The idea of unique process leads to savings and also to standardization and thus fulfills legal requirements. In the first part the project deals with the identification of processes, defines central model and process maps used to draft a more efficient process. Proposing part uses the findings to the previous chapters and focuses on implementation to workflow using Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. Final output is the definition of efficient workflow and metrics demonstrating a clear benefit in using these procedures at PPG Industries.
Utilization of cloud solutions in business

Thesis describes the concept of cloud computing and its development into today's form. First section defines cloud computing through several definitions. It also describes important capabilities of the technology. Second section is presenting case studies of cloud deployment in Czech companies. It is evaluating advantages and disadvantages of the particular solution in use. Third section is presenting results of quantitative research that was carried out on this topic with IT professionals working in Czech private sector.
Analysis of non-current tangible assets in selected entities

Thesis 'Analysis of non-current tangible assets in selected entities ' deals with the non-current tangible assets from the point of view of the Czech legislation and IFRS. The theoretical part of the thesis characterises non-current tangible assets in terms of IFRS, which together with examples concern with the issues of definition and evaluation. The Czech legislation is compared with IFRS and the main differences are marked out that prevent a unified view of non-current tangible assets adjusted according to IFRS and the Czech accounting standards. The practical aspect is reflected in an empirical research that analyses non-current tangible assets in entities operating in the area of power and food industries.

In her bachelor thesis, student focuses in problem of kitsch and its relationship to art in the conception of Tomas Kulka. After introducing Kulka's theory in his book Art and Kitsch, whose core is definitional analysis of this concept, finished by setting the necessary and together sufficient conditions for its aplication, she compares his conception with the other selected systematic approaches, especially with the theory of kitsch by Umbero Eco.
Family Enterprising in a Chosen Region

The first part of the thesis describes family enterprising. I analyzed the historical development of family business, perspectives of family business in the Czech Republic and issue of succession in family firms. In the second part, I chose two particular family firms in the region of South Bohemia and I prepared case studies.
Public guardian of the rights in European Union, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

The diploma thesis focuses on institution of ombudsman in European Union, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. It is aimed at questions of legal regulations of this institution in the mentioned formations. Particular chapters of this thesis are structured into following 5 task parts. The first chapter describes the history of the origin of this institution, explains the term of ombudsman by using definitions, classifies existing kinds of institutes of ombudsman and specifies the field of action. The second chapter identifies the European ombudsman. It is focused especially on analysis of received complaints in practically whole period of existence this institution and evaluation of activities in 2008. In the third chapter is described the institution of ombudsman in the Czech Republic and in the fourth chapter in the Slovak Republic. The last chapter of the diploma thesis deals with comaparison of ombudsman institutions in these two countries.
