The problems of the Czech-German-Jewish coexistence in Moritz Hartmann's life and work
Nichtburgerová, Petra ; Petrbok, Václav (referee) ; Stromšík, Jiří (advisor)
This Thesis works out the issue of the Czech-German-Jewish Relations in Moritz Hartmann's Life and Work. As a Jew growing up in a Czech village, he received a German education. Talented in writing, he became a politically oriented author, who similarly to Heine knew how to use old forms to put into them a new political content. Hartmann used very often a form of a monk diary or used even a character of a writing monk, who is trying to be objective, but is on the contrary very subjective. This form is not by chance a form of at that time newly found medieval Czech manuscript, which proved to a be falsification in the 20th Century. Hartmann is not only using a form related to the Czech National Movement, but also topics from Bohemian history occur in the majority of his works. Hartmann's Bohemian motives raised a debate on two different issues. Are the topics purely Czech or are they Bohemian? Can a history belong to a single nation in a multicultural environment? The other issue is Hartmann's legitimacy of using the Bohemian history. Is he as a German writing and a pro German feeling Jew from Bohemia allowed to loving the Bohemian country? Is he allowed to make a comparison with the Jewish fate and history? Hartmann's temporary and later Czech critics argued negatively. They were afraid of Hartmann's...

WATER RELATIONS IN THE GLASSHOUSE WITH THE SOLAR GRIDS
STARÁ, Alžběta
Abstract: Growth characteristic of bean plant (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were studied in two cycles according of different optical conditions of environment during the season 2006. Plant experiment proceeded in modular glasshouse with optical rasters. Plants were cultivated front of the different colored areas, blue, orange, red and white. This work was addressed on character reflected radiance from different colored areas and differences in growth reactions of cultivate plants. Influence of different colored wall on plant growth characteristic was statistically conclusive. The observation was made weakly. Effect of radiation was statistically conclusive during measuring of transpiration intesity between individual groups. Dates given with destructive method did not prove influence of color different background on leaf area, neither overground biomass, nor on dry matter and chemical composition of plants.

Serological diagnosis of toxoplasmosis
KAASOVÁ, Eliška
Toxoplasmosis caused by the protozoan Toxoplasma Gondii is one of the most widespread parasitic infection in the world, occurring in organism of both warm-blooded animals and humans. The majority of healthy individuals have no symptoms, in some cases there are slight clinical signs. However, serious heath complications or even death may be caused either by infection or reactivation of the latent form of infection among people with immunodeficiencies. Toxoplasmosis can inflict a severe fetal damage when a female is infected for the very first time in the first trimester of pregnancy. This can be prevented by the risk group screening and an early detection of the protozoan. Laboratory diagnostics use two basic methods in order to prove toxoplasmosis, a direct one and an indirect one. The direct methods such as a microscopic evidence of the protozoan or the isolation of Toxoplasma Gondii on laboratory animals are not usually used in practice. In recent years methods of molecular biology focused on the proof of the protozoan?s nuclear acid in the biological material come to the fore. The methods of indirect evidence are based on the detection of specific traces left by the infectious agent in human organism. Among them, serological methods are the most commonly used ones in the routine operation in the majority of laboratories in the Czech Republic. A basic principle is reaction between antigen and antibody. It is possible to determine whether the infection is in acute or chronic phase and what type of infection it is. This test was utilized for serological evidence of toxoplasmosis for the first time. Then other tests were made. That includes intradermal and imunofluorecent tests, complement fixation test, indirect hemaglutination, microprecipitation or imunoenzymatic methods. The mere evidence of the presence of antibodies is not usually sufficient for diagnosis. Determination of the phase of infection is essential, therefore it is needed to prove if the value of each class of immunoglobulins (or titers of all antibodies) increases, decreases or if they have a stable value. In some cases the avidity IgG may be crucial. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to detect antibodies against Toxoplasma Gondii and to evaluate their prevalence by using serological methods. And finally, these methods will be compared. The patient samples originate from the department of parasitology and serology of Fakultní nemocnice Plzeň, therefore there is an evaluation of the incidence of infection in Pilsen region. The complement fixation test is the most commonly used in routine operation for determination of the total level of antibodies or this test is supplemented by determination of levels of individual immunoglobulin classes by using the Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. If there is the evidence of infection of toxoplasma by using KFR and the antibody titer is 1:8, it is necessary to supplement the determination by ELSA method to ascertain the level of immunoglobulin classes. This diagnosis has gradually developed from demanding and complex procedures towards fast and fully automated diagnosis. In total, 68 samples of patients with suspicion of toxoplasmosis were determined. The monitored group includes men, women and children. After consideration of the factors which may influence the reaction and on the basis of KFR, the infection of 26 persons was eliminated (negative results). The remaining 43 patients had a positive reaction for the presence of antibodies. After comparing the positive results and low titers with the clinical state of the patient or with the values measured in the past, the determination by the method of ELISA was indicated among 41 persons. The final result for August 2012 was the detection of acute toxoplasma infection of 4 people.

Stuccoed ornamentation by Santino Cereghetti at Svatá Hora
Hovorková, Eva ; Zlatohlávek, Martin (advisor) ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (referee)
The bachelor work deals with the work of Santino Cereghetti (about 1640 - 1791), stucco worker of Italian origin, in Svatá Hora. The first part deals with the technique concerning the stuccoed decoration. The second part concerns the Italian artists who came from the area surrounded by the lakes at the today's border between Italy and Switzerland and who worked as architects and stucco workers in the whole Europe. The third part of the bachelor work follows the changes in the stuccoed decoration and its form in Bohemia in the baroque time. The core of the bachelor work is in the fourth part in which the stuccoed work by Santino Cereghetti in Svatá Hora is described. The determination of the stuccoed decoration made by Cereghetti results from the contracts which prove his work and from the similarity of elements present in his form of the stuccoed decoration. Cereghetti's stuccoed decoration is embedded in the early baroque architecture. Changes in his stucco work are obvious. His first stuccoed decoration is of early baroque character. Later his stuccoes have typical high baroque features: Bernini's influence is reflected especially in the figures because Cereghetti's figures are moving, a concrete moment is displayed from which the direction of the movement and its intention are to be...

Analysis of compounds contained in Acer platanoides L. flowers
Rajdlová, Stanislava ; Karlíčková, Jana (advisor) ; Macáková, Kateřina (referee)
SUMARY Extraction of compounds from flowers Acer platanoides was carried out in the first part of our work. Two extracts have been prepared - ether and ethanol. Identification of the compounds was done by the help of a thin layer chromatography with using the standards of phenolic compounds. According to the results TLC the presence of rutin, apigenin, hesperetine, hyperoside and chlorogenic acid were supposed. The presence of a compound of reducing character was proved in the ether extract. The HPLC analysis confirmed the presence of rutin in the ethanol extract. Further, the content of total phenolic compounds was determinated in the ethanol extract and results were expressed as gallic acid equivalent, i.e. 0,135 mg GAE/mg of extract. The second part of our work was aimed at testing antioxidant activity of ethanol extract by help of DPPH test. Very high values of antioxidant activity have been measured. Compounds of phenolic character were supposed to participate in antioxidant activity of ethanol extract.

Diploma thesis Utilization of weekly diary for developing personal competences of primary school pupils deals with strategies of development of pupils' social and personal competences, namely with fulfilling the chosen goals of personal and social education in primary school. The theoretic part of my thesis proves the meaning of the goals of personal and social education and lists the possibilities of their realisation in primary school. The thesis is farther concerned with the development of the key competences with the help of personal and social education and its methods. I concentrate on the meaning of the individualisation in pupils' education and the means of the development of reflective skills in a heterogenous class. The empirical part is an teacher's action research in its character. It presents a description of an authentically created process of the introduction of Weekly diary method to the work of primary school pupils'. The purpose of Weekly diary is to help the development of pupils' skills of self-reflexion. Alongside it should support good climax in the class, make the pupil - teacher relationship closer and the individualised support of the pupils' learning process more effective. This thesis records the gradual development of Weekly diary, changing of its form and work with this...

The Analysis of Expeditures of the Regional Budgets in the Czech Republic
Čech, Jiří ; Urbánek, Václav (advisor) ; Syrovátková, Jaroslava (referee)
The diploma thesis describes the definition, function and the stucture of public expenditures. It deals with general factors of increase in public expenditures, important growth theories and their efficiency. This thesis explains the formation and the character of the public administration, reasons for its decentralisation. It shows the position of the regional structure in the public administration system and it handles with the basic ideas of the regional policy. The second part presents the public administration and the stucture of public expenditures in the Czech Republic. The analysis of expenditures of the state budget in the Czech Republic during the period 1995 -- 2007 follows. It observes their stucture, development and the most important growth factors where the influence of growth in GDP and the inflation excels. The main chapter deals with the analysis of regional expenditures during last years. It uses the regional contribution to GDP and the number of the population for the comparison of expenditures of the particular regions and demonstration of their minor disproportions. In the sphere of managing of regional expenditures it denominates recognized deficiencies and suggests some solutions to problemes such as the breatch of plans, non-transparent subsidies, unnoticed documentation, missing penal system, slow implementation of modern budgeting methods.

Effectiveness of Mitomycin administration in superficial bladder tumor
PEČINKOVÁ, Alena
This bachelory thesis deals with the possible occurrence of recurrence in superficial bladder tumors after administration of alkylating antibiotic Mitomycin C. If the relapse is proved, the thesis also deals with the finding of time spacing between relapses. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the basic anatomical and functional properties of the bladder are described, as well as the risk factors that are a possible cause of bladder cancer and clinical symptoms. There is also described a bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment strategies. The last chapter deals with the incidence of recurrence of bladder cancer. Bladder cancer can be divided into a superficial and invasive carcinomas. Superficial tumors have several treatment options and a better prognosis than tumors invasive, however, superficial bladder cancer often leads to a disease recurrence and up to 50 % of all patients are affected by the relapse. Bladder cancer does not belong to the most common cancer, among men it is the 6th most common cancer, among women the 13th, but the incidence is rising. Bladder cancer affects mainly men, namely up to 75 % of the total number of the patients. The risk is much greater among smokers. The correlation between smoking and the development of bladder cancer has been demonstrated in several studies. The basic treatment for superficial bladder tumors is tranuretheral resection and intravesical chemotherapy or imunuterapiy. Radical cystectomy is the most common therapeutic procedure for invasive cancer . The practical part evaluates the data that I collected on the Oncology department of hospital in České Budějovice a.s. I have been given the medical report of 53 patients, and all patients were diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2011-2013 and were applied Mitomycin either immediately after the first detection of bladder cancer or the recurrence. The aim is to determine whether the recurrence occurs after a treatment of superficial bladder cancer with mitomycin, and if so, in what time frame. Collected data were summarized in tables and graphs showing patient's age, gender, histopathological grading and recurrence, including the time gap between the first capture of the tumor and its recurrence. Patients who were applied Mitomycin after the tumor recurrence, not at the first detection of the tumor, but even after the following application of Mitomycin a repeated relapse occured, I compared the temporal spacing between the first detection and relapse without Mitomycin and with Mitomycin administration. The evaluated data show that although Mitomycin does not prevent recurrences completely, it extends the time when the patient had negative results on recidivism by up to six month.

Prokůpek, Marek ; Riedlbauch, Václav (advisor) ; Machek, Ondřej (referee) ; Wagner, Jaroslav (referee)
The issue of the economics of cultural institutions, their economic impact, and measurement of their performance has been paid systematic attention basically only in the past few years. PhD thesis analyses the methods of performance measurement in public art museums and creates economic models. Aim of my thesis is also to create a model for museum managers to measure the performance. Nowadays it is almost necessary to integrate performance measurement system in organization´s strategy decision making. The museum managers feel the pressure to prove that their organization is performing well by various stakeholders and we perceive the idea that multidimensional performance measures could fill the informational gap concerning performance, quality, and the artistic value of cultural programs. The mixed research method was employed in this research. Qualitative data was obtained from the questionnaire and interviews. Quantitative data was obtained from the questionnaire, annual reports and reports of The National Information and Consulting Centre for Culture (NIPOS). The aim of this study is to propose a comprehensive multidimensional model to assess art museum activities. This model takes into account the scope and character of museum´s mission. This model consists of implementation of Data Envelopment Analysis into Balanced Scorecard.
