The history and development of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church parish in Tman
Šmardová Koulová, Jana ; Hrdlička, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (referee)
This dissertation rediscovers the great impact of patriotic sentiment in the period after the World war I (and after World war II) which, along with charismatic personae of Antonin Koula and the first patriarch Karel Farský, had fundamental significance for the foundation of the great Religious community of Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Tman. Thanks to the vicar Antonín Koula the Church has expanded to surrounding towns and villages. This is apparent from the annals from which I have drawn most information. Analyzing these sources (Tman annals, Catholic annals, Czechoslovak Hussite Church annals), along with academic literature one may form an objective idea of the times studied. Partial overcoming of conflicts between Catholic and Czechoslovak Church, by means of state interference, led to the incentive to build new buildings of new architecture type typical for Czechoslovak Hussite Church. Work on this dissertation has given me many incentives for the future renovation of this community. The next output should be a deeper analysis of history and making this information more accessible to people whose ancestors built the local community. At the moment nonreligious aspects are more acceptable and interesting. Next task is to engage the public, especially children, in the church activities...
Friedrich Mildenberger's Theology.
Roubík, Pavel ; Štefan, Jan (advisor) ; Čapek, Filip (referee) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
Friedrich Mildenberger's Theology. The submitted dissertation represents generally first presen- tation of Friedrich Mildenberger's theology with distinctive concentration on his opus magnum three-volume Biblical Dogmatics. Friedrich Mildenberger is the only systematic theologian who was developing "pan-biblical theology" lifelong. Overwhelming majority of his work is con- nected with his working at the theological faculty in Erlangen. Mildenberger strove for the proper use of scripture in church which historical-critical interpreting cannot meet. His Biblical Dogmatics principally combines biblical theology with dogmatic questioning and endeavours to understand scripture applicably. Biblical Dogmatics is conceived of as posing the questions to which the biblical texts are to be discussed as answer For Mildenberger's interpreting of the Bible, it's peculiar to interlacing theology (the constitution of reality in God) and economics - or with James Barr rather oikonomia -, i.e. the restitution of reality by God. The specificity of his questioning and originality (!) determines the abandonment of the traditional encyclopaedic separation/division and theology study. Mildenberger follows the Lutheran Orthodoxy tradi- tion, Enlightenment, the so-called dialectical theology and contemporary theological...

Žezlo, Martin ; Veverková, Kamila (advisor) ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (referee)
Master's thesis Transformations of the Church at the Time of the Incoming Enlightenment discusses the ongoing contradictions between faiths. Catholic confession, which initially imposed on all subjects and nobilities in the Roman Empire has been slowly losing its previous power. Its power has been decreasing in inverse proportion by the time Enlightenment spreaded to the Czech lands throughout Germany and Italy. It changed everything, what was perceived in some way, and in turn created a lot of new knowledge. Enlightenment appeared under the rule of Emperor Charles VI., although not as much as of his daughter Marie Terezie and of his grandson Emperor Joseph II. at all. Joseph II. transformed his entire empire based on his Enlightenment ideas. By the time of reforms the "liberation" of non-Catholics and the abolition of serfdom is gradually coming. The Church at this time was very fragmented and was creating new spiritual insights on the Catholic Church and Christianity itself.

Orel, Miroslav Metoděj ; Bouma, David (advisor) ; Červenková, Denisa (referee)
The thesis deals with the theme of secrets as itself and how it is related to the church. Its main issue if is it a church that creates mystery, or whether the mystery is creates church. Furthermore, the work seeks to examine the veracity of statements II. Vatican concilium, which identify the Church as sacrament, that mean the secret. The work examines the main approaches to the mystery and the language they speak about him. While access to the mystery, which has Gnostic character and is well characterized and defined conceptually, it can be seen that the designation anit-gnostic mystery of missing a simple term. Work and offers use of the term exotheric, which is contrary to esoteric and further work highlights the typical character and timbre of this exotheric mystery. The work also aligns with the mystery as objective scientific phenomenon and examines whether the other sciences (mathematics or astronomy) may be encountered exoteric and objective mystery. Investigate the findings are eventually applied to the discourse on the Church, which shows that if the church was not defined as secret, it would be reduced to mere human community and vice versa, if the Church was reduced only as a community insider secrets, it would be just another gnostic sect.

The plot is situated at the site of the southern slope between Horáková and Molákova Street and in close proximity of the Salesi center. The project is conceived as a progressively graduating spiral rising from the mass of the community house to the sculpture of the cross at the tower of the church. Visually both building are separated from the north side but are partially connected thanks to the underground floor from the south side. The building of the community center shall be a three-story building. The design of the church itself is based on the centralization of space and due to progressive gradation to the center of the building, where all the events associated with the Christian year take place. The complex serves both as a place where the widespread society can fulfill their spiritual needs as well as a sanctuary of the Salesian community, where they can fulfill their mission.
