The aim of this project is to introduce a "System of early intervention" using methodology assigned by the Home Office. The System of early intervention is a process of work and communication in the area of social and legal protection of children and juvenils and fraud prevention. I am describing my reasons for the creation of this project and its general set up for the Czech Republic. The project is relevant to the problems of endangered and delinquant children and juveniles, and I am explaining the terms related to the subject in this introduction accordingly. In the next section I will target the development of fraud in the Czech Republic and I will mention some examples of foreign countries for comparison. Due to several departments being involved in the execution of this project, I am further introducing their activity in connection with the system. After introduction with the project on a general level, I will focus on concrete examples of work in the way that is being implemented in the Town district Prague 2. To comply with the title of my work, I am practically addressing the comparison of the System of early intervention in the nine towns in which the project has already been implemented. I have undertaken SWOT analysis and have determined its strong and weak points, opportunities and threats. I...

BMI values of pupils of second level elementary schools
Revenda, Lukáš ; Vančata, Václav (advisor) ; Přívratský, Vladimír (referee)
More and more children are fascinated with idea of perfect slender figure today that brings them over a boundary of health troubles. The causes of this phenomenon are mainly seen in social and psychical factors, but biological causes, which have at least as same or stronger influence on subconscious perception of weight, are usually ignored. The important part of satisfied personality is not only weight but height of individuum as well. The ratio between these two parameters is determined by the Body Mass index (BMI) and in this thesis I will focused on why the values of BMI are essentially significant for adolescent. This submitted rigorous work thesis deals with values of BMI and factors that influence pupils in the age of 10 - 16 years. Identified values results from measurements of 681 pupils on 8 Prague's primary schools. The results of weight and height measuring were compared with findings of national anthropological research of the year 2001, let us say 1991. From the measurement that was made is clear that there was no increase of average body weight of boys in every categories under examination and as well no decrease of average body weight of girls in every categories under examination in comparison with CAV 2001. The thirteen-year-old boys are higher than the thirteen-year-old girls....

Raman optical activity and conformational flexibility of peptides in solution
Hrudíková, Jana ; Baumruk, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kapitán, Josef (referee)
Title: Raman optical activity and conformational flexibility of peptides in solution Author: Jana Hrudíková Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Vladimír Baumruk, DrSc. Supervisor's e-mail address: baumruk@karlov.mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Molecular flexibility can significantly modify Raman and ROA spectral intensities, band positions and the ROA signs. Taking into account dynamic aspects of behavior of studied molecules in solution via conformational averaging therefore seems to be crucial for spectral interpretation. The first of studied models, histidine, plays an important role in metallo-enzymatic reactions and peptide folding, due to its imidazole ring. ROA spectra of His at different pH, His complexed with Cu2+ and dipeptides His- Gly and Gly-His were recorded on the spectrometer built at the Institute of Physics of the Charles University as a first step of the subsequent study. The second studied system, a cyclic hexapeptide c-(Phe-D-Pro-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp), serves as a convenient model for β- hairpin and anti-parallel β-sheet. It was previously studied by means of VCD and IR. From molecular dynamics simulations 10 peptide geometries were selected for spectral modeling. The Raman and ROA spectra were calculated ab initio. For a model fragment Phe-D-Pro, which...

Title: Modelling of radiobiological mechanisms in cells and tissues Author: Hana Hromcikova Department: Institute of Physics of the ASCR, v. v. i. Supervisor: RNDr. Milos Lokajicek, DrSc. Supervisor's e-mail address: lokaj@fzu.cz Abstract: The probabilistic two-stage model of cell inactivation enables to derive the characteristics of DNA damage induction and repair by an- alyzing published experimental survival data. To analyze in detail the cell inactivation effects of different ions at various energies, damage induction and repair processes in seA^eral hamster and human cell lines have been studied. Published survival data for Chinese hamster CHO- Kl cells and their radiosensitive mutants xrs5 irradiated by carbon ions and normal human nbroblasts irradiated by several light ions have been analyzed using the probabilistic two-stage model. The specialattention is paid to studying the cellular repair processes. The comparison with two common used radiobiological models, the Linear quadratic model and the Local Effect Model, will be presented, too. Keywords: irradiation, damage to DNA, cell survival curves, cell repair, radiobiological model

Word Problems with Anti-signal for the Pupils of Primary School
Chaloupková, Sylva ; Hejný, Milan (advisor) ; Slezáková, Jana (referee)
Primary school, specifically on word problems with anti-signal. In the word problems there is often a word which points out an operation which has to be used for the solution the problem. For example words like add, upwards, ascend, get in, expand, ..., that refer to addition. Or words like reduce, thereunder, descend, get off, decrease, ..., that refer to subtraction. Those words are called signals. But if a word refers to opposite operation than the word is pointing out, we are calling the word as an anti-signal. This thesis inscribes research of the mathematical problems with antisignal among the pupils of Primary school. The greatest part of the work comes out from experiments, which are filed at videos, partly listed in protocols and analysed. The short part, questionnaires, tries to catch opinions of experienced teachers on méthodologie view of the problems with anti-signal. Finally the attention is paid to the presence of those problems in the sets of textbooks, which are usually used at Primary schools. Keywords: word problems, anti-signal, operator, address, pupil's thinking processes during solving

Převrátil, Martin ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Jeřábek, František (referee)
This master thesis deals with management request towards informatics department within front company that provides wide range of financial services. Demand refers to client contact data, particularly correspondence addresses and calls for possibility to mass change such records. There are several relatively separated tasks which need to be discussed in order to fulfill the request. First part introduces the company and analyze current situation. Then continue by describing correspondence addresses issue and supports with reasons for the inevitable change. Company's information system architecture is outlined with emphasis on central database that is being formed. This part also further describes options how data can be stored. Middle part contains reason--based choice where correspondence records should be maintained in company's data architecture. Implementation plan with chosen storage pattern is formed here and connected changes in system are highlighted. As a last processes connected to correspondence addresses mass modification are described and drawn with selected notation. After that user graphic interface is designed as a place where the self request will be served.
