Beyond (classical) adaptation
Jindřichová, Markéta ; Mravcová, Marie (advisor) ; Petříček, Miroslav (referee)
Film adaptations are often confronted with criticism that they distort, reduce or picture inaccurately the original. The film was and often still is traditionally treated as an illustration of literary original, and thereby is a priori doomed to be always worse than the original. In my work I focus on such kind of film adaptation, which is an original piece of art and which doesn´t sponge on the literary model, but is rather a mutation in another (audiovisual) media. On example of three specific adaptations, which in my opinion break these criteria, I want to show how filmmakers transform the original text into the peculiar and original film work. The three mentioned adaptations fully utilize their potential (i.e. the possibility of a new organization of time, space, rhythm, character, etc.) and also represent a certain degree of metamorphosis, interpretations, updates, and independence from the original text.

Production and characterization of regenerated humic acids

Adhesion of plasma polymer films deposited from tetravinylsilane monomer
Plichta, Tomáš ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the characterization of thin films of plasma polymers prepared from monomers of tetravinylsilane (TVS) and deposited on planar silicon substrates. Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PE CVD) was used as a method of thin films preparation. Three power series were prepared from pure TVS and two mixtures TVS with argon and oxygen. The main characterization methods were scratch tests and atomic force microscopy (AFM) is used to assess the adhesion degree of the layers and topography of scratches. To assess the characteristics and context the layer thickness was measured by spectroscopic ellipsometry (ELL) and elastic modulus using nanoindentation. The collected data were used to assess the reproducibility of the results with the regard to the purity of substrates and adhesion layers, depending on the deposition conditions and layers aging.

Family House
Stromecký, Jiří ; Šímová, Zuzana (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
My bachelorss degree project was focused on building a new house in the village of Pribram na Morave. The main goal was to create a blueprint and documentation for building this structure. Functionally speaking the proposed house was built for a 4 or 5 member family with children and also included a garage. The structure is a stand alone family home with three total floors. This consists of a partially finished basement underground and two above ground levels. The structural system is based on ceramic Porotherm 30 Profi. The roof is a flat surface with reversed order of layers. Parts of this project are dispositive and architectural studies, construction details, and a thermal and technical research proposal of a staircase and Computation of the base.

Cross-docking as a distribution method
Švehlová, Zuzana ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
The current logistics chains must be designed to copy with short life cycles of products, high stock velocity, low degree of predictability etc. The conditions for accuracy, reliability and flexibility of deliveries at the markets have been changing, and that is why it is inevitable to seek new alternative methods that would lead to higher efficiency levels, remaining competitiveness and, at the same time, fulfil the needs and wishes of customers. In this paper I focuse on cross-docking which is a newer distribution method. In the first part of the paper, I try to determine the principles of this operation in distribution, identify individual types of cross-docking and in detail describe the assumptions and conditions under which the method should be implemented to reach the requested results. The paper then continues with an analysis of the current position of cross-docking and there are given several examples of demand driven supply chains that have been using this distribution method at a certain point. These examples are followed with a discussion on current options and problems of implementing cross-docking in the case of retailers and manufacturers.

Bryophytes of dry grasslands in southern part of PLA Český kras
TENČÍK, Aleš
The aim of the thesis was to survey the occurrence of mosses in the different types of calcareous dry grasslands in the southwestern part of the Bohemian Karst and assess the impact of major abiotic and biotic factors to their diversity. At seven habitat types was acquired a total of 35 plots of 1x1 m. The most important factor influencing the diversity of mosses turned out to be the degree of coverage of herb layer markedly influenced by used type of management.Dry grasslands with Festuca pallens (T3.1) and Sesleria grasslands (T3.2) appeared to be rich in moss species. Conversely mossy low diversity here is presented by broad-leaved dry grasslands (T3.4).

STABILITY ANALYSIS OF CUTTING PROCESS OF MACHINE TOOL WITH RESPECT TO CHATTER
Vetiška, Jan ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Singule, Vladislav (referee) ; Březina, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with building and utilization of mechatronic models which are based on modeling of system of rigid and flexible bodies. Such models are then used for analysis of behavior of complex systems, for instance machine tools. The work is concentrated on analysis of self-excitation of a machine tool. The appearance of the self-excitation during the machining may be influenced by several methods described in the work. The evaluation of the appearance of the self-excitation is analyzed via so called lobe diagram. It is necessary to know transfer function describing the impact of acting forces on the deformation of the system (machine tool in this case) for compilation of the lobe diagram. The whole structure of the model shows compliant behavior which dramatically influences the transfer function thus the approach to the modeling of mechanical parts as flexible bodies is proposed. There are created models of modally reduced flexible bodies based on modified CAD models which have same modal properties as non-reduced FEM models up to the maximal excitation frequency. The reduced models have significantly lower number of degrees of freedom and it is possible to work with them in multi-body simulation tools and at the same time they contain the information about the deformations. The work utilizes Graig-Bamton method which is implemented to the ANSYS. The whole model is consequently built and analyzed in ADAMS. It is possible to export the linearized model of the system in form of state matrices which are used for writing of the transfer function. The conditions of stability of the machining process are then evaluated via the lobe diagram. The proposed thesis presents the modeling of mechatronic systems with stiff and rigid bodies. The approach may be used for analysis of machining tools as well as for development of advanced mechatronic systems with active damping, etc.

Lipophilicity determination of pyrazine
Balíková, Svatava ; Kastner, Petr (advisor) ; Pilařová, Pavla (referee)
Lipophilicity determination of pyrazine chalcone derivatives Degree paper Svatava Balíková Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control, Heyrovského 1203, Hradec Králové The lipophilicity (RMW) of 1,3-diphenylprop-2-en-1-one derivatives and 3-phenyl-1-pyrazin- 2-ylprop-2-en-1-one derivatives has been determined by reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography. RP-TLC experiments were carried out with tetrahydrofurane - phosphate buffer (pH 7,0) mobile phase, RMW values were obtained by extrapolation of RM valules (determined by RP-TLC) to tetrahydrofurane-free conditions. The influence of various substituents on RMW values was investigated. Furthermore the correlation between a RP-TLC retention parameter RMW and various calculated log P values was investigated in the series of 3-phenyl-1-pyrazin-2-ylprop-2-en-1-one derivatives. Highly significant correlation was found between RMW values and calculated log P values.

Homola, Petr ; Matolín, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jiříček, Petr (referee)
Title: Study of new catalytic materials for proton exchange membrane fuel cells Author: Petr Homola Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Vladimír Matolín, DrSc. Abstract: Submitted thesis deals with study of thin layers based on platinum and cerium oxides in order to use them in fuel cells with polymer membrane (PEM- FC). A set of samples with different amount of platinum was prepared by means of magnetron sputtering. Samples were investigated by X - ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and results were confronted with sputtering parameters. It was found out that chemical state of platinum is related to its amount in thin layer. The less platinum was contained in thin layer, the less amount of Pt0 state was observed and amounts of Pt2+ and Pt4+ states increased. Furthermore the temperature stability of prepared layers in the interval from room temperature to 250 ◦ C was studied by means of XPS. The adsorption of carbon monoxide was measured by infrared absorption spectroscopy (IRAS). Increasing degree of adsorption on sample probably related to platinum reduction with increased tem- perature was observed. Measurements of other samples were devaluated by strong contamination with nickel carbonyls. Keywords: PEMFC, cerium oxide, magnetron sputtering, XPS, CO adsorption
