Annuity : regulation, charges and costs of the payout phase of the funded pension pillar
Hochmeister, Tomáš ; Bezděk, Vladimír (advisor) ; Schneider, Ondřej (referee)
The growing importance of defined contribution pension arrangements has drawn increased attention to the means by which retired people draw down their assets. Most of countries require annuitisation of at least a fraction of defined contribution plan accumulations. Annuity markets have recently attracted some criticism with respect to pricing and its costs. Requiring individuals to participate in the annuity market can reduce selection effects. Right incentives and conditions created by the government can enhance the effectiveness of annuity market. But excessive requirements and inappropriate regulation can have substantial cost for the individual. We compare the value of life annuity products in an international context emphasizing the case of Chile and Sweden and the role annuities are to play in the new mandatory defined contribution pension plans of Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The present work is based on the works of several authors, for which Prague wasone of the main themes of the work. The baseline texts as the work of E. E. Kisch, K. L. Kukla, R. J. Kronbauer and J. E. Šlechta. The work focuses on the literary depiction of life at the bottom of Czech society in the late 19th and early 20th century. Since this is avast topic, I decided to focus attention on two important thematic areas that played in the literature of the period an important role. The first part focuses on the phenomenon of the pub and people associated with it. It tries to point out the stereotyping display space and the appearance of these. Further notes the diversity of characters that fill this environment. It follows the features of both groups, but also the diversity of their rendition of the individual authors. The second section focuses on the work of the Prague underground. Pays attention to both its appearance, but also various ways of its use by humans and changes in the underground at a later time. BCRP in the placenta - expression, lokalization, function
Šobáňová, Ivana ; Štaud, František (advisor) ; Nachtigal, Petr (referee)
Breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP, ABCG2, ABCP, MXR) is the 72 kDa multidrug resistance protein belonging to the family of ABC transporters. This efflux transporter is able to distinguish and actively extrude a wide variety of chemically and structurally unrelated compounds out of cells. BCRP is most expresse in the majority of human tissues, most abundantly it is expressed in the apical membrane of placental syncytiotrophoblasts. This localization predetermines BCRP to play an important role in protecting the fetus by limiting the penetration of various xenobiotics across the placental barrier. Because of the need to treat some diseases even during pregnancy the knowledge of transplacental pharmacokinetics becomes necessary for evaluation of potential toxicity and therapeutic value of the drugs in pregnancy. The aim of this work is to summarize the current knowledge concerning the expression, localization, polymorphism and function of BCRP transporter in placenta and also the role of BCRP in pharmacotherapy in pregnancy.

Cholesterol depletion using reopheretic and apheretic processes and impact of these methods on immune system
Svrčková, Ellen ; Andrýs, Ctirad (advisor) ; Krejsek, Jan (referee)
LDL-apheresis and haemorheopheresis are the most frequent methods of extracorporeal ellimination methods used for lowering the LDL cholesterol in patients with familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH). In case of failure of conservative therapy (represented by pharmacotherapy and/or dietary regime) these methods reprensent the effective and accessible solution for the clinical status characterized by high morbidity and mortality as well. The lipid components are the most frequent observed markers for the effeciveness of intervention. However, immunity with its effector molecules plays also essential role and there is suppose, that could also reflect the state and progress of atherosclerosis in FH patients. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the levels of selected immunological markers (plasmatic glykoprotein α-2-macroglobulin, IL-10, soluble endoglin, soluble apoptotic factor sAPO-Fas and soluble form of adhesive P-selectin) and their changes after LDL-apheresis and haemorheopheresis employing enzyme immunoanalysis and immuno nephelometry. Totally, 12 patients were involved in this study, 3 were treated by haemorheopheresis, the rest 9 received LDL-apheresis. As a results, significant decreases in serum levels of α-2- macroglobulin, soluble endoglin and sAPO-1/Fas were recorded. Observed changes of...

Šteidlová, Kateřina ; MACHKOVÁ, Eva (advisor) ; SCHWARZOVÁ, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with an analysis and comparison of dramatizations of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, a book which ranks among the British children's classics. The paper examines to what extent the dramatizations correspond to the book, whether and why they deviate from the original text, and what consequences these changes have. The thesis focuses on four dramatizations – a play by Alan Alexander Milne called Toad of Toad Hall, Alfa Theatre production of The Wind in the Willows, a Walt Disney short animated film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and Terry Jones´s adaptation of The Wind in the Willows to a feature film. In the thesis, firstly the book and then the dramatizations are analyzed in terms of the theme and genre, characters, setting, composition and language use. Subsequently, the dramatizations are examined and compared with regards to the transformation processes – selection, condensation, substitution, amplification, and changes in composition and language. In the final chapter, I summarize my findings and draw the conclusion.

Nurse´s headache influence on their work ability
BROŽOVSKÁ, Iveta
We have selected this topic of the bachelor's thesis because the number of people suffering from headaches has been increasing in the population. Headaches affect quality of life of patients to a considerable degree. This research has revealed that more than a half of nurses suffer from headaches, which is alarming. The nursing profession is very demanding in physical and psychical terms so we were interested how headaches affect labour performance of nurses, whether their impact is negative or whether headaches have no effect on the performance of nurses. The first objective of the thesis was to ascertain what risk factors evoke headaches of nurses. The second objective was to ascertain whether headaches of nurses affect their labour performance. Both objectives have been fulfilled. We have used a quantitative research and distributed the total number of 150 questionnaires. 110 duly completed questionnaires were used for the data analysis. The research set was selected at random and consisted of nurses working in out-patient wards and in multi-shift operation, namely in hospitals and health centres Oblastní nemocnice Příbram, a.s., Středisko zdraví spol. s r.o. in Dobříš and Fakultní nemocnice Motol (Motol University Hospital). Hypothesis H1 stating that occurrence of headaches with nurses is influenced by the multi-shift character of the operation has not been confirmed while hypothesis H2 stating that occurrence of headaches with nurses is influenced by stress at work has been confirmed. Hypothesis H3 stating that headaches have a negative impact on labour performance of nurses has also been confirmed. This thesis will refer to the fact that the number of people suffering from headaches has been growing. It will also focus on the characteristics of the nursing profession and emphasize the main strains laid on nurses in this occupation. It will draw attention to faults in nursing practice that occur due to headaches of nurses. The resulting findings are alarming since mistakes made by nurses in their nursing performance or incorrect records in health documentations of patients may result in a serious risk to the health of patients.
