Předkládaná práce vychází z děl několika autorů, pro něž byla Praha jedním z hlavních námětů díla. Výchozími texty jsou například práce E. E. Kische, K. L. Kukly, R. J. Kronbauera a J. E. Šlechty. Práce se zaměruje na literární zobrazení života na dně české společnosti na konci 19. a počátku 20. století. Jelikož jde o rozsáhlé téma, rozhodla jsem se soustředit pozornost na dva důležité tematické okruhy, které hrály v literatuře sledovaného období významnou roli. První část práce je zaměřena na fenomén hospody a lidí s ní spojovaných. Snaží se poukázat na stereotypnost zobrazování prostoru a vzhledu těchto. Dále si všímá rozmanitosti postav, které toto prostředí vyplňují. Sleduje jednak rysy jednotlivých skupin osob, ale také odlišnost jejich ztvárnění u jednotlivých autorů. Druhý oddíl práce je zaměřen na pražské podzemí. Všímá si jednak jeho vzhledu, ale také různých způsobů jeho využití lidmi a proměn podzemí v pozdější době. Závěrečná kapitola přináší stručný pohled na uchopení této tematiky ve filmu a na divadle. The present work is based on the works of several authors, for which Prague wasone of the main themes of the work. The baseline texts as the work of E. E. Kisch, K. L. Kukla, R. J. Kronbauer and J. E. Šlechta. The work focuses on the literary depiction of life at the bottom of Czech society in the late 19th and early 20th century. Since this is avast topic, I decided to focus attention on two important thematic areas that played in the literature of the period an important role. The first part focuses on the phenomenon of the pub and people associated with it. It tries to point out the stereotyping display space and the appearance of these. Further notes the diversity of characters that fill this environment. It follows the features of both groups, but also the diversity of their rendition of the individual authors. The second section focuses on the work of the Prague underground. Pays attention to both its appearance, but also various ways of its use by humans and changes in the underground at a later time. The final chapter presents a brief look at the grip of this theme in film and theater.
