"The end of the Nylon age" novella from the year 1950 and its critical edition
Poledňáková, Barbora ; Špirit, Michael (advisor) ; Holý, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the novella The end of the nylon age written by Josef Škvorecký in 1950. It explores the text from a literary historical, literary theoretical and literary "practical", editorial point of view. After the introduction of author's work in necessary period and factual context the thesis focuses on the iterpretation of the novella, its narrative situation and the resulting structure of the text. The thesis then deals with dialogues and dialogic characteristics of the novella. The closing part pays attention to the textological issues - creating of an annotation system to the book. The novella is being related to other artist's work within each theme throughout the entire thesis.
Planar and wired Yagi-Uda antennas
Křepela, Pavel ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with the study of Yagi-Uda antennas, followed by analysis and design of planar antenna with wired reflector. The first part focused on the analysis of the antenna and parameters. Another part of the continuing investigation of the optimum parameters for a given antenna followed by a design in Wi-Fi 5 GHz band. The antenna is simulated in CST Microwave Studio. The final part devoted the results achieved
Design of projection illuminator
Přikrylová, Ivana ; Vacula, Daniel (referee) ; Antoš, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design a suitable reflector concentrating a light beam into a circular hole in a gobo. The light beam behind the screen should have good efficiency and at the same time good homogeneity. For the reflector design and analysis a software for designing optical systems called LightTools was used. The reflector was designed by six different methods. Several smooth and several faceted reflectors were designed. The selected reflector was analyzed in combination with a varifocal lens. For selected reflector was designed mechanical store with respect to the anticipated operating conditions. This thesis serves as the basis for the producing of the reflector.
Wideband Flat Antennas for 3D Radar
Füll, David ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The theme of this work is the design of flat broadband antennas. Designed antennas were: butterfly antenna, log-periodic antenna, Vivaldi antenna. The design was made in ANSYS HFSS. Models that meet the requirements were made and measured.

Landscape
Fuksová, Kristýna ; Daněk, Josef (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
The theme chosen for the dissertation is based on the research which deals with the question how to transform a real perception into abstraction. In a free way, I am inspired by my abstract paintings created through all my master's degree study. For a long time, the subject matter of my paintings has been the blending of structure, light and landscape. By gradual simplyfication and penetration of scenery motives with arquitecture and living nature, I try to create a complex piece of work. This abstract composition exposes always with particular impression of landscape's mood. It also stylizes a question, what we are focusing on and where we are looking, while being fascinated by the scenery - when staring into space.
Placement Optimization of Projector Lens
Bezděk, Matěj ; Važík, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of engineering design of holder of projector lens. The thesis is created in cooperation with department of development in Varroc Lighting Systems, s.r.o. Initial part provides a brief description of the development of lighting technology used in car´s headlamps. The following part describes solutions currently used in clamping the lens in holder. The main part of the thesis focuses on the design of holder of projector lens itself. Projector lenses testing provide critical values of cohesive failure of the lens material, which cannot be exceed during the process of lens fitting and its subsequent clamping. In the final part the engineering design is verified and optimized using finite element analysis.
Optimum layout of pressing line for the production of reflectors at Automotive Lighting
Šťastný, Michal ; Hrbáček, Jan (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimization of a press line part for the manufacture of reflectors present at the Automotive Lighting Company, Jihlava. The first part focuses on describing the current workplace layout of the press line. The workplaces are located inconveniently and thus require a larger number of operators and a considerable amount of manual work. The second part of the thesis proposes layout solutions for the injection presses and for other machine parts. At the same time, a smoother transition design is proposed for the press line and for the manufacturing section that follows. Based on an evaluation of selected criteria, the optimum version is chosen, thereby adding to the efficiency of the molding process by reducing the number of operators required, by lowering the proportion of manual work relative to other activities, and by limiting the risk of poor quality. The conclusion of the thesis sums up the necessary investment costs and offers an economic assessment of introducing the selected press line arrangement to operation.
The navigation system design for autonomous mobile robot.
Růžička, Michal ; Hrbáček, Jan (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of navigation system for autonomous mobile robots, which is based on the infrared light. The system is based on measuring the relavive angles using landmarks in the enviroment that make the robot can orient and recognize its absolute position in an environment in which it operates.
Control of headlight assembly line
Sikora, Martin ; Hynčica, Ondřej (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of the reflector assembly line. The document contains the analysis of the customer requirements sheet. In short there is written how to put the parts of the reflector together. The Poka-Yoke method is properly described in this work too. This method is used to design of the actions, which are trying to decrease the risk level of wrong reflector composition as low as it is possible. FMEA and PFMEA methods are explained in theory. There is the plan how to make the analysis too. The instrumentation of one part of the line is designed according to this analysis and according to the customer requirements. The OEE pointer is used to test the right effect of the Poka-Yoke method. The next aim of this thesis is to compare chosen PLCs for control of the assembly line and to choose one of them. On the base of the analysis there is designed the control program in the flowcharts form. One part of this thesis is focused on design of the visualization for the chosen operational panel.
