The preparation of biocompatible silver nanodispersions by the reduction of their solutions

The aim of the thesis was focused into the range of factors influencing the size of silver nanoparticles usable as antimicrobials prepared by Tollens method. This method is based on reduction reaction of silver salts or silver complexes with reduction agents. Mono-, oligo-, and polysacharides are regarded as the most useful compounds for this purpose with regard to their minimal toxicity and high biocompatibility. It was concluded that various hydrodynamic conditions realized via usual stirring by laboratory stirrer, or microwaves source action, or in relatively static conditions, don't influence the condensation process in the different extent. Temperature rising to 85 řC didn't influence the size of nanoparticles also. Polymers and oligomers, as polyvinylalcohol, starches, and polydextroses has been found as the very appropriate reduction agents. The prepared samples consisted of very fine nanoparticles, the size characteristics represented by intensity and volume diameters were in the order of units of nanometers, the polydispersity indexes were of very low values.

Security of emergency energy supply in the hospitals of the South Bohemian Region.

This diploma thesis is aimed at assessing the provision of emergency electric power supply to hospitals in South Bohemia. The chapter titled Present State briefly characterises the generation of electric power, the history of power plants in the Czech Republic, the power distribution system, it lists the basic elements of the power distribution system, including its stability and security. Among other things, it presents the term of blackout and its potential impact on the society. Furthermore, this chapter deals with the infrastructure in relation with the critical infrastructure and its history. At the end of this chapter, the functioning of health service is mentioned in relation to emergency situations, including the emergency sources used by hospitals. The research made use of the qualitative method of data collection and the data was acquired through the technique of controlled interviews and a secondary analysis of data from competent South Bohemian hospital staff who is responsible for or deal with the issue or providing emergency power supplies.

Molecular modelling - Structure and Properties of carbene-based catalyst

Molekulové modelování umožňuje předpovídat chování nových látek a napomáhá při jinak obtížné interpretaci experimentálních dat. Záměrem našeho studia byla predikce vybraných vlastností polymeračních katalyzátorů na bázi karbenů, predikce jejich struktur a spektrálních charakteristik. K ověření chování karbenů a jejich prekurzorů ve formě chloridů byly studovány vybrané charakteristiky molekuly. Byla provedena vizualizace vybraných molekulových orbitalů a map elektrostatických potenciálů a elektronových hustot. Následně pomocí počítačových programů byly získány teoretické vazebné délky a úhly vybraných imidazolových a imidazolinových sloučenin a z nich připravených karbenů. Data strukturně podobných, již charakterizovaných sloučenin, byla získána z CCDC (Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre) a následně konfrontována s námi vypočítanými daty. Byla změřena infračervená (IČ) a Ramanova spektra imidazolové soli a IČ spektrum příslušného karbenu. Tato spektra byla konfrontována s napredikovanými.

Role of social worker in a hospital

The diploma thesis is focused on the main activities of the social workers at the hospitals in Prague, the regional hospitals, and one former district hospital. Within the theoretical section of the abstract there are clearly defined fundamental concepts of social work in health care and its historical transformation. The chapters consist of four sections: ethics code, the quality of social work at the hospital, valid legislation, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the hospital. The theoretical part focuses on job description, competencies, skills or personality characteristics of the social worker in the hospital. The last section describes social work in the hospitals by different target groups with whom the social workers can come into contact. The empirical part of this diploma thesis is acquired by the semistructured interviews. The main research question tries to find out the role of the social worker at the hospital. The research targets three surveyed areas: The first examines the qualification skills of the social worker at the hospital. The second refers to the job description of the social worker at the hospital's core business activities. The shooting accuracy of junior basketball in different levels ( regional league, junior league)\\

In my thesis I have been dealing with shooting accuracy of juniors in Bohemia Poděbrady in regional league. The aim of my work was to find out the effectivenes of shooting during matches, from particular positions and distance. The data were gained from technical records during one season period. The gathered data were compared with the results of technical records of juniors playing the first junior league and with the results of a shooting test in noncompetitive conditions. The examined group contained thirty players. Obtained results will be used for improvement of shooting training of juniors in Bohemia Poděbrady and can be the basement for works of similar kind.

The Occupational Links of the Neck Pain - the Analysis of Risk Factors.

Název: Profesionální souvislosti bolestí krční páteře - analýza rizikových faktorů The professionallinks ofcervical vertebrae pains- the analysis ofrisk factors Cíl práce: Cílem mé diplomové práce je zjistit při jakém zaměstnání lidé nejčastěji trpí bolestmi krční páteře, analyzovat profesionální rizikové faktory, včetně posouzení vlivu psychiky na bolesti krční páteře. Cílem je také zjistit, zda hodnocené osoby (probandi) vědí a dělají vše proto, aby ve svém zaměstnání bolesti krční páteře co nejvíce eliminovali. Metoda: Průzkum byl proveden u klientů SLL Janské Lázně, kteří mají diagnostikovaný VAS krční páteře. Zkoumaný soubor obsahoval 50 probandů v průměrném věku 42,4 let. Metoda průzkumu byla provedena formou dotazníku. Dotazovaní jedinci obdrželi dotazník, který byl rozdělen na tři základní části. V první části se otázky týkají osobních údajů. Druhá část zahrnuje otázky, které jsou zaměřeny na zaměstnání, jeho charakter a na psychickou náročnost. Třetí část zahrnuje otázky týkající se charakteristiky běžného života. Získaná data byla zpracována a použita pro závěry této diplomové práce. Výsledky: Z vyhodnocení ankety je patrné, že největší hodnocenou skupinou, která trpí bolestivostí krční páteře v zaměstnání jsou prqfese, které většinu pracovní doby sedí (50%). Impact of Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma Practical on leanness level of organizations in Czech Republic

The aim of this work is to determine a methodology to measure the leanness level of the organizations that have an internship in the framework of the minor specialization of Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma at University of Economics. The theoretical part of the Thesis presents issues of Lean Six Sigma methodology, describes basic characteristics and main Lean Six Sigma tools. The Thesis also describes process of a research, on which was applied the proposed measurement methodology of an internship impact on organizations. The research methodology describes leanness measurement approach, process of data collection and its subsequent analysis and evaluation. The last chapter includes conclusion of results, suggestions and recommendations to improve Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma Practical.

Significant factors influencing the social rehabilitation of mentally ill

Mental illness significantly influences all aspects of life. Mental health care goes beyond horizons of medicine and becomes the object of interest of society-wide importance. This thesis is devoted to people with a psychotic disorder. It is focused on their subjective view of themselves, human relations and perspectives of their lives. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines basic concepts and characteristics of psychotic disorders. Social problems of human life with psychotic illness, self-stigmatization question and the impact of the disease on family members is summarized in the next section. Following part is devoted to the status of the mentally ill in society, social issues connected with mental illness, their life perspective and communication problems which face mentally ill persons. End of theoretical part deals with the areas of complex psychiatric, psychosocial and community care, including psychiatric care reform, which is currently being very slowly implemented. The practical part includes qualitative research aims, research questions and methods of data collection. The research group consisted of people with psychotic illness. The data were obtained through interviews. The resulting audio data have been transferred by verbatim transcription into written form and processed by open coding. Subsequently, all data were analyzed and interpreted most complex and interrelated in story form.
