Assess the current state of nutrition of horses in the specific stables and proposal optimal doses according to the their performance
Burcalová, Helena ; Mudřík, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Václav, Václav (referee)
This work deals with calculations of feed rations of selected thoroughbred horses at the High School of Horse Racing in Prague together with an assessment of economic aspects of horse feeding. The school is mainly focused on the education of jockeys, which means that the work with horses has to conform to the school requirements that need not meet the ideal feeding rhythm of the horses. United Kingdom norms were compared to the selected Czech norms. Focus was mainly on the racing season, which provides direct comparison of the feed rations with the horses results in the races. The racing season has the highest energetic requirements that need to take into account not only the requirements for the races themselves but also for the resting periods. Feed rations were measured and fed in precise time intervals. Main feeds were oats, hay, bran and Spillers feeds. During the assessment period a negative side - effect of high temperatures during consecutive heat - wave periods was observed. This aspect may prove important in the future and needs to be taken into account not only for feeding but for the entire horse training. Out of five examined horses, exceedance of digestible energy requirements was observed with two horses and underestimation with one horse. For two of them the anomaly was in norm. However, the horse with the highest exceedance was experiencing difficulties with feeding, always leaving a part of the ration intact. This made it necessary to adapt the rations to a higher figure than calculated. Economic aspect of horse feeding needs to be taken into account. The feeding expenses can be decreased by a suitable selection of a feeding mix, however the savings in this regard are not fundamental.

Assesment of suitability of different propagation substrates and methods for Taxus x media and Magnolia 'Suzanne'
Petránková, Jana ; Tolar, Václav (advisor) ; Kofránková, Věra (referee)
his thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part, in which there is information obtained from literature, where I focused on plant propagation methods, describing the general řízkovaných species and their method of propagation, also gave describing the particular cultivar. Furthermore, the substrates, enhancers, their composition and use. Buildings used in horticulture, atomizing řízkovaných plants, or fungi. The practical part evaluates the results obtained by performing an experiment in gardening Ornamental nursery Jasová. The experiment was conducted in two consecutive years and in summer the proliferation of Magnolia'Susan' and winter multiplication Taxus x media'Hickii'. It was assumed rozdílnos of rise products on two sites množárenských which was plastic greenhouse and glass, on each another at different substrate, in river sand and řízkovacím substrate. The aim of the experiment was to find out what conditions they grow best propagated species. The results are showed small differences between trials at Magnolia'Susan' results were significantly better substrate, which was probably caused by Trichoderma, which promotes rooting cuttings. The variant Magnolia cuttings in the sand and placed in a plastic greenhouse plants were dying due to lack of irrigation and high permeability of the sand. Taxus was cuttings in winter and thus avoid Underwatering pulp prior to the formation of callus and roots. Therefore, this method has been successful, but the total amount ujmutých plants was lower than Magolia.

Šťastná, Anna-Marie ; Prášilová, Marie (advisor) ; Anna, Anna (referee)
The diploma work provides an analysis and comparison of the development in apiculture (bee-keeping) and of its present state in the Czech Republic and Germany. Attention with regard to apiculture is mostly paid to the two neighbouring regions: Ústí nad Labem Region and The Free State of Saxony. The practical part first discusses the major guidelines in the development and status of apiculture both in the Czech Republic and Germany on the one hand, and in the Ústí nad Labem Region and Saxony on the other. Particular attention is given to the indices of quantification of beekeepers and bee colonies, the overall annual honey production and the average annual honey production per one bee colony. Attention is also given to the indices of the average honey consumption in both countries, to foreign trade in which honey is the commodity and to the rate of fund raising in support of bee keeping. The statistical data were provided by Czech beekeepers union, Regional Authority of the Usti Region, German Beekeepers Association, Federal Ministry of Food and Agricuture and the Saxon State Ministry for Enviroment and Agriculture. The diploma work, according to the obtained statistic data, offers a prediction of the future development in apiculture, again with regards to the two regions discussed. The final part and the conclusions contain suggestions and recommendations concerning the development of apiculture in the Czech Republic and in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Evaluation of growth and fertility in chosen columnar apple-tree varieties
Brázdová, Ludmila ; Zíka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Súkeníková, Tereza (referee)
This paper deals with the evaluation of growth and fertility in selected apple varieties. I will discuss the range of columnar apple trees, which represent a further step in the development of growing shapes. Eleven different varieties grafted onto two different rootstocks was assessed. Planting was establish in the spring of 2013, the clamp 3 x 0,8 m. The trees were planted as a two-year vaccinees. The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare the increase in trunk diameter, the intensity of growth and yield of selected columnar apple varieties, before and after the end of their vegetation. It was necessary to evaluate the cross-sectional area strain in (cm2), increase in cross-sectional area strain in (cm2), average fruit weight (g), crown height (m), absolute yield (kg) per tree, specific yield on (cm2) cross-sectional area, yield (kg) on increase in area strain, area yield (t / ha) and specific yield on the crown height (kg / m). In the theoretical part I will deal with the history of apple growing and growing development of various shapes, characteristics of apple trees, their significance and composition. Further I will discuss demands on the growing the apple tree and its treating. At the same time I will mention the major diseases and pests. At the end of this part I will describe harvesting methods and proper storage. The practical part is focused on the experiment itself and its subsequent evaluation. I will mention the location and characteristics of the habitat where the apple tree grew. I will describe specific columnar varieties and rootstocks used. I will characterize the specific location of the varieties grown and the activities that were implemented during the evaluation period of the experiment. In conclusion, the results have been evaluated, to which I arrived during the entire measurements. This part contains the observed values displayed in two tables. For a better overview of the data obtained and the results they are displayed graphically. At the end there is a complete summary of the whole work. For the most of the results it has been proved that a base affects the intensity of growth and yield. The biggest growth area strain (cm2) had a variety 'Cumulus' on rootstock M 26, but on the rootstock M 9 the increase was significantly lower. When assessing absolute yield the highest values were observed in a variety 'Red Spring' on rootstock M 26, followed by the yield of variety 'Slendera' on rootstock M 26. The lowest yield was observed in cultivar 'Cumulus' on M 9. In these cases, we can confirm the influence of rootstock of variety. When evaluating the specific yield on increase strain the highest yield was at varieties 'Red Spring' on M 26, followed by a variety 'Slendera', where the yield was greater on the rootstock M 9. Here it is impossible to unequivocally confirm that the rootstock M 26 has a higher yield than the rootstock M 9.

Use of Educational Programs in the Care of Cardiac Patients.
SOUKUPOVÁ, Lenka
The topic of the bachelor´s work is Utilization of the educational plans in the care of cardiac patients. Heart & blood vessels diseases belong to the civilisation diseases. Circular system diseases are the most frequent cause of death in the advanced countries of the western civilisation, including the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is focused on heart and blood vessels anatomy, ischemic cardiac disease, education, the methods and forms of education of cardiac patients, where dietary measures, physical burden in cardiac patients, the possibility of balneotherapy and other recommendations for cardiac patients are described. The bachelor´s work has two goals Goal 1. To find out whether education of cardiac patients is being done in selected cardio centres, who provides the education, whether they have educational plans in the selected cardio centres and whether they utilize them and what is the effect of the education. Goal 2. To create and realize an own educational plan in cardio centre at hospital in České Budějovice. For these goals, 6 research questions have been set. RQ 1. Is education of cardiac patients being done in the selected cardio centres? RQ 2. Does the nurse participate in the education? RQ 3. Do they have an educational plan in the selected cardio centres? RQ 4. Do they utilize the educational plan in the selected cardio centres? RQ5. Does the education of cardiac patients have a positive effect in keeping regime and curative measures? RQ 6. Is the created educational plan going to have an effect on the knowledge and skills of a patient? A qualitative form of research, by the technique of semi-standardised interview has been used for the achievement of the goals. The research set consisted of 8 selected cardio centres and 8 cardiac patients who were hospitalized at hospital in České Budějovice. After the qualitative research has been conducted, answers were acquired. Answer 1: Education of cardiac patients is being done in all cardio centres. Answer No.2: General nurse takes part in the education of cardiac patients. Answer No.3: Only 3 out of 8 selected cardio centres have an educational plan created. Answer No.4: Most of the cardio centres don´t have an educational plan created. An educational plan is utilized only in 3 cardio centres where they have created it. Answer No.5: The education of cardiac patients has a positive effect in keeping curative and regime measures. Answer No.6 The created educational plan has a positive influence on the knowledge and skills of patients. There was only 1 patients where the educational plan had no effect, 4 patients started to change their food habits. It is very important that the people know the risk factors of ischemic heart diseases and the possibilities of prevention. A properly conducted education will mediate this information to people and therefore it would be suitable to train the medical staff working in the cardio centre at Hospital in České Budějovice, for an education of cardiac patients. I think that the created educational plan could be used for the education of cardiac patients at Hospital in České Budějovice
