Methamphetamine users and stress
FILIPOVÁ, Zuzana
The diploma thesis called "Stress among Methamphetamine Users" focuses on the phenomenon of stress in general, but especially on the strategies of coping with stressful situations. These so-called coping strategies are given great attention in contemporary research. The thesis inquires into the development of the Czech drug scene and particularly focuses on methamphetamine as a typical "Czech drug". It describes the period of methamphetamine early expansion in the Czech drug scene, the subsequent period of radical intervention of justice and police into the resulting socially unbearable situation, and the recent respective state of affairs. It also deals with the risks associated with the use of methamphetamine and the various forms of its application. In this respect it logically gives attention to the issue of drug addiction in general and the methamphetamine addiction in particular. An indispensable part of the thesis is a description of the phenomenon of stress according to selected distinguished experts in this area Paulík (2010), Baštecká (2009) a Joshi (2007). The initial discussion of specifically defined and operationalized stress is followed by a discussion of coping in general. First, the emergence of coping is discussed. The theoretical section provides definitions of various scientifically developed coping strategies and deals with the situation around the SVF 78 instrument as well as with the stress coping strategies and the phenomenon of stress itself. The section discusses different coping strategies and identifies their respective pitfalls as well as their influence on people from the holistic model viewpoint. The theoretical section is concluded with the topic of social work with drug addicts and its basic pillars. Describes the aims, research questions and hypotheses of the thesis. Two aims were selected for the thesis: "to find out which coping strategies are used by methamphetamine users" and "to find out how coping strategies change over a prolonged period of methamphetamine use". Three research questions and four associated hypotheses were formulated on the basis of these aims. The hypotheses are operationalized in this chapter. The methodological section discusses the SVF 78 instrument which was used to gather data from drug addicted respondents. The data were gathered in contact centres in South Bohemia via quantitative strategy of data gathering. Next, the research sample consisting of 50 respondents and the ethical aspects of the research are described. An indispensable part of the section is also a description of the statistical methods used for data evaluation. Next chapter, called "Results", describes the research sample with respect to respondents' sex, with the actual ratio being 54 percent of female respondents and 46 percent of male respondents. The respondents' age is described here as well together with an average age, median and standard deviations. Another thing mentioned is respondents' time period of methamphetamine use and their highest achieved education. The discussion section focuses on obtained results and their comparison with actual researches. Despite very interesting results it is necessary to assert that none of the hypotheses was statistically verified. However, analysis of similar studies leads us to a discovery of an analogous problem. The most interesting study in this regards appears to be Konopka et al. (2013) which found no significant differences in coping strategies adopted by benzodiazepine users. In spite of this it is possible to point at frequency differences which were found among methamphetamine users. They were found in particular with respect to the relation between negative coping strategies ratio and period time of methamphetamine use, where negative coping strategies were preferred by respondents using methamphetamine for more than 11 years etc. The concluding section summarizes the research results and reflects on the aims of the thesis.

Current Feedback Circuits for Analog Signal Processing
Stehlík, Jiří ; Bartoň,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dostál, Tomáš (referee) ; Musil, Vladislav (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with design of new functional blocks usable in area of analogue signal processing, focusing on sensor signal processing. Versatility of these circuits will find applications in programmable analogue array structures that will be possible to control and configure via a digital signal. Hereby build-up array would be fully a reconfigurable digital control system for sensor signal processing and usable for a wide range of different sensors. It offers possibility to build-up a control code for each specific sensor system, with which it would be possible to achieve optimal results of the entire system and consequently place the system on a chip. The presented programmable array is designed from configurable analogue blocks. The current feedback circuits, which in a suitable configuration can operate in voltage or current mode, are used here. This allows to achieve very good results in the systems with very low power supply, which is closely associated with mobility and autonomous behavioral (that are very important and observed parameters today) of the entire sensor-based framework. The work deals in detail with particular blocks, which are described theoretically and evaluated for using in the programmable analogue array. Design of the structure of programmable analogue array as well the use of these circuits in the part of whole system (that will be realized on a chip) are presented at the end of this thesis.

The Influence of Dynamic Stretching to the Immediate Enforcement
SVOBODA, Vojtěch
The work is focused on the evaluation of the impact of two types of stretching on subsequent performance. With regard to the content can be divided into practical and theoretical. A practical part brings relevant knowledge to solve problems. Attention is given to the anatomy of the muscle fiber, the physiology of muscle contraction and muscle connections with the central nervous system. The study also describes the proprioceptive function of muscles, the anatomical dimensions and principles of operation. In connection with the internal control possibilities stretching the muscles are in the theoretical part also describes the reflexes at the level of the muscle fiber. General principles of stretching can be found in this section too. The following is a detailed resolution types of stretching and their implementation, advantages and disadvantages. At the end of the theoretical part describes general contraindications stretching and hypermobility as one of the risk factors. The second part belonged to practical research. The research aims to answer the question: "Which type of stretching before exercise has a better effect on the actual performance?" For this purpose we selected eight active athletes. After showing of concrete stretching workouts were tested person familiar with the disciplines in which the effect of stretching measured. It was a 40 yard sprint, a specific form of the shuttle run, jump from a place in the distance and the implementation of push-ups without stopping to find the maximum number of times. These disciplines have been always performed after the application of one type of stretching, with a minimum range of measurement was determined at 24 hours, for reasons of objectivity research. Overall, each activity was measured four times - twice after the static and twice after the dynamic stretching. Research records the individual variations in the measured values after the static and dynamic stretching in all tests. For better clarity, the deviations from the established arithmetic averages referring to the average positive and negative deviations. The resulting values are then captured in tables, graphically and verbally explained. All the four measurements showed analogous results. In the first three disciplines is a better determination of the dynamic type of stretching due to the relatively higher performance of individual activities. For Sprint and the shuttle run times were recorded less necessary to overcome the distance. At the same time was also significantly better in negative average deviation of the measured times after dynamic stretching. The last tested motion became workout pushups without rest for the maximum number of repetitions achieved. Based on this research it is not possible to determine the appropriate method of preparation for discipline. Implementation of push ups assigns power-endurance nature. Due to the relatively clear results for the other, short-term activities associated with the maximum of performance, it seems clear that the type of stretching manifests a greater impact with this type of load compared to strength-endurance exercise in the form of push-ups. Chapter titled "Discussion" is again divided into two parts. In the first analysis is made of the results and conclusions with regard to possible opposition view on objectivity of measurement. Research is generally considered as the objective and the results are accorded legitimacy. In the second part of the discussion are the conclusions obtained subject to comparison with other international studies that have looked at the impact of these types of stretching at the same or a similar discipline. Given the above facts and research itself can be considered for answering the research question. Short-term disciplines carried out with maximum intensity can be demonstrated dynamic stretching before the actual performance for better compared to static stretching.

Soft drinks and their effects on health
Ramstad, Gunnar Alexander Wilson ; Anděl, Michal (advisor)
The consumption of soft drinks has increased manifold over the last decades. In parallel to this increase it has been noticed an increase in health problems, especially obesity. Dentists continue to urge their patients not to drink soft drinks, and there has also been suggested a link between soft drink consumption and osteoporosis, hypokalemia and diabetes mellitus 2. Other additives, like caffeine, have been associated with headaches, restlessness and trouble with sleeping. Although more research is needed to confirm these relationships, many scientists suggest that we should start taking action to prevent children from developing the habits of large soft drink consumption we witness today. This could be accomplished by cooperation between parents, health practitioners, school system and government.

The Church of St Mauritius
Bartová, Veronika ; Kuthan, Jiří (advisor) ; Homolka, Jaromír (referee)
1 SUMMARY Church of St Mauritius The Bachelor's thesis on the Church of St Mauritius pursues the history of the Sušice region and the associated reign of the Counts of Bogen, the medieval communications in South-West Bohemia, history of the village of Mouřenec, description, architectonic and historical study of the Church of St Mauritius, as well as ground-plan disposition analogies to the church of St Mauritius in Bavaria and Upper Austria. The Counts of Bogen significantly influenced the history of the Czech Kingdom and mainly the history of the Sušice region. This noble family was close-knit with the Premyslide dynasty, both by marriages and assistance in armed conflicts. During their rule until their die- out in 1242, the Counts of Bogen built up a considerable territory that became one of the most important basis for the territory ruled by the Wittelsbachs. We can learn more about the Šumava paths since the 11th century, from where origin the first verified records. According to these written records, the oldest paths across the Šumava Mountains are the St Vintíř Path and the Golden Path. These historical paths connected Bohemia with the Danubian regions around Regensburg (St Vintíř Path) and around Passau (Golden Path). The Church of St Mauritius is situated on a perch above the Otava River near the...

Treatment of peptic ulcer
Sakač, Jiří ; Hrdina, Radomír (referee) ; Tilšer, Ivan (advisor)
Topic: Treatment of peptic ulcers Autor: Jiří Sakač Peptic ulcers represent one of the most widespread gastrointestinal disease all over the world. It occurs the most in the middle and high aged people. It is a multifactorial disease, which is developed by dysbalanc between agresive and protective factors. Its occurrence and incidence is associated with presence of the infection Helicobacter pylori in gastrointestinal tract. H. pylori is the main risk faktor for a diverse spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases, and it makes first damage of mucous membrane. Comprehensive individual treatment consist of non-pharmacological lifestyle modification and pharmacological treatment. In the treatment, there are used drugs, which inhibite secretions of the agresive hydrochloric acid (H2-receptor antagonist, proton pumps inhibitors), cytoprotective drugs (sucralfat, bismut`s salts, syntetic analogs of prostaglandins) and drugs for eradication of H. pylori - antibiotics and chemoterapeutics. Accurate diagnosis, timely and efective treatment reduce a risk of recurrence and the complications; which can endanger patient's life (bleeding, penetration, perforation); and they can accelerate final healing most of the ulcers.
