Strain stress analysis of BS splint
Řehák, Kamil ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with strain-stress analysis of hip joint together with the final applied total endoprosthesis with Burch-Schneider cage. The main point of my work was to find the solution of stress–strain analysis state, which has been mentioned before in connection with Burch-Schneider cage. I describe the technique of geometric creation of whole body system, component´s materials or conditions which are neccessary for calculation. In coclusion there are results achieved in variants. In the first option the case of bone tissue was considered, which don’t reach degradation mechanical properties effect straining under Burch-Schneider cage. In some cases when the bone tissue is untimely forced, the necrosis of bone tissue takes place under Burch-Schneider cage. This possibility is described in the second option of type. For every option there was a case which was calculated with applied screw or without it. In all option mechanical features of cancellous bone tissue and their change influence on achieved results were considered. This problem was solved computational simulation in commercial software Ansys Workbench 12.0.

Using DEA models to assess efficiency of public transport
Hanousek, Jakub ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Soldatyuk, Nataliya (referee)
This thesis deals with using DEA models to assess efficiency of the bus public transport in the Czech Republic regions. It is a method based on linear programming used to measuring efficiency of units. The main problem of public transport is the constant pressure to increase subsidies into this sector whilst the efficiency decreases. In the theoretical part of thesis, there will be explained the term 'efficiency' and will be introduced the basic principles of data envelopment analysis method including the mathematical formulations of the classic and modified DEA models, which will be then used in the practical part. The analysis of the resulting efficiency rates of all the different regions will be carried out with respect to the regions' specific characteristics. In the conclusion the optimal values will be proposed.

Public awareness of drug problems in České Budějovice district
KOZLOVÁ, Lucie
ABSTRACT Addictive drugs are all around us and they have become a part of our lives. The issue of drug abuse is of critical importance, global, and difficult to solve. Typically, drugs are categorized as tolerated or not tolerated by society, and more or less risky. It is vital, therefore, to know the attitude of public to the issue. Lots of drug abuse causes have already been revealed, just like the reasons why some users develop addiction while others do not. In all probability the abuse of drugs or the addiction development cannot be put down to a single background factor. Everything will depend on personality traits of the individual, on his or her environmental conditions, and on specific effects of the drug. Since I take much interest in these issues, I have chosen for my thesis the subject of Public awareness of drug abuse issues in the District of České Budějovice. I investigated what people knew about drug abuse at the District where I live; their opinions of drug abuse; whether they believed that drug abuse deteriorated social position of an individual; whether they believed it boosted the rate of crime; if people were informed about facilities assisting recovery from drug addiction within the District of České Budějovice; and, last but not least, whether they suspected what drugs could come in their way here. The thesis aimed to examine what people knew about the drug abuse issues in the České Budějovice District. This objective has been met. Fifty three percent of respondents were found well informed on the subject, while the remaining 47% lacked the information. The survey was to prove or disprove hypothesis that the public was unaware of organizations providing help to drug addicts - the hypothesis was not confirmed since 51% of respondents were informed about the relevant organizations and 49% were not. Another hypothesis predicted that the public could not tell the illegal drugs from the legal ones - it was not confirmed as the public was found sufficiently informed. The hypotheses expecting the public to believe that drug abuse drives crime and deteriorates the addict's social position were confirmed by the bulk of respondents living in the District of České Budějovice. Ninety nine percent of the respondents believed the drug abuse pushed up the crime rate and 95% were of the opinion that it affected the addict's social position. As follows from the survey, the public in the České Budějovice District was relatively well informed of the drug abuse issues, though the differences encountered between awareness and unawareness of the subject were just minor. I intend to release the thesis as an information source for the general public(in the form of brochures, internet publications or periodicals); moreover, I want to offer the results to organizations engaged in the drug abuse treatment and to students of the University of South Bohemia to serve as training material. The public will find a wealth of important drug-related information in the paper, while the addiction treating organizations will be prompted to fill the gaps still existing in information available to the general public.

Work motivation of employees in helping professions in the ARPIDA Centre, and the Libnič Home and Empatie Centre
DRDOVÁ, Ivana
Work motivation of employees in helping professions in the ARPIDA Centre, Libnič Home and Empatie Centre The thesis solves the motivation problems in choice of helping professions. In theoretical part I dealt with a question what is the mason for a person to perform helping professions. This job is of considerable attraction that can be the reason why an employee can perform this exhausting work even at lower financial evaluation than what is offered at some other professions. Important is that helping is undoubtedly meaningful activity for lots of people. Helping person concerns important life questions and problems of real people. The aim of practical part is monitoring of satisfaction in people working at state( Libnič Home and Empatie Centre) and non-state (Arpida Centre) institution including system of burn-out prevention. Supposed hypotheses: 1. Workers of monitored centers are despite of their lower financial evaluation satisfied with their jobs. 2. Motivation for choice of helping professions are the same both in state and non-state institutions. 3. Workers of monitored centres are informed on rules of psychohygiene in performing the helping professions. The research confirmed first and third hypotheses. The second hypothesis was not confirmed. In order to prove the hypotheses I used a form of quantitative questioning. The data collection proceeded with questioning method, technique of questionnaire. This thesis could be used at organizations where monitoring was carried out. It also can serve as a manual for people working in helping professions and centres of social service.

In the history the care of people with a mental health problems was going through a lot of changes. Most of the people were accepted as a part of a society. The family and a local community had been taken care of them. Only a small part of people with a mental health problems had been banished or kept in prison. With the beginning of a modern period the people with a mental illness have devoted and segregated in a large extent. The psychiatri and care for disordered people occured rapid developement in 20th century. In the 50's the psychiatric institution had been closing down in a many advanced countries. Institutional care was replaced with a out-patient and comunity care services. The main target of a community care is to help to the people with a mental illness so they can live in a naturally neighbourhood. The Great Britain has ranked among countries with a along tradition of community care. The broad range of services in the domain of living, employment and a leisure time arised here. The attitude to disordered people was also changed. In the Czech republic the community work set up to apply in 90's. Since the time the big progress was reached. Nevertheless the institutional care is still being preferred. The community care concur at traditional community values and it is established on esteem to...
