Interrogation tactics Abstract The submitted diploma thesis deals with the interrogation as a criminalistic procedure. The statement is obtained from interrogated persons by means of interrogation. The statement is a source of important knowledge of a crime. A crime can be successfully elucidated on the basis of knowledge. The aim of the diploma thesis is to sort knowledge of the interrogation, the interrogation tactics and the tactical interrogation procedures from the point of view of criminal law, criminalistics and psychology. The thesis is divided into five separate chapters. The first chapter is conceived from the point of view of criminal law. First chapter deals with the regulation of interrogation in the Czech Criminal Procedure Code and with the rights and obligations of the interrogated persons. The second and third chapters are the focus of this diploma thesis. Chapters deal with the preparation of the interrogation, the phases of the interrogation, the inquiries asked during the interrogation and the tactical interrogation procedures. My intention is to demonstrate how to perform tactical procedures correctly and legally. This paper deals with interrogation tactics. Using the descriptive-analytical and comparative methods, the aim of this thesis is to analyze the interviewing and the interrogation tactics in the Czech Republic. In some parts of my thesis, these tactics are compared with foreign approaches (particularly the United States and the United Kingdom). The work is continuously connected with the practice through examples from the real interrogation protocols. These interrogations which are in anonymous form anonymous form have been provided by the National Anti-Organized Crime Center and come from a five-year old investigation of an organized group that has committed, especially abroad, crimes against life and health. The diploma thesis is divided into five main parts, introduction and conclusion. The individual parts are divided for better orientation in the text into individual chapters and subchapters. Criminal, criminological and criminalistic aspects of injured person's interrogation

This thesis is dealing with the criminal interrogation of injured person from criminal, criminalistic and criminological aspect and emphasizes the issue of secondary victimization. It contains an examination of the terms injured person, victim of crime and criminal interrogation, then is dealing with methods and tactics of questioning with specific issues involved in injured person's matter. The thesis describes changes in Czech system of law caused by the Statute of victims of crime. On particular cases based on author's research the thesis shows how can wrongly managed questiong leads to secondary victimization of victim, and offers solutions of particular problems involved in criminal interrogation of injured person.
The interrogation practice and solution methods of child abuse investigators

This diploma thesis is comprised of a theoretical section and a practical section. The first theoretical subchapter introduces the CAN syndrome. The second theoretical subchapter focuses on the relevant international and national child protection legislation. The third subchapter "Child Interrogation" deals with the issue of the historical development of child interrogation techniques and methods, and the currently recommended interrogation techniques used to interrogate children in keeping with the Act on Criminal Judicial Procedure No. 141/1961 in the Czech Republic. The third subchapter also concerns with the character traits of the investigator, the qualification requirements of this profession and the fundamental methodology used to prevent a child's secondary victimisation. The fourth theoretical subchapter focuses on the specially designed interrogation room used, among others, for child interrogation. Title of thesis: The Specifics of Children Interrogation Keywords: child, interrogation Summary The thesis deals with special processes and methods typical for interrogation of children. In Czech penal law a child is a person under eighteen years old. Because of differences deriving from yet undeveloped mental capabilities and still ongoing proces of psychological development, interrogation of a child must follow strict guidelines and must be conducted in considerate manner. The aim of the thesis is to describe the basic rules of conducting interrogation of a child with references to every stage of child development and how those stages affect interrogation of a child. The thesis also marginally deals with phenomena of children's lies and children's suggestibility, since both of these are directly linked to interrogation of a child. First chapter of the thesis defines basic concepts later used in the thesis, such as forensic evidence, testimonial evidence, interrogation and child. Those concepts are defined in terms of criminology and jurisprudence. Second chapter of the thesis deals with legal aspects of interrogation of a child. The purpose of my thesis is to explore and discuss interrogation tactics. Interrogation tactics is a concept that includes various methods used by interrogators to reach the goal of the interrogation, which is true and full testimony. Considering the extent of the topic, I am focusing more closely on the techniques used for the purpose of overcoming false testimony. The thesis is composed of nine chapters. In the opening chapters I explain the concept of interrogation from three perspectives - from the perspective of criminology, psychology and law. These chapters also describe different types of interrogation, as well as the process of documentation and the process of formation of testimony. The fifth chapter recognizes the issues of the preparation phase and its division into analytic and synthetic part. In this chapter I also emphasize the importance of expert and thorough preparation in order to ensure a successful interrogation. The sixth chapter presents three consecutive phases of interrogation, which are the initial phase and the phases of monologue and dialogue. Interaction investigator with selected participants of criminal proceedings and its impact on based recognition

(in English): The thesis "Interaction of police investigators with selected participants of criminal proceedings and its impact on recognition" is studies the interaction and communication of criminal proceeding participants and its influence on the quality of those proceedings on recognition. The theoretical part deals with criminal proceedings such as all the trial requirements and factors which affect police investigation. Rights and responsibilities of all participants of trials are defined. Furthermore, communication, its types and categories and -most of all -its impact on successful police interrogation is examined. We also mention interpersonal perception. The theoretical part deals with criminal proceedings such as all the trial requirements and factors which affect police investigation. Rights and responsibilities of all participants of trials are defined. Furthermore, communication, its types and categories and -most of all -its impact on successful police interrogation is examined. In conclusion of the theoretical part we describe the aspects which control the investigation and potential offender recognition. In the empirical part the aim was to find out what impact the quality of instructions has on successful offender recognition in simultaneous and combined format. The empirical part was performed in an experiment. The research participants were devided into categories according to chosen standards. Then they were presented with a video recording of a criminal offence followed by recognition. We targeted at discovering whether the instructions and the way they are given influence the results of recognition.

Cizojazyčné resumé The diploma thesis deals with the methods of investigation of sexual crimes. Because the topic is too broad I've decided to focus only on selected issues of methods of investigation of child sexual abuse. Investigation of child sexual abuse is very specific in comparison to other sexual crimes. During the investigation the child victim must be handled very sensitively in order to avoid secondary victimization. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the specifics of investigation of child sexual abuse and other problems connected with it. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to historical and current legal regulations of child sexual abuse. At the same time it describes occurrence of this crime in the area of the Czech Republic. The second chapter provides criminalistics characteristic of child sexual abuse. The chapter consists of three parts. The first one is dedicated to the typical ways of committing this crime with focus on cybergrooming. The second part describes different types of perpetrators and also specifics of female perpetrators. The third part deals with victims of crimes and it is focused on short-term and long-term consequences of child sexual abuse.
