Crossroads model
Záviš, Jan ; Roman, Foukal (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor thesis is The Model of Crossroads Systems with Light Signals. My bachelor thesis is divided into 3 parts. The first one is a theory where the issue of crossroads is described, especially focuses on light's signals. I have described specific ways of control and methods of realization such crossroads. Furthermore, project is focused on theirs timing of traffic fluency. The thesis also describes the hook-up of individual crossings not to avoid collapse in roads and traffics will be fluent. This is connected with changes in time delays depending on the traffic situation, for example rush hour. In addition, there is a general description of the crossroads as well, their division, advantages and disadvantages. The second part is focused on the design of a demonstration panel that will help as learning tools in the laboratory. This chapter contains a graphic design of a panel, a design of a control system scheme, a design of a PCB for a control system and the realization of a physical demonstration panel. In the project the issue of selecting a suitable source for the control system is analyzed. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the design of a universal code, which will serve as a template for various kinds of intersections. Finally, the issue of the initial recovery is addressed. Here comes the connection of the panel with the programmable automaton and the subsequent program upload.

LPC Speech Coding
Zapletal, Ondřej ; Kyselý, František (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The contents of the thesis "LPC speech coding" are studies of this method of a parametric source coding, explanation of mathematical procedures that are used in it (linear prediction, autocorrelation, Levinson-Durbin algorithm, transfer to a form suitable for transmission, Chebyshev root searching polynomial method) and acquaintance with the signification and application of that method in real speech encoders. The task of the original project of this thesis is a description and simulation of a simple speech encoder based on LPC, which transforms a real speech signal into a bit flow, which contains all of the significant parameters for its backward reconstruction (LSF coefficients, pitch period, excitation level, voice detection - AMDF method). One part of this thesis is a discussion about currently used speech encoders.
