Analysis of the public passenger transport in the session Brno – Prague

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of public passenger transport between two Czech largest cities, Brno and Prague. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I first define some key terms in the field of transport and then I focus on the main point of this part, which is legislation regarding public transport in the Czech Republic. The following practical part consists mainly of the analysis of the offered links of individual carriers and the subsequent comparison and evaluation of what is the most advantageous possibility for the customers. At the end of the thesis I mention trends that can affect the transport between these cities in the future. The overall objective of the thesis is to provide analysis of rail and bus public transport in the mentioned session.

New Trends in Container Transport

The bachelor thesis is focused on the container transport between the port in Hamburg and container terminals in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to confirm or disprove a hypothesis that the port can play an important part in diversification of Czech exports which was set as an objective in the Export Strategy of the Czech Republic. The first chapter deals with international trade of the Czech Republic with overseas countries. It also describes intermodal type of transport and introduces the port of Hamburg. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to transport modes which can be used to transport containers from the Czech Republic to the port. There are analysed rail, road and inland waterway transport.

The evolution of competition in personal rail and personal bus transport on the Prague – Brno route

The bachelor thesis focuses on personal railway and personal bus transport on the Prague - Brno route. The thesis is divided into two parts - theory and practical. The theory parts describes evolution of transport in the Czech Republic and its specifics in connection with rail and bus transport. Practical part targets on the main operators on the Prague - Brno connection. These are České dráhy, RegioJet, Tourbus, Eurolines and Flixbus. The operators description defines also services supply. Resulting in the final comparison, the thesis will provide an answer which of the operator is the most efficent for the passengers

Rail transport of dangerous goods

This diploma thesis deals with the transport of dangerous goods by rail in order to present and map this issue. Carriage of such cargo poses a threat to persons, animals, property and the environment, therefore it folllows the special rules established in the international agreement RID. The emphasis is placed on its analysis and subsequent application of acquired theoretical knowledge to a practical example of transport of dangerous flammable and toxic substances to the East European country.

Design of corrugation measuring device

This bachelor thesis describes the development of experimental corrugation measuring device. In the first part, mechanisms of corrugation formation and classification of corrugation, together with an analysis of measuring devices are described. According to the analysis, several design configurations were developed. The final variant is described in detail, together with the calculations. The output of this bachelor thesis includes complete technical drawings and price estimation.

Theoretical part is about graph theory and optimization, where is introduced for example representation of graphs, network flows or linear programming. Practical part deals with comparison of road and rail networks, motivational example and at least with the application on real data of whole Czech Republic.

The Potential of Railway Stations in Trade and Tourism

The thesis dealt with the quality of railway stations in the Czech Republic. It was focused mainly on the evaluation of the services offerings. The main objective of the thesis was to explore the potential of railway station within the scope of the trade development and tourism. For this purpose, the railway station in the city of Tábor was chosen. The thesis contains a mapping of the given place, comparing with the foreign railway stations and a marketing research carried out among train passengers travelling with the Czech Railway company. Based on the above mentioned data, the proposals were made with the goal to improve the range of trade and tourism services offerings and so to help better perception of the Tábor railway station in the eyes of the passengers.

Analysis of price, time and distance accessibility diferentitation in the Czech railroad system

Analysis of differences in price, time and distinct measures of accessibility for eské dráhy Abstract The main aim of this thesis is to resolve the issue of accessibility in the passenger rail network of eské dráhy in the Czech Republic. Secondary objectives are the analysis of distance, time availability, and price of passenger rail service. The main sources are the Railway Timetable 2009 and the geographic database Arc R 500. Basic tool for the processing is geographic information system (GIS) with extension Network Analyst. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a database with the values of distance, time availability and price. Secondary aims are to produce partial maps which present various types of accessibility. Part of the results are also the methodology for establishing different kinds of accessibility, the evaluation of methods used, and quality assessment models used in relation to the database and partial results of comparison with the literature. The aim of this work is to evaluate and analyze the rail transport in Ukraine, its history, structure, characteristics, to define its strengths and weaknesses. The work is divided into two parts: practical and theoretical. The theoretical part is focused on basic concepts of the topic, terminology and technical base of rail transport. In the practical part I will focus on the rail transport system in Ukraine, its classification, issues and tendencies of development. In conclusion I will summarize the results of the analysis, which I have recieved in the practical part.

Analysing the possibilities of passenger transport in the transport session Prague Ostrava.

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on analyzing the possibilities of passenger transport in the session Prague, Ostrava. It is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part there are the descriptions of the basic definitions and the types of the transport. The focus is mainly on rail transport, where the railway packages are described included new fourth railway package. The second part is the actual list of options of the transport between Prague and Ostrava region and a description of the individual companies that allow this transport. There is also description of the advantages and disadvantages of individual types of transport. The final part summarizes all types of transport and compared with each other considering different groups of passengers . The aim of the thesis is to analyze all options of passenger traffic between Prague and Ostrava.
