Technology of Online Voting Systems
Influence of stress on pilot abilities
Procházková, Hana ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on measuring the pilot´s stress during real flights. The general methodology is established. This methodology should be followed when measuring stress. This methodology is applied on students and pilots during a real flight. Results show that with the gradual data collection, this methodology could contribute to the long-term goal of setting the tolerable level of stress and help streamline flight training.
Czechoslovak Airlines in the seventies and eighties from the viewpoint of the employees
Andraschko, Rudolf Vladimír ; Krátká, Lenka (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with the career and private life of a specific group of employees of Czechoslovak airlines - cockpit crew, especially pilots - during the years 1970-1989 with a slight overlap into the 60's and 70's as the context of the work requires. This thesis is based on the method of oral history. Recordings with all the narrators were combined into integrated blocks of data, that shows how these people became pilots of Czechoslovak airlines but also how they managed to deal with everyday contact with the wide abroad, how their career progressed, how they were affected by changes in the history of Czechoslovakia and Czechoslovak airlines during the era of "Normalization". The author of this thesis tried to provide an insight into the history of pilot profession in the mentioned period based on creating a brief history of Czechoslovak airlines, archive materials concerning the trends in aviation and testimonies and interpretations of the narrators.
Electronic Flight Bag
Výsledný produkt obsahuje funkcie pre plánovanie letu, vlastnú leteckú mapu, pilotný denník, katalóg letísk s dátami z celého sveta a ďalšie. Podpora offline zaručuje funkčnosť v reálnych podmienkach letu. Konečný produkt sa taktiež snaží inovovať nad existujúcimi EFB aplikáciami zahrnutím funkcionalít, akými sú napríklad automatické kontrolné zoznamy a náhľad v rozšírenej realite.
Existing state-of-the art and development tendencies of methods and technologies in the field of aircraft movement control along aerodrome surface
Zubrvalčík, Jan ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with navigation on airport surface. In thesis there are described main surveillance systems, which are used for navigation on airport surface and systems for prediction and avoiding collisions. For all systems is listed principle of action, their usage, advantages and disadvantages and informations, which are provided by these systems. In last chapter there are compared properties of main surveillance systems.
Evaluation of the pilot's stress level during landing using a wearable electronics
Muschalik, David ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the possibilities of objective stress measurement. It chooses parameters that are suitable for measurement by commonly available wearable electronics. It establishes a methodology for measuring stress using these devices, which it then verifies by conducting experiments with flight school students. It serves as proof of concept for similar measurements in further research or in flight schools.
Effect of stress on pilot performance
Dedinský, Miroslav ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to find out whether it is possible to measure stress during piloting. If so, it would be possible to develop systems that could help pilots in stressful situations and thus alleviate the stress, this would have great impact and possitively improve work performance. There are few similar studies in the field, the stress factors that affect the pilots and what physiological changes are observable in such situations. Finally, an experimental measurement is performed during three flights, which is aimed to demonstrate the information obtained and thus the possibility of measuring stress and the metod to do so.
Balloon Pilot's Assistent
Hora, Tomáš ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis describes concept and implementation of application assisting balloon pilots with guiding to a chosen target. Theoretical part is focused on basics of ballooning and navigation. Designed application uses proprietary OziExplorer files, clearly displays all information from external GPS unit connected via COM port and saves travelled path and waypoints. Important feature of the application is getting forecast of wind flow in various altitudes from the internet before the flight and analysis of information from GPS for calculation actual air flow during flight. In the end of this thesis the application is tested in real environment and its functionality is evaluated.
History of Civil Aviation 1970-2000
Zubrvalčík, Jan ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor‘s thesis is utilize consice summary of history of civil aviation between year 1970 to 2000 and compare their performance. This era is typical with out-set of airplanes with large capacity and new construction solutions. This thesis is focused on planes for long distance with large capacity, but also on planes for middle and short distances too. Thesis is divided by range of airplanes and special charter is about supersonic civil planes.
The Methodology of Gliders Pilot Training
FORMÁNEK, David
This thesis is focused on the list and the comparison of methodologies and texts used in the training of flying gliders from the mid 20th and the early 21st century. The thesis contains the description of their advantages and disadvantages in term of teaching flying and my own proposal of new teaching materials and the metodology based on the theoretical and practical experience. Parts of the proposal contain the chapter concerning initial and follow-on training. This thesis contains also the evaluation of methodologies by an active instructor and student of pilot training.
