Porovnávání klíčivosti a přežívání semenáčků v mikrostanovištích pastvin
VACKOVÁ, Tereza
The success of seedling survival was studied in microhabitats of a pasture. Seed germination of three species Trifolium pratense, Achillea millefolium and Carlina acaulis was observed in different types of microhabitats i.e. molehills, anthills, wild boar disturbances, and artificial gaps. Also, the environmental factors were measured. The observed microsites varied greatly in their soil conditions and seedlings of Trifolium pratense performed the best, particularly in wild boar disturbances.
Agricultural settlement - Mountain pastoral cooperatives in the district of Trutnov from 1945 to 1949
Nováková, Tamara ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor) ; Holubec, Stanislav (referee) ; Dvořák, Tomáš (referee)
The history of mountain pastoral cooperatives 1945-1949 has not yet been sufficiently elaborated and reflected in the whole range of issues, not even at the national level, let alone at the level of each border political district or otherwise defined region. The presented text will focus on the genesis of mountain pasture cooperatives at the national level, in the political post-war context, including the fundamental theoretical background, and will describe in particular the implementation of six cooperatives in the Giant Mts (Krkonoše in Czech) and Giant Mts foothills, in particular the Trutnov political district. In the form of a probe, the implemented HPDs in the Prachatice district will be described for comparison. Comparison of the theoretical plans of the Ministry of Agriculture with concrete implementation in the complicated reality of the various ways of re-locating post-war sites in the Trutnov district brings a new perspective firstly on the evaluation of the success of the mountain pastoral cooperatives or on the limits and possibilities of their success. Secondly, it presents pastoral cooperatives as a key player in the transformation of the cultural landscape of some localities affected by them. At the same time, the study describes the exklusive possibility for grassland promoters to...
Wallachian pastures: condition, preservation and conservation potential
Mizera, Ondřej ; Křenová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Kindlmann, Pavel (referee)
For centuries, pastures were an important part of the European landscape. Grazing was widespread in the Moravian Wallachia region, where a unique grazing landscape was created. The aim of this thesis is to clarify which pastures were preserved to this day in eleven cadastral areas of the Rožnovská Bečva River valley and evaluates their importance for nature conservation. For this purpose, imprints of historical maps of Stable Cadastre for half of the 19th century were used and a vector layer of former pastures was created. In the ArcGIS Pro program, this vector layer of pastures was compared with the NATURA 2000 habitat mapping layer, the consolidated ecosystem layer (KVES), the zonation of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area and the network of small-scale protected areas. The current state of former pastures was examined and land used changes between common and private pastures were compared. It was found that a high proportion of historic pastures has disappeared. The main reason for the disappearance is artificial afforestation; other pastures were abandoned and overgrown spontaneously. Some historical pastures, more often common pastures located near the settlements, were built up. The pastures preserved so far are very valuable for conservation and are an important component of the local...
Horses and vegetation
Třeštíková, Tereza ; Herben, Tomáš (advisor) ; Mládek, Jan (referee)
Many studies show that large herbivores can have an important impact on the composition of vegetation. With the establishment of a year round, low density grazing regime, plant ecologists and nature managers expect that through selective grazing, herbivores will create a mosaic of different vegetation communities varying in structure and plant species composition. It is believed that such a mosaic in the end will guarantee a high degree of biodiversity. Grazing will, therefore, seem to be a suitable means to maintain grass. Also important is the ability of herbivores affect vegetation through endozoochory. In this thesis I have tried to find out what species of diet horses prefer regarding to plant species and what plant species they can spread through out endozoochory. I have compared this knowledge with the composition of pasture and meadow vegetation at the researched locality in Malenice and Hoslovice. With the purpose of finding out the preferences I established spots where I registered data on vegetation before pasture and the time intervals during the pasture. Afterwards, I researched the amount of sprouts and the composition of seedlings in excrements that I let germinate. I had to create phytocenologic shots from the pastures and meadows to compare the species of composition of grazed and...
Porovnání fauny slíďákovitých pavouků pastvin skotu a ovcí v okolí Nasavrk
Blažek, Jiří
The main target of my diploma thesis was the comparison of wolfspider fauna on cattle and sheep grazing pastures. For this reason I laid pitfall traps at these pastures during three months of 2017. I collected pitffall traps every month. Totally I got 90 samples. 3418 spiders were caught in total, from this 1164 individuals belonged to wolfspiders. I determinated all adults wolfspiders and sorted them into 6 species. Ammount of spiders and wolspiders of course varied during the time of study. The most abundant month was May (2532 spiders, 876 of wolfspiders), the number of caught spiders was decreasing rapidly in following months. The most numerous wolfspider spieces was Pardosa palustris (77 % of all wolfspiders). No red list or rare species of wolfspider was caught. Results of study prove that abundance or species diversity of wolfspiders isn´t influenced by species of grazing animal. But intensity of grazing has influence on species diversity and abundance of wolfspiders and spiders generally. Both indicators are decreasing with increas of grazing intensity.
The Application of the National Footprint Accounts for agricultural production based on national data
Corlannová, Lenka ; Vačkářová, Davina Elena (advisor) ; Třebický, Viktor (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to compare the National Footprint Accounts of the Czech Republic in the section of cropland and grazing land for the year 2007 based on globally available data and data available in the Czech Republic, and also to compare these National Footprint Accounts of the Czech Republic based on nationally available data from the years 2007 and 2013. This thesis used the method of calculation of the National Footprint Accounts developed by Global Footprint Network. The ecological footprint of cropland of the Czech Republic is lower according to national data compared to global data while the ecological footprint of grazing land is higher. According to national data, the ecological footprint of both cropland and grazing land of the Czech Republic was lower in 2013 compared to 2007. This work gives an opportunity to compare the calculation of the ecological footprint and biocapacity of cropland and grazing land based on different data sources and to compare the results based on data from 2007 and 2013. Reconstruction design of a farm in Jirice, Pelhrimov district
Suk, Jan ; Kykal, Jiří (advisor) ; Jaroslav, Jaroslav (referee)
The goal of the thesis is to give a comprehensive view into dairy cattle breeding and reconstruction of agricultural buildings, specifically the reconstruction of two existing K-96 type cowsheds. Building are located in Jiřice village, Pelhřimov district. These buildings were a part of an agricultural area and while one of them is still used for its purpose, i.e. breeding of dairy cattle, the other is not. The Master's thesis has two parts, first one being a literary research, and second one being a project documentation for construction approvals for reconstruction of said buldings. The focus of the reconstruction is on the comfort of the stabled dairy cows and requirements on welfare of cattle are implemented in the reconstruction design. Fixed stabling in the building with stables for dairy cows is in the reconstruction design changed to free one bedding. A milking parlor is planned to be in the second building, including space for the cattle to wait in before milking, there will also be a cheese factory making hard cheese and storerooms. The reconstruction design for the agricultural buildings is in accordance with valid legal regulations requested by the EU and regional planning of Jiřice village.
Monitoring of ecological conditions and occurence of selected legume species and herbs in grassland
JAKŠOVÁ, Marie
Understanding the importance and the possible use of clover in permanent grassland is very important. Their irreplaceable role in nitrogen fixation and enrich the soil of this essential element is very important. The significance of herbs in grassland is also significant, even though its importance is often overlooked. Herbs not only serve as indicators of habitat conditions, but also can improve the quality and palatability of forage. If we know the herbs and legumes and their habitat requirements will help us select the most suitable way of management and the effective use of the potential of the habitat. The aim of the thesis was to observe conditions of use and the occurrence of selected legumes and herbs in TTP. Research can therefore conclude that the biggest influence on the composition of the grassland have ecological conditions. Way management can to some extent affect the crop themselves, but the biggest factor remains what we can not influence and that is the weather. The results also shows that the richer pastures.
