Stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school

This diploma thesis focuses on stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school. The theoretical part describes stressful and risk factors, which negatively influence the occupation of a teacher and therefore affect teachers' mental health. Not only stress and stressful situations are described in this chapter but also their causes and possible techniques to manage them. This part also deals with occupational burnout and its most common causes. Further, the occupational burnout prevention and relaxation techniques to avoid the burnout are described. The last important topic in the theoretical part is mental hygiene and how is mental hygiene perceived. This topic also concentrates on principles of mental hygiene, which are considered to be a tool for supporting mental health and can help avoid the mentioned syndrome. The final theoretical part describes professional development as a kind of protection of mental hygiene and gives examples of selected specific techniques. Teachers'attitudes towards mental hygiene in special school

This thesis deals with teachers' attitudes towards mental hygiene in a special primary school for pupils with severe and multiple disabilities. It aims to describe and understand attitudes towards mental hygiene at a cognitive, emotional and conative level. Theoretical part of the thesis describes special primary school, the profession of teachers, summarizes the theoretical knowledge of mental hygiene and defines attitude. The thesis further contains qualitative research, which uses the method of semi-structured interview and answers the research question. According to the results of the research, teachers in special primary school have positive attitudes towards mental hygiene at all levels. Their opinions, thoughts and ideas coincide with findings from professional literature. For the teachers, mental hygiene is associated with pleasant emotions. Mental hygiene of social worker working with clients with mental illness

This bachelor thesis takes interest in mental hygiene of social workers working with clients with mental illnesses. I have been focused on facility Domov Libníč, where I had a practice for two weeks in the second grade and I chose the same facility again in the third year. Aim of this bachelor thesis is to reveal which kind of mental hygiene techniques are used by social workers in Domov Libníč and highlight that mental hygiene is very important in life of social workers. The main reason is that social work is very demanding especially on balance of mental health. Non-use of mental hygiene make impossible for social workers to do their work with clients effectively and this can lead to burnout, which is threatens in this profession. In theoretical part I have been focused on a relevance of supervision, which is very important part of mental balance, burnout syndrome, but mainly mental hygiene and its methods and applications. The research survey was processed by qualitative research using a method of interviewing, more specifically using semi-standardized interview with social workers. I received information from social workers which kind of techniques of mental hygiene they use. For my research, it is essential, whether application mental hygiene and supervision help against stress and burnout. I also asked social workers if they have any solutions, how their work in facility could be less stressful. At the end of my thesis I could see the results and that is that the social workers use lots of types of methods of mental hygiene which help them to stay in mental balance. They even use individual supervisions which are offered by leaders of facilities because the group ones don't suit them due distrust between each other's.
Managing of the workers´ workload in selected home hospic care

The main objective of a social worker and a nurse is to improve the quality of life of the person in the terminal stage of the disease. A social worker and nurse of home hospice care are normally part of a multidisciplinary team in hospice care and, together with other professionals, contribute to improving the quality of clients' lives. Many home care workers are subjected to daily stress and are at risk of burnout or the development of some anxiety disorder or depression. The topic of the bachelor thesis is how the workers in the selected home hospice care manage their workload. The aim of the work is to map the workers' workload and how the workers deal with it. The main research question is: What factors do affect workload management in home hospice care? The qualitative data collection was used as a methodology, using the interview method and the semi-structured interview technique. Employees in hospice care are selected by the quota selection method. The selected quotas are: The interviewee works in direct care with the client for at least half a year and is willing to cooperate.
A healthy lifestyle and a family with a child with disabilities

This thesis deals with the healthy lifestyle of parents of children with disabilities. The aim of the work, which is divided into four parts, is to analyze specifically set thematic parts related to the lives of families of children with disabilities and to create a relatively comprehensive synthesis mapping and reflecting on the given issue programmatically from various perspectives. The thesis also points out neglected connections in the life of parents of children with disabilities and stereotypes and prejudices of society.
The EthicalDilemmas of the Employees (At/In) The Depart Ment With a Special Regime

This bachelor thesis ponders a topic of ethical dilemmas occured at social workers while working in nursing homes for elderly. This paper is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with ethical dilemmas and coping with them. Therefore, moral, moral behaviour, professional ethics as well as moral codex are looked into. The theoretical part also describes the burnout syndrome, mental hygiene and means of relaxing along with professional supervision in the workplace. Moreover, social services and social workers are defined, including key attitudes towards a client. The practical part is built on the research itself based on personal experience of social workers. In order to collect the data a qualitative research, a method of enquiry and semi-structured questionnaire were applied. The team of four women and two men, working in the Nursing home for the elderly in Máj in České Budějovice, was chosen via the intentional choice. The minimal length of work experience for one year represented the key criterium for the intentional choice. The last chapter of the practical part is devoted to the analysis of the collected data. Finally, the outcomes of the research are presented in the conclusion of the paper.
Psychohygiene as An Essential Prerequisite for Burnout Syndrome among Workers in The Social Sphere

The Bachelor's thesis focuses on mental hygiene as a basic prerequisite for preventing burnout syndrome among social workers. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the Bachelor's thesis is then divided into three main chapters. The first chapter defines the key difference between the two main professions in social work social workers and social services workers. The second chapter characterizes burnout syndrome and describes the basic stages of burnout experienced by people suffering from this syndrome. The third chapter then explains the concept of mental hygiene and discusses its effect on preventing burnout. The objective of the practical part is to map awareness of burnout syndrome and mental hygiene. Next, it aims to describe mental hygiene among social workers and social services workers employed in the Retirement Home in Benešov. The data from a qualitative research were collected using semi-structured interviews. The research showed that the employees of the Retirement Home in Benešov have a basic awareness of burnout syndrome and mental hygiene. However, the research has also identified that the retirement home offers no professional supervision, but the employees would welcome it.
The incidence of burnout syndrome in nurses in selected hospital wards.

This diploma thesis deals with the occurrence of the syndrome of burnout in nurses. The main objectives of this work is to determine the incidence of burnout among nurses in selected hospital wards and selected hospitals. In the theoretical part of the thesis is described the profession of nurses, burnout and the possibilities of its prevention. In the practical part I describe the goals, objectives, hypotheses and methodology of my work. Research investigation, implement it through a standardized questionnaire, the Maslach Burnout Inverters, which is designed for the monitoring of the burnout syndrome in the exposed occupations in the hospital in České Budějovice, Písek and Strakonice. The data obtained evaluating the statistical method of chi square test, which I will verify pre-established hypotheses of work. The obtained results are evaluated and interpreted.
Teachers´ mental condition at their pedagogical practise

The dissertation deals with mental condition of teachers. Theoretical part of the dissertation aims to define basic terms related to the main topic, delimit terms to mental condition of the teachers and to its revitalization. Special attention is dedicated to burnout syndrome, because teachers are considerably threatened group. Practical part is made by qualitative research. Via semi-structured interviews are investigated causes of teachers´s stress and strategies, which are used to maintaining mental and professional condition.
Protective psychohygienic factors in the work of teachers at business academies

This bachelor thesis deals with the stress burden of teachers of economic subjects at business academies. The first part of the thesis focuses on what types of stress we distinguish, what are its manifestations and what effect it has on the health condition. The second part is focused on mental hygiene. Importance of interest in mental hygiene and techniques that may help teachers to maintain mental health. The practical part is focused on protective psychohygienic factors in the work of teachers at business academies. Research was conducted through a semi-structured interview. Conclusion of the bachelor thesis contains a summary and suggestions for reduction of the stress burden of teachers of economic subjects at secondary schools.
