Digital platforms and its impact on labor law
Konečný, Adam ; Morávek, Jakub (referee)
This thesis provides an analysis of digital platforms and its impact on labour law and related work patterns in general. The main focus is upon description of caused problems and their possible solutions whereas the question of worker's status in the platform economy and its arrangements is predominantly discussed. The introduction leads the reader to general description of digital platforms and its three main subsets (crowdsourcing, on deman work and passenger transport services). For a better undestanding the thesis further gives an idea of working conditions by analysing each working stage affected by platforms. After these initial introductory findings the thesis focuses on potential problems. The possible problems are first being described in general and then discussed from the practical point of view as they were already seen by various courts in the past. The sole analysis of courts decision is rather extensive since the three chosen decisions not only give us answers to some problematic questions but they also provide highly beneficial info about platforms in general and their business models as well. Finally, after the thesis is done with court decisions it continues to analyze applicable legal frameworks. First are being analyzed the European requirements and frameworks provided by EU...

Childbirth as a natural part of life, where the woman giving birth has prime position and the option of choice. She should feel free and accepted - to be able to give birth physiologically (without unnecessary external interference). Physiological childbirth as the best for a woman, a baby and their relationship. Up to 80 % of women do not need a doctor to give birth, but only a "suitable environment". In my diploma thesis I propose a "maternity house". This concept is well-known abroad, in our country it is a new type of care. For this purpose, I use two existing houses, which are owned by the city of Blansko and stand next to the hospital.
Analysis of Media Image of Procrastination as a New Type of Discourse of Work in Czechia
Špaček, Martin ; Jirák, Jan (advisor) ; Soukup, Martin (referee)
This master's thesis presents an analysis of the discourse of procrastination in the Czech media, with a special focus on contemporary discourse of work. Procrastination was for long an unknown phenomenon in the Czech Republic, but a few years ago it was possible to notice that it was fast entering people's active vocabularies, and that media articles, indeed whole books, on it were starting to appear. The aim of this thesis is to present, using the example of procrastination, the dynamics of possible forms and transformations of a given media image in selected Czech periodicals between 1.1.1995 and 31.12.2014. The analysis uses the discourse analysis method, as put forward by Norman Fairclough, and for the purposes of interpretation it uses above all critical theories of contemporary work. The media image in the analytical part is described first of all according to the stratification and characterisation of individual texts. Subsequently, the work analyses the structure of these texts, postulating the thesis that the discourse of procrastination comprises various structural elements. In the next part, in a discourse analysis of procrastination, these elements are presented using relevant extracts from the texts. In this part the work also looks at the intertextuality of the texts, the potential...

The thesis deals with the problems of unemployment and mentions consequences of loss of a job. It introduces the development of unemployment, labour market policy and focuses on social policy in the area of support for people in material need which is connected with involvement in community service. This thesis also tries to introduce the application of community services in the Děčín region in a complex way. In the practical part the author makes a survey and compares evaluation of community services in four categories. The four categories comprise job centre employees who offer community services, organizers of community services, those who do community services and unemployed people who refuse...

Letáková, Veronika ; Vitásková, Hana (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
The theme of my thesis is Active management of labour and its effects on woman's psyche. The work is devided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical section describes labour and stages of labour, its active management and psyche of women during their pregnancy and after the labour. The main aim of the practical part of my bachelor thesis was to find out whether women have a clue about what is active manegement of birth and how they felt during the intervention in labour. To achieve the aims of quantitative research method has been selected in the form of a questionnaire survey. Research was conducted using a questionnaire which women fill voluntarily and anonymously. 238 women completed the questionnaire, 235 questionnaires were used for the research. The research has found that more than half of women have no idea what active management of labour is. As we assumed in our hypotheses, most women were informed and had the choice of the interventions in childbirth and the positive feelings of individual interventions outweighed the negative feelings. Furthermore, our hypothesis has been confirmed, that more tearful and anxious are women after childbirth with episiotomy and greater injury than women with less or no injury. Similarly, the hypothesis that a delivery with epidural...

A group of women with administered epidural analgesia during labour were compared to a group of women without administration of epidural analgesia. Then it was looked at whether this method of analgesia has any effect on the length of the first and second stages of labour. It was ascertained by statistical methods that epidural analgesia has no effect on the duration of the first and second stages of labour.
