Motivation for treatment of dependence on addictive substances among patients in detoxification department
Břoušková, Barbora ; Šťastná, Lenka (advisor) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (referee)
Background: The psychology of behavior change and addictive substance users' motivation to get treatment is a topical issue in addictology. The reasons why patients enter treatment vary; they have different goals, and they differ in the degree to which they are able to reflect these goals. To understand addictive behavior, it is necessary to pay attention to all aspects that determine it, i.e. to recognize the abilities, opportunities and motivations of their behavior and their interaction. The topic of patient motivation at the very beginning of the institutional treatment process of addiction, i.e. when entering detox, was not given enough attention in the Czech Republic, despite the fact that detoxification is in many cases the first, indispensable step in starting medium-term and long-term residential treatment of addiction, and work with motivation is a method of direct work with patients. Aims: To map the motivation for treatment of addiction to addictive substances in patients voluntarily hospitalized at the Detox K20department at the Kosmonosy Psychiatric Hospital. To describe the characteristics of these patients, the differences in their motivation and compare their motivation in terms of socio-demographic data, preferential addictive substances, experience with addiction treatment and...
Hagiotherapy and its benefits from the point of view of women who underwent alcohol addiction treatment in the Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice and are now abstaining
Miklasová, Iveta ; Remeš, Prokop (advisor) ; Vacek, Jaroslav (referee)
The topic of my bachelor thesis is Hagiotherapy and its benefits regarded by women who underwent institutional alcohol addiction treatment in Psychiatric hospital Bohnice and who abstain now. Hagiotherapy is a psychotherapeutic method, its name comes from Greek "therapeia" - care, treatment and "hagios" - saint, pure, holy. Hagiotherapy is a form of bibliotherapy which uses Holy Scripture as a mirror. Unlike the speech-based therapy ordinarily used among psychological means it carries a strong expressive context consisting in parallels from chosen biblical stories and the therapy is also based on the therapist himself who uses those stories and appropriate situational rituals. The aim of my thesis is to find the possible benefits of hagiotherapy for alcohol addicted women during their institutional treatment and our aim is to determine whether the women consider the method beneficial and effective in relation to their life in abstinence. In the theoretical part we first clarify some basic terms connected with addiction and its treatment. Then we treat therapeutic methods in alcohol addiction treatment, including hagiotherapy, which makes part of the process of treating alcohol addicted women in Psychiatric hospital Bohnice for a quarter century. The practical part describes the research process....

Jerson, Šárka ; Šejvl, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kulhánek, Adam (referee)
The Internet has become the dominant medium in the last decade, and increasingly, mobile phone use is a natural part of our lives, and in any age category. Tobacco use is currently very popular, according to the State Health Institute (2018), a total of 25.2% of smokers in the adult population in 2017. The thesis deals with the research carried out in 2018, focusing on the use of mobile phones and the use of tobacco products by members of the Police of the Czech Republic, comparing the use during working hours against use outside of working hours. Data collection was conducted through a standardized questionnaire survey. To determine the use of tobacco, the Cigarettes Scale Questionnaire was used and a Chen Internet Scale Questionnaire was used to determine the use of the mobile phone. In the form of simple, deliberate selection on the basis of possibilities and availability, the members of the Police of the Czech Republic in the Česká Lípa District were included in the research and were included in twelve local offices. The number of respondents involved in the survey was 100 policemen. The data I received from the questionnaires was summed up before the statistical processing and the categorization of the answers was done. The results obtained were rewritten into a table in MS Excel, where they were...

Adamíková, Žaneta ; Bitnar, Petr (advisor) ; Janečková, Alexandra (referee)
This thesis is a discussion of the possibilities of using movement therapy as a complementary method within the context of medium-term or long-term institutional treatment of addictions. It is divided into 3 parts. The objective of the first part is to describe the basic concepts and to disseminate the information regarding addiction consequences and its causes. It also includes epidemiological data, a deconstruction of the system of medical care, and the basic tools used in the substance abuse treatment. Complementary to this, special parts map the possibilities of the use of physical activity involving body-oriented methods. It's objective is to detail the effects of these methods on patients. The positive effects highlighted by my thesis are the reason why the movement interventions should be used as a part of the complex treatment. In the second part, common illnesses that lie among addicted people are further examined, mapping the treatment of these diseases through the use of physical therapy. The practical, third part involves the qualitative data and contains the case report of a patient who is dependent on several addictive substances and is currently undergoing the treatment in a psychiatric hospital. Her medical and drug history, individual therapy, including kinesiological analysis,...
